Coital exanthema of Thoroughbred horses had occurred firstly in Republic of Korea. This study was performed to evaluate clinical features of coital exanthema, and provide veterinary knowledge to equine practitioner as well as horse farms. The method was clinical, clinical pathology and sexual hormone, electron microscope and libido examination. Five stallions of 27, 45 broodmares of 416 showed clinical symptoms but 124 foals and a teaser did not show any abnormal appearance. Five stallion had papule, pustule, crust around a glans, body of penis, prepuce and remain decolorized spot after treatment. One laceration of glans and 3 gait disorder had been observed but it did not affect libido. Forty-five broodmares localized had papule, pustule, crust, and ulceration around perineal region, vulva, mucocutaneous junction remain decolorized spot after treatment.

This paper reports the impeller performance of centrifugal pump, modified HES65-250. Developed CFD code uses SIMPLE algorithm, power-law scheme, standard $k-{\espilon}$ turbulence model in curvilinear coordinate system. The calculations are conducted for 5 cases, from 0.6 to 1.4 of flow rate ratio with 0.2 increment. The flow characteristics inside of impeller are analysed. The results show that reversal flows exist at the inlet of impeller which have small rotary stagnation pressure. The obtained results are compared with the experimental data at impeller exit and shows good qualitative agreement.

교수학습 성과지표의 측정을 위해서 봉 연구 통해 개발한 도구를 기관이나 개인의 교수학습 상황 진단에 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 교수 학습의 측정지표를 개발하고 이를 활용하고자 하는 목적은 사회변화에 부합되는 교수학습을 통해 교수학습의 질적 제고를 꾀하고 고객만족을 통해 대학의 위상을 제고하기 위함이다. 측정결과는 대학의 교수학습의 성과를 시대변화에 부합되도록 업그레이드시키고, 교수학습의 동기부여 차원에서 측정결과가 우수한 교수를 발굴하여 적절한 보상을 하여 창의적 교수법이 확산될 수 있도록 유도할 수도 있을 것이다. 이울러 구성원의 업적평가에 반영할 수도 있을 것이다.

We have developed a current range extension method to obtain the ratio error and phase displacement of a current transformer (CT) by using absolute evaluation method and two different CTs. The method was applied to CTs under test with the current ratios of the range of 5,000 A / 1 A - 20,000 A / 1 A. The ratio error and phase displacement of the CT under test obtained in this study are consistent with those measured at the national institute in Germany using the same CT under test within an expanded uncertainty (k = 2) in the overall current ratios.

This paper proposes a method for determining the number of storage rooms and designing the storage layout in warehouses for pyramid type stacks whose example are slacks for steel coils, paper rolls, and drums for oils. Formulas are derived for estimating the expected values and the variances of various handling times by cranes. From the derived formulas, the expected queuing time of road trucks is estimated. Base on the derived formulas, this study derives the cost function for determining the optimal numbers of rows, bays, and tiers of stacks and sizing cranes under the condition that the requirement for storage space is satisfied. Results of numerical analysis are provided.

This paper describes an experimental study of pattern recognition of partial discharge for three different discharge sources by using neural network(NN) system. The NN system is three layer feedforward connections and its learning method is a backpropagation algorithm incorporating an external teacher signal. Input information for NN is a statistical parameters of a discharge magnitude and the number of pulse count. After learning three typical input patterns, NN system offers good discrimination between different defects.

Automatic measurement system is required since cycle time and cost of production are increased by various factors in manual systems. This paper presents a machine vision based prototype measurement system for the automotive axisymmetric shape parts which are generally measured by a manual system that is required the tolerance of the part is very small on each machined surface. This measurement system adopts a method in which optical lens is transferred along the profile of the part to minimize measurement cycle time. The main interest of this paper is a development of an optimum measurement algorithm to the outside diameter of the parts that can be applied to various combinations of hardware. The operating system used to implement the whole system is Window XP and corresponding environment.

Mountain Wells are very important water source for the most of the climbers in Seoul area. But the facilities around the wells are not modernized to prevent from contamination of microorganism and the other pollutants. We focussed our intention on the detection of some harmful chemical ingredients and contaminants. A total of 58 wells were examined according to the Standard Methods(APHA) and the following results were obtained: 1) Among the examined 58 wells, only 10 wells were adequate to the drinking water standard, 2) 7.9mg of liberated $CO_2$ was found in the Tchun-Ho-Dong Mineral Well, 3) Chemically harmful ingredients were not found, 4) The Mountain Wells were contaminated by Coliform groups as many as 18 times than rural wells.
