Relevance between Marketing Route of Social Media and Consumer Age Group for Choosing Dental Clinics

  • Background: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the relationship and route of dental Social Media marketing by age group and support effective dental marketingy by age group. Methods: A study was conducted on 265 people, aged 20 to 64 years, who lived in Seoul, Gyeonggi area and regularly used one or more of the social media platforms, Naver Band, Facebook, Instagram, KakaoStory, Twitter, or YouTube more than once a day. A 27-question questionnaire survey of approximately 10 minutes was conducted, and the collected data was statistically analyzed using the PASW program, with the significane level set to 0.05. Results: "Introduction of acquaintances" was the most common route to visit the dentist. Regarding the use of social media platforms based on age group, 'Instagram' had the highest frequency among people belonging to the age groups of 20 to 29 years and 30 to 39 years; 'YouTube' had the highest frequency among those aged 40 to 49 years; and 'Naver Band' had the highest frequency among those aged 50 to 65 years. Conclusion: The most frequently used social media by consumers according to age included Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. However, social media was found to have no significant impact on the choice of dental institutions, as the number of people who visited the dentist through "Introduction of acquaintances" was the highest, and "Introduction of acquaintances" did not have experience accessing the dentist site after dental marketing. If this study could provide customized marketing information for each age group through social media, it is expected that the marketing effect of dental institutions through social media would be maximized in the future.

관상동맥중재술을 받은 환자를 위한 스마트 프로그램이 질병관련 지식, 건강행위와 삶의 질에 미치는 효과: 비무작위 대조군설계 (The Effects of Smart Program for Patients Who Underwent Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (SP-PCI) on Disease-Related Knowledge, Health Behavior, and Quality of Life: A Non-Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Purpose: To identify the effects of a smart program for the patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (SP-PCI) on coronary disease-related knowledge, health behaviors, and quality of life. Methods: A nonequivalent control group with a non-synchronized design was utilized and 48 participants (experimental=22, control=26) were recruited from a university hospital in Gyeongsang area from May to December, 2016. The 12-week SP-PCI consisted of self-study of health information using smart phone applications (1/week), walking exercise (>5/week) using smart band, feedback using Kakao talk (2/week), and telephone counseling (1/week). Patients in the control group received usual care from their primary health care providers and a brief health education with basic self-management brochure after the PCI. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program through descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test, and t-test. Results: After the 12-week SP-PCI, the experimental group showed higher levels of coronary disease-related knowledge (t=2.43, p=.019), heart-related health behaviors (t=5.96, p<.001), regular exercise (Z=-4.47, p<.001), and quality of life-MCS (t=3.04, p=.004) and showed lower levels of stress (Z=-3.53, p<.001) and sodium intake (t=-4.43, p<.001) than those in the control group. There were no significant group differences in medication adherence and food intake in total energy, lipids, and cholesterol. Conclusion: The suggested SP-PCI provided easy access and cost-effective intervention for patients after PCI and improved their knowledge of the disease, performance of health behaviors, and quality of life. Further study with a wider population is needed to evaluate the effects of SP-PCI on disease recurrence and quality of life for patients after PCI.

폐쇄형 SNS의 이용 동기에 관한 연구 (The usage motivation of closed type SNS)

  • A new communication revolution such as social networking service (SNS) has been transforming the way of interaction between people in both of individual level and organizational level. Recently many people have switched to closed type SNS such as Naver Band and Kakao group due to the several reasons. The purpose of this study is to investigate the usage motivation and satisfaction of closed type SNS based on use and gratifications perspectives. Based on prior studies on use and gratifications of Internet-related media and SNS, information motivation, relationship motivation, pleasure/entertainment motivation, self-expression motivation, work motivation were identified as usage motivation of closed type SNS. According to the results, relationship motivation and work motivation were found to be significantly related to the satisfaction. But other motivation factors(information motivation, pleasure/entertainment motivation, self-expression motivation) are not significantly related to the satisfaction. Then satisfaction was found to be significantly related to the intention to use. This study contributes to give companies providing closed type SNS and using it as a marketing tool with the base of activation strategies and practical implications.

카노모델(Kano Model)을 이용한 스마트 오디오 컨셉 기능의 고객만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Customer Satisfaction for Smart Audio's Concept Features through the Kano Model)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to analyze the potential customer's satisfaction for the concepts of smart audio features and utilize the results when developing the customer-oriented products. Methods: 16 different features were derived via the market research and professionals' interviews. The most satisfactory features were selected through "Kano model", the relative importance of Customer Satisfaction Coefficient, and respondents' preferences from 339 valid survey answers. Results: 15 out of the 16 features were categorized as attractive attribute. "'User Recognizing' and 'Strengthen Linking' groups", such as Auto connection with Smart-phone music player, Synchronization of TV & Audio, and Volume control situational awareness, were shown to provide higher satisfactions to those potential customers. On the other hand, Group 'Integrating Function', such as Aromatherapy and Auto lighting reaction, was shown to be relatively least preferred features. Conclusion: This study enabled which features could lead to the customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, it still requires extensive analyses in different countries and diverse cultures to target the global market. The audio product planners and R&D professionals are expected to learn useful information from such studies.

Development of a Smart Device Utilization Education Program for Senior Citizens

  • Purpose: This study is based on the results of the National Information Society Agency's the Report on the Digital Divide in 2022. This study sought to develop digital literacy education programs for senior citizens, a digitally disadvantaged group, and to utilize smart devices to enhance their digital capabilities. Research design, data and methodology: Based on Gagné's nine events of instruction, a total of 7-session educational programs using smart devices were developed, and teaching-learning goals were set at a level that older learners can realistically perform. In preparation for the era of digital transformation, AI utilization methods are introduced and utilized in some sessions of the educational program. Results: Among a total of 7 sessions of the educational program, 5 sessions using KakaoTalk and Naver App, and 2 sessions using other apps were developed. There are a total of three sessions using AI. Conclusions: This study presented a digital literacy education program that combined AI, addressing the insufficiency of AI-based education programs targeting senior citizens. It is expected that this educational program will be able to improve the digital literacy skills and provide a basis for fulfilling their responsibilities as digital citizens by suggesting a direction for AI utilization education for senior citizens.

The combined use of anti-peptic agents is associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fracture: a nationwide case-control study

  • Background/Aims: Long-term use of acid suppressants such as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and histamine 2 receptor antagonist (H2RA) has been associated with the risk of osteoporotic fracture. Acid suppressants and muco-protective agents (MPAs) are often used together as anti-ulcer agents. We evaluated the association between the risk of osteoporotic fracture and the combined use of these anti-peptic agents. Methods: A population-based case-control study was conducted by analyzing the Korean National Health Insurance Data from 2014 to 2020. Patients who had been prescribed anti-peptic agents, such as PPI, H2RA, or MPA, were included. Considering the incidence of osteoporotic fractures, the case group (n = 14,704) and control group (n = 58,816) were classified by 1:4 matching based on age and sex. Results: The use of all types of anti-peptic agents was associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fractures (PPI: hazard ratio [HR], 1.31; H2RA: HR, 1.44; and MPA: HR, 1.33; all p < 0.001). Compared to PPI alone, the combined use of "PPI and H2RA" (HR, 1.58; p = 0.010) as well as "PPI, H2RA, and MPA" (HR, 1.71; p = 0.001) was associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fracture. However, compared with PPI alone, "MPA and PPI or H2RA" was not associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fracture. Conclusions: This study found that the combined use of "PPI and H2RA" was associated with a higher risk of osteoporotic fractures. In cases where deemed necessary, the physicians may initially consider prescribing the combination use of MPA.

개인정보 취급방침의 인지가 개인정보보호 행동에 미치는 영향: 카카오톡 이용자를 중심으로 (The Experimental Research of Protection Behavior depends on Privacy Concern about Personal Information Protection on Privacy Policy for KakaoTalk Users)

  • 대부분의 웹 사이트에서는 법을 준수하기 위해 정보주체의 개인정보 수집에 동의를 구하는 이용약관이나 개인정보 취급방침(이하 '취급방침')을 마련하고 있다. 국내 온라인 및 모바일 서비스에서 이용자로부터 수집하는 개인정보의 항목을 명시하고자 마련한 취급방침을 대부분의 이용자는 읽지도 않고 그냥 넘기는 등 이용자 관점에서 인지하지 못하는 경우가 많다. 보다 구체적으로 취급방침을 확인했을 때 이용자가 제공하는 개인정보의 인지 및 서비스 이용에 어떤 영향이 있는지를 살펴보고자 카카오톡 이용자를 중심으로 실험하였다. 332명의 실험 참여 인원을 구성해 취급방침에 대해 기존 행동을 유지하는 그룹과 Display를 확인하여 내용을 인지하는 그룹을 구성해 개인 프라이버시 민감도의 차이를 고려하여 개인정보보호 행동의 차이를 분석하여 시사한다. 본 연구에서는 민감군과 무관심군으로 나누었을 때 취급방침 인지로 나타나는 보호행동을 제시하고 서비스 제공자의 정책 실현을 위한 가이드라인을 제시한 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

사회 관계망 서비스(SNS)에서 탈억제 효과로 인한 부정적 행위의 실태 및 예방 대책 (Status and Prevention of Negative Behavior due to Disinhibition Effect in SNS(Social Network Service))

  • 사회 관계망 서비스(SNS) 이용자가 전 세계적으로 증가하는 추세 속에서 카카오스토리, 페이스북이나 인스타그램 등과 같은 SNS 공간에서 타인의 인격과 명예를 훼손하고 사생활을 침해하는 'SNS 저격' 피해자가 속출하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 환경에서 다양한 SNS를 가장 많이 이용하고 있는 대학생들을 대상으로 탈억제 효과로 인한 부정적 행위에 대한 인식을 조사하여 분석하고, SNS 저격의 피해자와 가해자를 줄이기 위한 예방 대책을 고찰하였다. 대학생들의 SNS 공간에서 타인의 인격과 명예훼손, 사생활 침해에 대한 인식이 매우 낮고, SNS 저격에 대한 죄의식도 매우 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 제안한 예방 대책을 통해 SNS 시대에 걸맞은 인식과 규범을 갖춤으로써 탈억제 효과로 인한 부정적 행위의 예방이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Z세대의 모바일 핀테크 서비스 사용자 경험 연구 -카카오페이와 토스를 중심으로- (A study on the user experience of mobile Fintech service in Z generation -Focused on KakaoPay and Toss-)

  • 본 연구는 Z세대의 모바일 핀테크 서비스 사용자 경험 연구이다. 과거 금융은 사용자가 어렵다고 느껴지는 산업 중 하나였다. 하지만, 디지털 환경에서 자란 Z세대들은 모바일 결제를 편안하게 느낀다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 국내 핀테크 서비스인 카카오페이와 토스로 국한하고 연구하여 향후 국내 핀테크 서비스의 지향점을 제시하는 것에 목적을 둔다. 총 8명의 Z세대 피실험자들에게 FGI(표적집단면접법)을 하였고, 부가적으로 설문지 조사를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 Z세대들은 경제적인 측면 이외에도 기업 브랜드나 이미지, 캐릭터, 이벤트와 같은 다양한 요인에 큰 영향을 받고 있었다. 또한, 신뢰성과 가치성 분야를 가장 고려하는 것으로 나타나 보안을 유지하기 위한 전략이 필요하다. 향후, 앞으로의 소비 주도를 이끌 Z세대들의 니즈를 반영한 핀테크 서비스의 발전을 기대한다.

소비자의 과시적 소비성향과 인상관리 수준에 따른 쾌락재와 실용재의 선택: 카카오톡 선물하기를 중심으로 (The effects of propensity of conspicuous consumption and impression management on consumer choice between hedonic and utilitarian goods: Focusing on Kakao Talk mobile gift-giving)

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 과시적 소비성향과 인상관리 수준이 모바일 선물하기에서 쾌락재와 실용재 간의 선택에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인함으로써 모바일 메신저 선물하기에서 제품 마케팅에 대한 전략적 제안을 제시하고자 하였다. 온라인 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하고 SPSS 23.0을 이용하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 과시적 소비성향이 높은 사람들은 인상관리 수준에 관계없이 모바일 선물에서 실용재보다 쾌락재를 더 많이 선택하였다. 한편 과시적 소비를 하지 않는 사람들은 인상관리 수준이 낮을 때에는 모바일 선물에서 쾌락재보다 실용재를 더 선택한 반면 인상관리 수준이 높을 때에는 실용재와 쾌락재 간 선택에 차이가 없었다. 모바일 선물 제품, 특히 쾌락재 마케팅에서 소비자의 과시적 소비성향과 인상관리를 고려한 전략을 이용하는 것은 도움이 될 것이다. 광고는 소비자의 인정 욕구나 과시 욕구를 이용하여 소구할 수 있다. 나아가, 연령대를 확장하고 선물행동에 영향을 미치는 다른 요소들을 고려하여 추후 연구를 진행할 수 있다.
