Mirror symmetry for del Pezzo surfaces was studied in [3] where they suggested that the mirror should take the form of a Landau-Ginzburg model with a particular type of elliptic fibration. This argument came from symplectic considerations of the derived categories involved. This problem was then considered again but from an algebro-geometric perspective by Gross, Hacking and Keel in [8]. Their construction allows one to construct a formal mirror family to a pair (S, D) where S is a smooth rational projective surface and D a certain type of Weil divisor supporting an ample or anti-ample class. In the case where the self intersection matrix for D is not negative semi-definite it was shown in [8] that this family may be lifted to an algebraic family over an affine base. In this paper we perform this construction for all smooth del Pezzo surfaces of degree at least two and obtain explicit equations for the mirror families and present the mirror to dP₂ as a double cover of ℙ².

A model test was carried out, in order to verify the hydrodynamic performances of public 30 feet class sailing yacht. In the initial design stage, the performances and the running attitude of sail yacht including the hull form and sail plan, appendages were estimated by VPP, from which made the representative test conditions. A new experiment system such as captive model device was composed because the running attitude could be changed by wind conditions. The test results show that the minimum resistance is generated in the heeling 20 degree, which was expected in the initial design stage. It is thought to be the useful informations that the keel has an effects on hydrodynamic forces and resistance differences between the upwind and the downwind condition. Also this paper is associated with the state-of-the-art of calculating sailing yacht performance as this is performed in velocity prediction program (VPP). The VPP results shows a typical shape of a sailing yacht and the designed yacht has the best performance at 120 degree angle of true wind with 20 knots.

These days, it is needed that more stability and reliability of Diesel engine. So it is essential that a systematic and comprehensive fault diagnosis analysis technology. this technology makes fault diagnosis analysis system more efficient. Expert System is required to make fault diagnosis analysis system. In this paper, fault and early diagnosis system is implemented to use Expert System development tools.

This paper describes the principles and structures of an expert system for arrester diagnosis. The expert system analyzes and decides the arrester condition by total leakage current, its harmonic component, and temperature because the deterioration of arresters appeared in an increase of leakage current and surface temperature of it. Additionally, influence of system voltage harmonics and ambient temperatures on leakage current changes were considered in the design. The expert system is consisted of a data acquisition module and a computer for monitoring. The acquired analog data are digitalized and transmitted to the computer by an optical link which is free from interference.

Objective : In March 2004, the second Informal Consultation Meeting on Development of International Standard of Acupuncture Point Locations was held in Beijing, China. Methods: Thirteen experts from WHO, Korea, China, and Japan attended the meeting, and they discussed the problems to establish an international standard of acupuncture point locations for education, research and quality of acupuncture treatment. Results and Conclusions : Based on the fundamental principles of respecting and reality, they recommended to determined the location of acupuncture points in the way of combining documentary analysis, clinical practices and factual measurements.

Variation within the intergenic spacer(IGS) of the ribosomal DNA gene for twenty-two strains of E. oxysporum and its formae speciales was examined by PCR, couped with RELP analysis. The length of the amplified IGS region was about 2.6 kb in all strains except F.oxysporum f. sp. cucumer-inum from Korea and F. oxysporum f. sp. niveum. Those two strains were 2.5 kb long. Restriction digestion of IGS-RELP regions by Eco RI, NruI, HincII, SAlI, SmaI, BalIi, HindIII, XhoI and KpnI gave rise to nine IGS hapoltypes among all strains. Cluster analysis based on the presence of absence of comigrating restriction reagments show the two groups based on 44% genetic similarity. These results demonstrated that analysis of IGS showed some difference within and between F. oxysporum formae speciales.

In order to study on the pigment formation of Serratia marcescens, the synthesis of prodigiosin was examined in the presence of a wide range of concentration of detergents. A high elevation of pigment formation was obtained in case of the treatment with SDC and SAP. And the population growth of the bacteria was increased by SDC and SAP, in the concentration of optimum concentration of pigment formation. The alkaline phosphatase activity was also increased in the treatment of SAP, SDC and SDS. The possible mechanism of the detergents on enhancement of pigment formation could be explained by an increase of enzyme activity and membrane transport.

The nucleic acid of Synechococcus sp. cyanophage was identified as double-stranded DNA by the result of digestion with enzymes such as exonucleases, DNase, and S1 nuclease, and by acridine orange staining. The cyanophage DNA was cleaved with several restriciton ehdonucleases such as ApaI, BamHI, Bg/II, HaeIII, Eco RI, HindIII, PstI, AND aPAI gave the clearest sets of bands on agarose gels and the fragment numbers for each were 12, 20, 29, 20, and 7, respectively. The sums of the size from Bam HI and PstI digestions were estimated approximately 227$\pm$4 kb, which are in agreement with the result of the pulsed field gel electrphoresis. This virus is thought to have the largest genosome among those of known cyanophages, which corresponds to the largest haed ot 90 nm when compared with the head sizes of cyanophages discovered since 1963.

To estimate genetic relationships within the genus Rhizopus, genetic variations in 20 strains were investigated by DGGE and PCR-RFLP of rDNA ITS region (ITSI, ITS2,5.8S). The size of the amplified products showed the interspecific polymorphisms, 650 bp,700 bp, and 900 bp. The DGGE approach allowed the separation of PCR amplicons of the same length according to their sequence variations. When the rDNA ITS region was digested with six restriction enzymes, 20 strains were classified into five RFLP haplotypes. The range of similarity between the 20 strains by PCR-RFLP was 42.3-100%. Based on the results of DGGE aud PCR-RFLP, the 20 strains were divided into four groups, R. oryzae, R. stolonifer, R. microsporus and R. homothallicus. Further study of R. homothallicus is required.

Morphological variations of six Korean and one Japanese populations of Parafossarulus manchouricus were observed. Mean length of shell was 9.36mm(n=376), and mean width was 8.0mm. Average aperture length and width were 4.72 and 3.78mm, respectively. Number of whorl ranged from 3.5 to 5.25(at most 4.5)in all popuiations . Yangsoori population had no spiral line or spiral keel, but ther populations had spiral lines. Number of spiral line on their penultimate shorls ranged 4 to 14.The lips of aperture were generally thickened, except in some Chongpyong, Haman and Fukuoka populations. The most of shell was eroded in only apex part and/ or in othker sculpture, especially Yangsoori population was heavily eroded.
