While many telecommunications services have successfully benefited consumers, companies, and national economy. there have been more cases for telecommunications service failures. In this paper, based on the survey or 60 telecommuiucations service cases in Korea, determinants or telecommunications service performance are identified and managerial implications are derived Understanding factors contributing to the performance would provide meaningful insights into how to improve the new telecommunications service development.

최근 미래 컴퓨터 기술에 대한 연구로서, 인터페이스 부분에 초점을 맞춘 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 현재 웨어러블 컴퓨터(Wearable Computer), 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(ubiquitous Computing), 가상현실(Virtual Reality), 멀티모달 인터페이스 기술 등 다양한 인터페이스 기술이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 폰 카메라를 이용해 손가락 움직임을 인식하는 알고리즘으로 KTF v1.1 Emulator 를 이용하여 모바일 게임을 위한 멀티모달 인터페이스로 적용 가능성을 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 KT 인프라연구소에서 개발한 PMIPv4 기반 WiBro-HSDPA 이종망간 Seamless 핸드오버 기술을 소개한다. 개발된 핸드오버 기술은 WiBro-HSDPA 이종망간 Context 정보전달에 의한 빠른 핸드오버 절차와 네트워크 계층에서의 소프트핸드오버 기술을 접목하여 이종망간 핸드오버 시 패킷 손실이 없도록 설계 및 구현하으며, 상용 WCDMA/HSDPA와 WiBro 시스템으로 구성도니 KT-KTF 연동 테스트베드를 이용하여 검증하였다.

이동통신 3사(SKT, KTF, LGT)의 음성통화 및 무선데이터 서비스에 대한 품질평가 결과 대체적으로 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 정보통신서비스 품질평가협의회는 지난 4월부터 7월까지 측정한 이동통신 3사의 음성통화 및 무선데이터 서비스에 대한 평가결과를 지난달 13일 공개했다. 품질평가협의회에서는 사업자간 품질개선을 유도하고 순위비교를 통한 광고경쟁 등 부작용을 줄이기 위해 과거의 5단계 평가(수, 우, 미, 양, 가)방법을 '양호'와 '미흡'의 2단계로 조정해 평가했다.

K모바일이 주최하고 정보통신부 등이 후원한‘제8회 코리아 모바일 그랜드 컨퍼런스’가 지난달 11일과 12일 이틀간에 걸쳐 약 700여명의 업계 관계자가 참석한 가운데 성황리에 개최됐다‘. 2004 모바일 난세(亂世), 新수익모델을 창출하라!’는 주제로 한국과학기술회관 국제회의장에서 개최된 이번 컨퍼런스에서는 SK텔레콤, KTF, LG텔레콤 등 이동통신 3사를 비롯해 모바일콘텐츠 업체와 포털업체 관계자들이 차례로 나와 최근 모바일 시장의 흐름과 자사의 전략에 대해 발표했다. 특히 이번 컨퍼런스에서는 모바일 관련 정책 및 서비스, 플랫폼, 단말기 등 산업 전 분야에 대한 발표와 토론이 이뤄져 모바일 산업의 흐름을 한 눈에 살펴볼 수있는 자리였다는 점에서 의미를 가진다

본 연구는 스폰서십광고와 매복광고의 커뮤니케이션 효과를 살펴보기 위해 월드컵 캠페인 기간 이동통신사의 TV광고를 비교하였다. 커뮤니케이션 효과를 검증하기 위해 KTF와 SKT의 2006년 광고에 대해 실증연구를 실행하였다. 연구결과 스폰서십광고와 매복광고에 대한 광고태도에는 차이가 없었고, 브랜드 태도에서는 매복광고가 높게 나타났다. 자유회상에서는 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 매복광고에 대해 스폰서십 여부에 대한 오인지율이 더 높게 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 스폰서십광고와 매복광고는 장기적인 관점에서 커뮤니케이션 전략을 유지하여 실행되어져야 한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 스포츠 이벤트에 있어서 기업의 커뮤니케이션 전략이 캠페인을 중심으로 실행되어져함을 의미한다. 본 연구의 결과가 스폰서십 이론의 발전에 기여하고, 광고전문가들에게 캠페인 전략에 대한 실무적 함의를 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

A heterogeneous thorium-based Kyung Hee Thorium Fuel (KTF) assembly design was assessed for application in the APR-1400 to study the feasibility of using thorium fuel in a conventional pressurized water reactor (PWR). Thermal hydraulic safety was examined for the thorium-based APR-1400 core, focusing on the Departure from Nucleate Boiling Ratio (DNBR) and Large Break Loss of Coolant Accident (LBLOCA) analysis. To satisfy the minimum DNBR (MDNBR) safety limit condition, MDNBR>1.3, a new grid design was adopted, that enabled grids in the seed and blanket assemblies to have different loss coefficients to the coolant flow. The fuel radius of the blanket was enlarged to increase the mass flow rate in the seed channel. Under transient conditions, the MDNBR values for the Beginning of Cycle (BOC), Middle of Cycle (MOC), and End of Cycle (EOC) were 1.367, 1.465, and 1.554, respectively, despite the high power tilt across the seed and blanket. Anticipated transient for the DNBR analysis were simulated at conditions of $112\%$ over-power, $95\%$ flow rate, and $2^{\circ}C$ higher inlet temperature. The maximum peak cladding temperature (PCT) was 1,173K for the severe accident condition of the LBLOCA, while the limit condition was 1,477K. The proliferation resistance potential of the thorium-based core was found to be much higher than that of the conventional $UO_2$ fuel core, $25\%$ larger in Bare Critical Mass (BCM), $60\%$ larger in Spontaneous Neutron Source (SNS), and $155\%$ larger in Thermal Generation (TG) rate; however, the radio-toxicity of the spent fuel was higher than that of $UO_2$ fuel, making it more environmentally unfriendly due to its high burnup rate.

In this paper, optimal parameters of a hopping pilot beacon are analyzed in a CDMA mobile cellular network. The hopping pilot beacon is used for inter-frequency handoff. It can reduce the number of pilot beacons needed for the inter-frequency handoff by transmitting neighbor frequency pilots periodically through a pilot beacon. The optimal parameters for transmission time and period of the hopping pilot bacon are derived by mathematical approach. It is highly recommended that the optimal values for the hopping pilot beacon under various operation environments.

The mobile telecommunication service industry plays major role of the realization to the perfect information society in the 21st century and has a great influence in society and culture. The government has enticed the mobile company to keep up to make the mobile service fee low. In this situation, this paper estimates consumer surplus and price elasticity with on-line survey data from the consumer of mobile service. The total estimated consumer surplus of the market is reached to 6.43trillion won. The consumer surplus from SKT is estimated to 4.98trillion won and 1.66trillion won and 0.67trillion won was made by KTF and LGT respectively. The result also shows that consumer surplus is expected to be increased by the increase of the mobile service demand and the sales.
