  • Security models for key exchange protocols have been researched for years, however, lots of them only focus on what secret can be compromised but they do not differentiate the timing of secrets compromise, such as the extended Canetti-Krawczyk (eCK) model. In this paper, we propose a new security model for key exchange protocols which can not only consider what keys can be compromised as well as when they are compromised. The proposed security model is important to the security proof of the key exchange protocols with forward secrecy (either weak forward secrecy (wFS) or strong forward secrecy (sFS)). In addition, a new kind of key compromise impersonation (KCI) attacks which is called strong key compromise impersonation (sKCI) attack is proposed. Finally, we provide a new one-round key exchange protocol called mOT+ based on mOT protocol. The security of the mOT+ is given in the new model. It can provide the properties of sKCI-resilience and sFS and it is secure even if the ephemeral key reveal query is considered.

  • In this paper, we present two verifier-based multi-party PAKE (password-authenticated key exchange) protocols. The shared key can be used for secure content transmission. The suggested protocols are secure against server compromise attacks. Our first protocol is designed to provide forward secrecy and security against known-key attacks. The second protocol is designed to additionally provide key secrecy against the server which means that even the server can not know the session keys of the users of a group. The suggested protocols have a constant number of rounds are provably secure in the standard model. To the best of our knowledge, the proposed protocols are the first secure multi-party PAKE protocols against server compromise attacks in the literature.

  • Y. Zheng introduced a new type of cryptograghic primitive as \"signcryption\", which combines a function of digital signature scheme with a symmetric key encryption algorithm. Signcryption doesn\`t only provide authenticity and confidentiality in a single step, but also give more efficient computation than the traditional \"signature-then-encryption\". And C. Gamage proposed a proxy-signcryption that efficiently combines a proxy signature with the signcryption. But, in the proposed signcryption schemes, one who obtains the sender\`s private key can recover the original message of a signcrypted text. That is, forward secrecy is not offered by the signcryption scheme with respect to the sender\`s private key. In this paper, we will propose a modified signcryption of Zheng\`s signcryption and a variant of proxy-signcryption with forward secrecy.ith forward secrecy.

  • A non-interactive key exchange protocol provides an efficiency of overall system by eliminating additional communication. However, traditional non-interactive key exchange protocols without updating a private key fail to provide forward secrecy, since there is no usage of ephemeral key for randomness of session key. In 2012, Sang et al. proposed a certificateless non-interactive key exchange(CL-NIKE) protocol, but they do not prove the security of the protocol and it does not provide forward secrecy. In this paper, we propose a new CL-NIKE protocol and it's security model. Then we prove the proposed protocol is secure under the security model based on DBDH(Decision Bilinear Diffie-Hellman) assumption. Moreover, we propose a CL-NIKE protocol with forward secrecy which updates user's private key by using multilinear map and prove it's security.

  • The world's widely used key exchange protocols are open cryptographic communication protocols, such as TLS/SSL, whereas in the financial field in Korea, key exchange protocols developed by industrial classification group have been used that are based on PKI(Public Key Infrastructure) which is suitable for the financial environments of Korea. However, the key exchange protocols are not only vulnerable to client impersonation attacks and known-key attacks, but also do not provide forward secrecy. Especially, an attacker with the private keys of the financial security server can easily get an old session-key that can decrypt the encrypted messages between the clients and the server. The exposure of the server's private keys by internal management problems, etc, results in a huge problem, such as exposure of a lot of private information and financial information of clients. In this paper, we analyze the weaknesses of the cryptographic communication protocols in use in Korea. We then propose two key exchange protocols which reduce the replacement cost of protocols and are also secure against client impersonation attacks and session-key and private key reveal attacks. The forward secrecy of the second protocol is reduced to the HDH(Hash Diffie-Hellman) problem.

  • Cryptographic protocol design in a two-party setting has of tel ignored the possibility of simultaneous message transmission by each of the two parties (i.e., using a duplex channel). In particular, most protocols for two-party key exchange have been designed assuming that parties alternate sending their messages (i.e., assuming a bidirectional half-duplex channel). However, by taking advantage of the communication characteristics of the network it may be possible to design protocols with improved latency. This is the focus of the present work. We present three provably-secure protocols for two-party authenticated key exchange (AKE) which require only a single round. Our first, most efficient protocol provides key independence but not forward secrecy. Our second scheme additionally provides forward secrecy but requires some additional computation. Security of these two protocols is analyzed in the random oracle model. Our final protocol provides the same strong security guarantees as our second protocol, but is proven secure in the standard model. This scheme is only slightly less efficient (from a computational perspective) than the previous ones. Our work provides the first provably- secure one-round protocols for two-party AKE which achieve forward secrecy.

  • In this paper, we investigate the security performance for cooperative networks over Nakagami-m fading channels. Based on whether the channel state information (CSI) of wiretap link is available or not, optimal relay selection (ORS) and suboptimal relay selection (SRS) schemes are considered. Also, multiple relays combining (MRC) scheme is considered for comparison purpose. The exact and asymptotic closed-form expressions for secrecy outage probability (SOP) are derived and simulations are presented to validate the accuracy of our proposed analytical results. The numerical results illustrate that the ORS is the best scheme and SRS scheme is better than MRC scheme in some special scenarios such as when the destination is far away from the relays. Furthermore, through asymptotic analysis, we obtain the closed-form expressions for the secrecy diversity order and secrecy array gain for the three different selection schemes. The secrecy diversity order is closely related to the number of relays and fading parameter between relay and destination.

  • Recently because of development of remote network technology, users are able to access the network freely without constraints of time and space. As users are getting more frequent to access the remote server in a computing environment, they are increasingly being exposed to various risk factors such as forward secrecy and server impersonation attack. Therefore, researches for remote user authentication scheme have been studying actively. This paper overcomes the weaknesses of many authentication schemes proposed recently. This paper suggests an improved authentication scheme that protects user's anonymity with preserving variable more safe and also provides forward secrecy.

  • In the paper, we consider password-based authenticated key exchange with different passwords, where the users do not share a password between themselves, but only with the server. The users make a session key using their different passwords with the help of the server. We propose an efficient password-based authenticated key exchange protocol with different passwords which achieves forward secrecy without random oracles. In fact this amount of computation and the number of rounds are comparable to the most efficient password-based authenticated key exchange protocol in the random oracle model. The protocol requires a client only to memorize a human-memorable password, and all other information necessary to run the protocol is made public.
