a-Ketol linolenic acid [KODA, 9,10-ketol-octadecadienoic acid, or 9-hydroxy-10 -oxo-12(Z), 15(Z)-octadecadienoic acid] was found as a stress-induced factor in Lemna paucicostata. KODA reacts with catecholamines to generate many products that strongly induce flowering in L. paucicostata, although KODA itself was inactive. KODA contains an asymmetric carbon at the 9-position in the molecule; the 9-hydroxyl group is predominantly 9R, with an enantiomeric excess of 40% (70% 9R and 30% 9S). We analyzed two major products of the reaction between KODA and norepinephrine, named FN1 and FN2. FN1 was identified as a tricyclic a-ketol fatty acid, 9(R)-11-{(2'R,8’R,10'S,11'S)-2',8'-dihydroxy-7'-oxo-11'-[(Z)-2-pentenyl]-9'-oxa-4'-azatricyclo[6.3.1.01.5]dodec-5'en-10'-yl}-9-hydroxy-10-oxoundecanoic acid. FN2 was the C-9 epimer of FN1. FN1 was derived from 9R-type KODA and FN2 from 9S-type. FN1 showed strong flower-inducing activity, but FN2 was inactive. Pharbitis nil (violet) is a typical short-day plant; flowering can be induced by exposing a seedling cultivated under continuous light to a single 16-h dark period. We analyzed endogenous KODA levels and showed that they were closely related to flower induction: KODA sharply increased in the later part of a 16-h dark period, on the other hand, it failed to increase in the night-break experiment. In addition to it, KODA increased transiently in immature flower buds in all the plants we examined, including P. nil. No such increase of KODA was seen in foliar buds of P. nil. When KODA was sprayed on seedlings of Pharbitis, flower induction was promoted only by the (R)-form of KODA. We also found that KODA enhances flowering in garden plants such as carnations and impatienses. These phenomena indicate that KODA may be involved in flowering formationg of plants and it is potentially useful for a regulating agent for commercial plant flowering.

국내에서 가축분뇨 폐기물의 해양배출에 관한 현황 및 정부와 업계의 입장을 살펴보고, 정부(해양수산부 및 농림부)와 업계(대한양돈업협회 및 해양배출협회) 간의 갈등을 해결하는 대책을 검토하였다. 갈등해결을 위한 대책으로서 첫째, 가축분뇨 전량 육상처리의 가능성에 대한 사전 검토, 둘째, 가축분뇨 육상처리에 따른 민원해결방안의 강구, 셋째, 법제화된 규칙의 시행 가능성에 대한 사전검토, 넷째, 양돈업계나 해양배출업계와 같은 관련 업계를 위한 지원 방안의 강구, 다섯째, 국가차원의 폐기물해양배출제도 전면 재검토 등이 제시되었다.

It is known that AC electric field to drive IPS mode of liquid crystal display (LCD) causes reduction of the contrast after long period of display operation. Our results are presented in this paper on a base of a model of interaction between surface of PI alignment film and LC molecules. We conclude that the surface viscosity of PI alignment film is one of the most important factors for the contrast reduction phenomenon.

In this paper, we examine the fundamental performance of image coding schemes based on multipulse model. First, we introduce several kinds of pulse search methods (i.e., correlation method, pulse overlap search method and pulse amplitude optimization method) for the model. These pulse search methods are derived from auto-correlation function of impulse responses and cross-correlation function between host signals and impulse responses. Next, we explain the basic procedure of multipulse image coding scheme, which uses the above pulse search methods in order to encode the high frequency component of an original image. Finally, by means of computer simulation for some test images, we examine the PSNR(Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and computational complexity of these methods.

In the present study, we propose Monte Carlo simulation that takes into consideration the interface phenomena between liquid crystal and substrate. We use rigid model molecules of liquid crystal and substrate. Interface is generated using potential field that induces decomposition of molecules. We use hard spherocylinders as model liquid crystal molecules. Substrate is modeled as region composed of shorter spherocylinders. Our results show that there is a case in which nematic order is reinforced in the vicinity of rubbed substrate.

최근 웹 표준의 준수와 웹 접근성 향상을 위한 노력이 기업체에서 뿐만 아니라 공공기관 등에서도 확산되고 있으며, 필수 요소로 자리매김하고 있는 추세이다. 인터넷을 사용하는 환경은 개인용 컴퓨터의 윈도우 기반에서 인터넷을 사용하는 환경과 시대에서 벗어나고 있다. 학생들의 인터넷 사용 환경도 핸드폰, PDA 등의 모바일 기기를 이용한 다양한 플랫폼으로 확산되고 있는 실정이며, 이에 따라 교육용 홈 페이지에서도 웹 접근성 향상을 위한 노력이 필요한 때이다. 이 논문에서는 한국형 웹 콘텐츠 접근성 지침에 대하여 알아보고, 일선 학교에서 운영하는 교육용 홈 페이지에서 웹 접근성 향상을 위한 방법으로 웹 콘텐츠 접근성 지침에 따른 평가 방법을 도입하는 방안을 제안한다.
