The homology among the genes coding for degradation of bipheny(BP) and 4-chlorobiphenyl(4CB) was comparatively analyzed by Southern hybridization in several BP/4CB degrading bacterial strains. As the hybridization results of their genomic DNAs with pcbABCD as the DNA probe, the group of Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12. P08 and P27 strain was separated by the group of P20 and P1242 strains. The P. pseudoalcaligenes KF707 showed the hybidization signal which was homologous to the group of DJ-12, but they had different restriction endonuclease sites. The pcbAB genes in pCUl recombinant plasmid from Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 appeared to be homologous to pchAB genes in pKTF20 cloned from P. pseudoalcaligenes KF707, but the C genes in both strains were not homologous. The bphABC in pKTF20 showed the signals homologous to the cbp ACB in pAW6194 cloned from P. putida OU83, but homologous signal was not found botween the pcbABCD genes in pCUl and the cbpADCB genes in pAW6194 recombbinant plasmid.

In these days mobile handsets have come to be used at almost every user. The mobility of mobile devices and the performance improvement of the mobile networks have made this trend possible. As a great variety of mobile applications are published, the necessity of running large-scale mobile applications becomes greater than before. To accomplish this, the existing researchers have developed mobile cluster computing libraries like Mobile-JPVM. In this paper, we implement a compute-intensive Animated GIF generating application and its cell phone viewer software using Mobile-JPVM library. We find out by the real execution of our softwares on the KTF handsets that they can sufficiently run on cellular phones. Our Animated GIF generator and its viewer are going to be commercially used for the mobile fashion advertisement systems.

This paper introduces the testbed configuration for telematics wireless communications using terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB) network. The testbed for telematics wireless communications is consisted of indoor laboratory testbed and outdoor field testbed. As a result of research, are derived testbed configurations for individual function verification at the indoor laboratory and performance test at the outdoor test road. In addition, a return channel configuration is described for interactive protocol as necessary for telematics services using T-DMB.

Video telephony is a representative service in 3G mobile network. And there have been efforts to improve quality of video telephony service in different fields. In Korea, the leading mobile service provider SKTelecom and KTF service the WCDMA network as 3G mobile network. Now, more than a million people is using the network. In this paper, we study about video telephony over WCDMA network. and propose error minimizing algorithm using cross-layer adaptation between physical layer and video codec. We simulated 3G-324M protocol with MPEG-4 video codec, and simulation results show suggested algorithm improve packet transmission rate for improving quality of video telephony service.

Recently, as the range of mobile communication services is extended, the interference between adjacent base-stations is increased. Nowdays, one of the important factors causing interference is IMD (Inter-Modulation Distortion) problems. Not only active IMD but also passive IMD effects must be considered to design a CDMA system. In this study, we design and implement 7/16" DIN connectors which have a various intensity of surface illumination, thickness and quality of plating material to analyze the effects of PIMD. And propose the methods for improving the PIMD characteristics: First, it is more profitable to use the metal which has good intensity of surface illumination where most of all electric currents passes through it. Secondly, we should plate metals more than $5{\mu}m$ for RF energy enough to propagate in a medium. Thirdly, it is necessary to select a metal having high conductivity and specific heat to protect the aging phenomenon of plate material. And it is required to develop a new plating material to replace the current materials, such as the alloy of three components for cost reduction. We have to know that the plate which has intensity of surface illumination 6 S and the thickness of plating material $5{\mu}m$ satisfy the domestic PIMD specification (KTF) -150 dBc, regardless of the plate material in case of 7/16" DIN connector.

지난해 국내 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 본격적인 육성을 위해 출범한 한국디지털콘텐츠미래포럼(이하 미래포럼)의 정기총회가 지난달 16일 서울 르네상스호텔 3층 다이아몬드룸에서 개최됐다. 이번 정기총회에는 미래포럼의 남중수(KTF 사장) 의장을 비롯해 정보통신부 최준영 정보통신정책국장, 김하진(한림대학교 교수) 명예회원, 오해석(경원대학교 부총장) 부의장 등을 포함, 국내 디지털콘텐츠 분야 대표기업의 수장들이 대거 참석해 DC분야 국내 최고 단체로서의 면모를 과시했다는 평가를 받았다. 이번 총회의 이모저모를 살펴봤다.

디지털뉴미디어포럼이 부산광역시, 유비쿼터스 누리사업단과 공동으로 주최하는‘유비쿼터스시대 디지털뉴미디어와 디지털콘텐츠’가 지난달 14일 부산 벡스코에서 열렸다. 이 날 컨퍼런스에선 서병문 한국문화콘텐츠진흥원 원장과 안종배 한세대 미디어영상학부 교수가 각각‘유비쿼터스시대 디지털콘텐츠의 변화와 활성화 정책’과 ‘유비쿼터스 미디어와 방송콘텐츠의 변화와 활성화 정책’을 주제로 기조강연하고 이시혁 티유미디어, 조한신 KTF 상무, 한창완 세종대 애니메이션학과 교수 등이 유비쿼터스시대 콘텐츠 정책 등에 대해 발표했다. 포럼은 컨퍼런스에서 제안된 발제와 토론 결과를 디지털뉴미디어포럼 소속 국회의원들의 정책 제언과 입법 활동에 반영할 계획이다.

요즘 출시되는 거의 대부분 휴대폰에 소형 디지털카메라가 기본 내장되면서 국내 휴대폰 시장 싸움의 초점이 이제 카메라에서 MP3플레이어로 옮겨가고 있다. 올해 1,500만대로 예상되는 국내 휴대폰 시장에서 MP3플레이어 기능이 내장된 뮤직폰은 약 70%를 차지할 것으로 전망된다. 이러한 분위기를 더욱 고조시키는 것은 SK텔레콤과 KTF, LG텔레콤이‘멜론’과‘도시락’,‘뮤직온’등 음악서비스를 강화하기 때문이다. 이번호에서는 이동통신 3사의 모바일 음악 서비스에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

모바일게임 회사에는 늘 게임 유저들에게 많은 전화가 온다. 그 전화들 중 게임이 재미있다는 칭찬의 전화가 가장 큰 행복을 줄 것이다. 그 렇다면 제일 곤란한 전화는 어떤 것일까? 바로 내 게임이랑 친구 게임이 이름은 같은데 내용이 다르다며 거칠게 항의를 해 올 때이다. 실제 로 같은 게임이 사용하는 휴대 전화에 따라 내용이 다를 수 있을까? 많은 게임 개발 회사들이 SK텔레콤, KTF, LG텔레콤 등 이동 통신 회 사에 동시에 같은 이름의 게임을 서비스한다. 하지만 같은 이름의 게임이 가입된 이동 통신사에 따라 내용이 모두 다르다는 것은 사실이다. 따라서 앞에서 말한 내용의 항의 전화가 오면 반박조차 할 수 없다.
