국내 자동차관리법 시행규칙상 제원통보 규정의 효율성 제고를 위한 정비방안 연구 (A Research on Efficient Legislation of the Enforcement Regulation of Management Law of Vehicles focused on Notice Procedure of Specification)

  • Korea is the only country in the world where the regulation of vehicle homologation has been changed from "Type Approval" to "Self-Certification". But there are some regulations that have not been fully changed, so they became double-regulations. In this research, we find out double-regulations in Self-Certification systems focused on "Specification Notice Procedure", and suggest a proposal of amendment to avoid duplication. Through the research, we can reduce unnecessary requirements about homologation, management of vehicle and administrative procedure significantly.

이륜자동차의 전자파 적합성과 안전기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on Electromagnetic Compatibility and Safety Standards for Motorcycles)

  • Nowadays many two-wheeled motorcycles are used in leisure and express delivery industries. But studies of the electromagentic compatibility on motorcycles have seldom been performed and published. This paper has studied the electromagnetic safety of motorcycles considering international and domestic regulations and standards. Also, a series of experiments have been performed to evaluate the level of electromagnetic compatibility of commercially available motorcycles. As a result, detailed experimental procedures are proposed to secure the electromagnetic safety and can be used to confirm or revise the Korea Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

뒷좌석 승객 보호를 위한 안전띠의 기하학적 특성에 대한 연구 (A study of rear seat belts geometric characteristics for rear seated occupants protections)

  • The protection of frontal seat passengers in both driver and front seated occupant has been more focused from the auto industries as well as regulatory bodies more than 40 years. Recently, their interests have been extended to rear seat occupants especially children and female occupants. However, the current available safety devices for the rear seat occupants are seat belt only. According to the previous researchers, the injury level of the rear seat passengers tend to be higher than the injury level of the frontal seat passengers. In this study, the optimal location of seat belts anchorages to enhance rear passengers crashworthiness are studied. FEM models are designed in accordance with regulation of KMVSS102, UN R44, UN R16, and UN R14. and three point belts are fitted on the HybridIII 5th percentile dummy and HybridIII 50th percentile dummy. The combined injury value used HIC15, Nij, Chest deflection, Femur force are used to evaluate rear seat belt anchorage optimal locations.

EURONCAP 신 상부다리 평가 시험방법의 실험적 고찰 (An Experimental Study on New EURONCAP Upper Leg Test Assessment)

  • In 2014, there were approximately 4,762 fatalities on Korean roads. The fatality rate has decreased by 6.5 %, as compared to that of the previous year. The pedestrian-vehicle fatalities (1,795) have also decreased by 6 % over the previous year. However, the percentage of the pedestrian fatalities has increased from 37.9 % to 38.7 % during the same period. This is why further research is required, even though the KNCAP pedestrian safety assessment and KMVSS for pedestrian protection currently exist. This paper studied the Upper Legform to Bonnet Leading Edge Test at the front of the vehicles, which has not been introduced yet in Korea. The test method and procedure of the new BLE test in the Euro NCAP test protocol have been reviewed, and the physical tests on SUV and sedan with different bonnet leading edge heights have also been conducted and reviewed. In addition, the test results and characteristics have been analyzed via comparison with the former BLE test and each vehicle type.
