Objectives : Cerebrovascular disease in children is more common than once recognized and the etiology. In stroke patient, dysphagia is a common. Dysphagia often affects the rehabilitation of stroke patients by increasing the risk of aspiration pneumonia and malnutrition. This is the clinical report about 1 case of patient with dysphagia who had a stroke developed after operation. Methods : The herb medicine, moxibustion and acupuncture therapies were applied for treating this patient's chief symptom. Results : This patient's dysphagia was improved by oriental medical therapy. Conclusions : The result suggests that the herb medicine and acupuncture therapies is efficacious against dysphagia associated with stroke. We though that more studies about the Oriental medical treatment on dysphagia associated with stroke are needed.

다공성 중공사막 분리막 기액접촉기을 이용한 황산화물 제거장치를 제작하고 다양한 상용 분리막과 자체 제작한 분리막을 이용하여 황산화물 제거 성능 실험을 수행하였다. 분리막을 이용한 황산화물 제거 성능 평가 결과 대단히 우수한 제거효율을 보였다. 중공사막을 이용하여 $SO_2$를 제거할 경우에 액막 저항을 낮출 수 있는 흡수제와 첨가제의 선정, 막 재질, 막 제조조건 등이 최적의 G-L Contactor개발에 중요한 변수로 나타났다. 향후 보다 소형화되고, 경제적이며 효율이 우수한 G-L Contactor System 개발에 대한 연구를 진행할 것이다.

평균입자크기가 200 ${\mu}m$인 코디어라이트 분말을 사용하여 다공성 필터를 제조한 후, 진공함침법으로 $V_2O_5$, CuO, $LaCoO_3$ 촉매를 담지시킨 후 NO와 $SO_2$ 기체를 촉매 담지 세라믹필터에 동시 통과시키면서 NOx/SOx의 동시제거효율을 측정하였다. 제조된 다공성 필터의 기공률은 61.6%였고, 압축강도는 12.3 MPa이었으며, 면속도 5 cm/sec에서의 차압은 147 Pa이었다. NO와 $SO_2$의 동시제거효율을 분석해 본 결과, 페로브스카이트계 $LaCoO_3$ 촉매의 동시제거효율이 가장 우수함을 확인하였으며, $LaCoO_3$ 촉매의 NO에 대한 제거효율은 90% 이상, $SO_2$에 대해서는 80% 이상이었다.

Objective : This study was designed to investigate causes, symptoms and treatments for the diabetes insipidus with oriental medical literatures. Methods : We surveyed the oriental and western medical books from to recent published bocks that have articles on diabetes insipidus Results and Conclusions : The symptoms of diabetes insipidus are polyuria and polydipsia, these are similar symptoms of Pae-so(肺消), Gouk-so, So-gal(消渴), Sang-so(上消), Sin-so(腎消), So-sin(消腎), Ha-so(下消) and Sin-jung(腎中) of kinds of So-gal(消渴) in the oriental medicine. The major causes of diabetes insipidus are the deficiency of the yin of the kidney, the heat of the heart and the dryness of the pulmonary. The methods of treatment are tonifying the yin of the kidney(滋補腎陰), tonifying qi and arrest discharges(益氣固澁), removing heat to moisten dryness (淸熱潤燥) and promoting fluid production to quench thirst(生津止葛). The herbal-medications for treatment are So-galbang and Yidongtang(消渴方合二冬湯), Ryoumijihawangtang gamibang(六味地黃湯加味方).

Renal failure means irreversible damage and depression of renal function, represented by glomerular filtration rate(GFR). A renal failure patient with uremia and anemia is presented. Anemia, in this patient, appeared before uremia did. A 55 year-old male patient was treated for renal failure with Weilingtang. Improvement was observed in, not only GFR, blood urea nitrogen(BUN), and creatinine, but also in such symptoms as difficulty in urine excretion, dyspepsia and abdominal swelling. But anemia appeared during treatment, so a mixture of Dangguibuxuetang(當歸補血湯) and Xiongguitang(芎歸湯) was prescribed. After this treatment, improvement in hemoglobin, and hematocrit was observed.

Purpose : This study is to investigate the trends of study of cold hypersensitivity in Korean traditional medicine and to direct for future research. Methods : We searched for papers which had used cold hypersensitivity in korean journals. Results : 25 papers were found. 10 papers were associated with characteristics of cold hypersensitivity. 8 papers were associated with case study. 5 papers were associated with diagnosis. 2 papers were associated with research for treatment effect. Conclusion : Studies have been conducted on cold hypersensitivity in various fields. But evidence is not enough, so more research will be needed.

This study was undertaken to define the effect of SoPung-Tang extract on hypertension in spontaneous hypertensive rat and norepinephrine- induced arterial contraction in rabbit. In order to investigate the effect of SoPung-Tang extract on contracted rabbit carotid arterial strips, transverse strips with intact or damaged endothelium were used for the experiment using organ bath. To analyze the mechanism of SoPung-Tang extract-induced relaxation, SoPung-Tang extract infused into contracted arterial strips induced by norepinephrine after treatment of indomethacin, Nu-nitro-L-arginine, methylene blue or tetraethylammonium chloride. Blood pressure was significantly decreased five days after administration of SoPung-Tang extract. SoPung-Tang extract relax arterial strip with endothelium contracted by norepinephrine, but in the strips without endothelium, SoPung-Tang extract- induced relaxation was significantly inhibited. SoPung-Tang relax arterial strip contracted by norepinephrine, but in the strips contracted by high $K^+$, SoPung-Tang extract-induced relaxation was significantly inhibited. The endothelium-dependent relaxation induced by SoPung-Tang extract was decreased by the pre-treatment of $N{\omega}$-nitro-L-arginine or methylene blue, but it was not observed in the strips pre-treated with indomethacin or tetraethylammonium chloride. When $Ca^{2+}$ was applied, the strips which were contracted by norepinephrine in a $Ca^{2+}$-free solution, arterial contraction was increased. But pre-treatment of SoPung-Tang extract inhibited contractile response to $Ca^{2+}$. We suggest that SoPung-Tang could be applied effectively for hypertension and may suppress influx of extra-cellular $Ca^{2+}$ through the formation of nitric oxide in the vascular endothelial cells.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to review of Clinical trials related to the treatment of chemotherapy induced-toxicity by acupuncture therapy. Methods : We searched PubMed by using word of "chemotherapy induced, acupuncture" (Limits : Full text available, 10 years, Clinical trials, Humans, English). We analyzed 15 research paper and examined published journals, years, countries, topic, study design, their results, interventions, participants and instruments of assessment. Results : Eleven journals with fifteen papers were searched. These papers were published in USA, Germany, etc. On the topic of these clinical trials, seven of them were about nausea(vomiting), two about peripheral neuropathy, two about hot flash, two about arthralgia and one about neutropenia, one about fatigue. Six of these studies were single blinded, randomized controlled trial. Twelve studies reported significant effect. The median for number of final participants was 35.5 persons. Assessment for outcomes were versatile questionnaire, nerve conduction studies, WBC, ANC, G-CSF examination, etc. Conclusions : Their median for impact factor was 3.650 and average modified Jadad score of six RCTs was 4.33. In order to provide appropriate evidence regarding the effectiveness of acupuncture in treatment for chemotherapy-induced toxicity, more rigorous and well-designed studies are necessary.

Within 100 pc of the Galactic Centre the tidal field is extremely strong. We investigate the survival of star clusters of different masses in strong tidal fields. We show that dense low-mass clusters are destroyed by strong tidal fields as the tidal fields add energy to the cluster. Only massive clusters (like the Arches) can survive for more than 1-2 Myr in strong tidal fields. Therefore, in Galactic Centre environments only massive young clusters should ever be observed.

주가지수선물시장은 주식투자에 따르는 위험을 효과적으로 관리할 수 있는 제도적 장치로서 오늘날 불안한 주식시장 현황에 있어서 더욱더 중요한 위치를 갖고 있다. 현재 이러한 주가지수선물거래에 있어서 Moving Average 를 예측하고자 하는 여러 트레이딩 시스템을 선보이고 있다. 이 논문에서는 과거의 데이터를 토대로 한 Moving Average Line 분석에 있어서 일반적으로 기존방법보다 효과적이라고 알려진 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 Moving Average 의 최적 Period 예측 시스템을 구현한다.
