QUEST 2.0의 한국어 번안 및 심리측정학적 특징 (Korean Translation and Psychometric Properties of Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction Assistive Technology 2.0)

  • 본 연구는 보조공학기기(보조기구) 및 보조공학서비스 만족도 측정도구인 QUEST 2.0(Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction Assistive Technology 2.0)을 한국어로 번안 후 심리측정학적 특징을 분석하였다. 한국어 번안과정은 6단계로 진행되었다. 내적일치도는 Cronbach's ${\alpha}$를 사용하여 분석하였고 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 스피어만 순위 상관계수를 사용하였다. QUEST는 보조기구의 만족도를 알아보기 위한 8개 항목과 보조기구 서비스 영역을 알아보기 위한 4개 항목으로 구성되어 있다. 두 영역의 내적일치도는 '보조기구' 영역에서는 .88, '보조기구 서비스' 영역에서는 .93으로 나타났으며, 검사-재검사 신뢰도 검증에서 보조기구 및 보조기구 서비스의 상관계수는 각각 .64와 .66으로 유의하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 측정 결과의 안정성, 일관성, 예측가능성을 반영한다. 이 연구를 통하여 한국어로 번역된 K-QUEST 2.0은 보조공학서비스 수혜자의 만족도를 측정하는데 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

사무용 건물의 에너지 절감을 위한 요소별 성능 분석 및 디자인 전략에 관한 연구 (Study of Design Strategy to Reduce Energy Consumption in a Standard Office Building)

  • Purpose: Recently energy consumption is rapidly increasing due to continuous development of social evolution in various field. In this situation, there is a lot of effort to reduce this energy consumption in many ways, especially in building energy. Preceding studies already started to analyze the housing area such as zero energy house and passive house by researching annual building energy consumption, but to apply the results of housing to office building is insufficient since it has different consumption tendency. Method: In this study, eQuest program was used for simulation and the base model is selected among standard office building in ASHRAE 90.1. Variables are divided into passive and active factors for comparison. Result: In passive factors, glazing system showed the highest energy saving rate by 21.3% with triple low-e glass and enhancing wall u-value showed the lowest energy saving rate by 3.6% with 0.15 m2/K. In active factors, VAV system showed 30.9% energy saving rate when compared to CAV system, and heat exchanger showed 10.2% energy saving rate. For regeneration energy part, photovoltaic panel generated 10.4% of base annual energy usage.

Effects of Community-based Rehabilitation Programs on Activities of Daily Living, Quality of Life and Assistive Technology Satisfaction for Disabled Adults in South Korea

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of community-based rehabilitation (CBR) program on activities of daily livings (ADLs), quality of life and assistive technology satisfaction for disabled adults in South Korea. Fourteen community-dwelling subjects were participated in a home-based rehabilitation program which performed once a month for 2 months. The outcome measures included Modified Barthel Index (MBI) for assessing ADLs, EuroQol five-dimensions questionnaire (EQ-5D) for quality of life (QoL) and Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with assistive Technology 2.0 (QUEST 2.0) for assistive technology. Significant improvements in ADLs, quality of life and assistive technology satisfaction were observed after the program. This study indicated that community-based rehabilitation program is an effective method for improving ADLs, quality of life and assistive technology satisfaction for adults with disabilities.

뇌병변 및 지체 장애아의 보조공학기기 사용 만족도와 심리사회적 영향의 관련성 (Association between Satisfaction with Assistive Technology Devices and Psychosocial Impact among Some Mentally or Physically Disabled Children)

  • 본 연구는 장애인 보조기기 렌탈서비스를 이용하는 뇌병변 및 지체 장애아의 보조공학기기 사용 만족도와 심리사회적 영향과의 관련성을 알아보고자 수행하였다. 연구의 대상은 광주광역시와 전라남도 지역에서 2011년부터 2015년 5월까지 장애인 보조기기 렌탈서비스를 이용하고 있는 뇌병변 및 지체 장애아 120명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 통해 이용 장애아의 일반적 특성, 보조공학기기 사용실태와 만족도, 심리사회적인 영향 정도를 조사하였다. 분석방법으로 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차를 이용하여 결과를 제시하였으며, 대상자의 특성에 따른 보조공학기기 사용 만족도와 심리사회적인 영향 비교는 t-검정과 분산분석을 이용하여 알아보았고, 보조공학기기 사용 만족도와 심리사회적인 영향과의 관련성은 피어슨 상관관계 분석을 실시하여 파악하였다. 연구결과 보조 공학기기 전체 만족도 점수는 $4.08{\pm}0.66$점이었고, 하위영역인 보조기기 만족도 점수는 $4.01{\pm}0.70$점, 서비스 만족도 점수는 $4.14{\pm}0.90$이었다. 장애아의 심리사회적인 영향은 하위영역인 자기욕구 실현능력 $0.99{\pm}0.78$점, 적응력 $1.04{\pm}0.86$점, 자존감 $0.99{\pm}0.74$점이었고, 전체 점수 평균은 $1.00{\pm}0.75$점이었다. 보조공학기기 사용 만족도는 장애아의 건강상태, 주양육자의 학력과 보조공학기기 사용시간에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 장애아의 심리사회적 영향은 보조공학기기 사용시간에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 보조공학기기 사용 만족도와 심리사회적인 영향은 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다(단순상관; r=.503, p<.001 vs. 편상관; r=.440, p<0.001). 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 뇌병변 및 지체 장애인에게 보조공학기기 사용 만족도와 심리사회적인 영향과는 상관성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 향후 국내 보조공학기기의 효과적인 보급과 활성화를 위해 더 광범위한 장애유형과 서비스 영역을 대상으로 한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

Impacts of Badges and Leaderboards on Academic Performance: A Meta-Analysis

  • As technological changes continue to accelerate every day, meeting the needs of a shifting educational landscape requires leaving an exclusively "in-person" education behind. Gamified learning environments should be carefully designed in light of conflicting studies to suit students' needs. The purpose of this meta-analysis is to draw conclusive results regarding the application of the most commonly used game elements in education, i.e., badges and leaderboards, through a comprehensive analysis of their impact on academic performance in online learning. Review Manager (RevMan 5.4) was used to analyze eligible studies selected from Emerald, SAGE, ERIC, EBSCO, and ProQuest between January 2011 and January 2022. Analyzing 37 studies found that using leaderboards and badges in online education enhanced academic performance when compared to traditional learning without gamification (SMD = 0.39). The badge-only intervention showed a larger effect size (SMD = 0.33) than the leaderboard-only intervention (SMD = 0.27). Badges and leaderboards together exhibited a larger effect size (SMD = 0.48) than individual game elements (SMD = 0.40). The impact of the game elements on academic performance was greater in the humanities (SMD = 0.51) than in STEM fields (SMD = 0.32) and was greater for K-12 students (SMD = 0.63) than for college students (SMD = 0.31). This study contributes to a timely discussion of the use of badges and leaderboards in COVID-19 online learning trends and provides relevant data for designing integrations of online education and gamification models.

군대 소총사격장에서 군인들의 주야간 소음노출평가 (Daytime and Night-time Noise Exposure Assessment for Soldiers at a Military Rifle Range)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate exposure levels to K2 rifle noise at a military rifle range among soldiers in training, the left and right ears of shooters, and control managers in the day and night times. Methods: For this study, we visited military rifle ranges and measured the noise of a K2 rifle with a sound level meter (3M Quest SoundPro$^{TM}$) at four different locations with values of Peak (dB(A)) and Max (dB(A)). Results: The highest peak value of impulse noise level averaged 150.4 dB(A), ranging from 149.7 to 150.5 dB(A) at the left-ear side. Impulse noise levels in the daytime were also recorded as higher than during the night. This result was significantly different between daytime and nighttime locations, such as soldier training, right ear of shooter, and control manager (P < 0.001). Conclusion: This study confirmed that there is a need for proper management of impulse noise at military rifle ranges.

인구통계학적 특성에 따른 성인 대상별 산림치유 프로그램 선호도 분석 (The Preference Analysis of Adults on the Forest Therapy Program with regard to Demographic Characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서는 성인 대상별 산림치유 프로그램의 선호도를 분석함으로써 산림치유 프로그램의 효율적인 개발 및 운영을 위한 기초 자료를 얻고자 한다. 일반 성인 남 여 516명을 대상으로 산림치유 프로그램 37개에 관한 선호도 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 각 프로그램의 기술통계분석 및 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 많은 공변량이 확인되어, 자료를 의미있게 축약하기 위해 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 신뢰도 분석, 빈도분석, T-검정, 분산분석을 통해 인구통계학적 특성(성별, 연령, 지역, 직업)에 따른 산림치유 프로그램 선호도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 37개의 산림치유 프로그램을 축약하기 위하여 베리멕스 직각회전법을 이용한 요인분석을 실시하였다. 이를 통해, 프로그램은 7개의 프로그램군(1: 심리치료중심 프로그램, 2: 강의 상담중심 프로그램, 3: 캠핑 산림욕중심 프로그램, 4군: 식이중심 프로그램, 5: 자연 식물중심 프로그램, 6: 명상중심 프로그램, 7: 호흡 요가중심 프로그램)과 7개의 독립프로그램(1: 숲속 잠자기, 2: 비전 퀘스트, 3: 물속에 손과 발 담그기 4: 신발 신고 숲속 걷기, 5: 숲 경관 보기, 6: 등산, 7: 숲속 운동회)으로 축약되었다. 이를 중심으로 성별, 연령, 지역, 직업에 따라 산림치유 프로그램 선호도의 차이를 검증하였다. 첫째, 성별에 따라서 심리치료중심 프로그램군, 식이중심 프로그램군, 명상중심 프로그램군, 호흡 요가중심 프로그램군, 등산 프로그램에 대해서 남 여 간에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 둘째, 연령에 따라서 강의 상담중심 프로그램군, 캠핑 산림욕 중심 프로그램군, 자연 식물중심 프로그램군, 명상중심 프로그램군, 호흡 요가중심 프로그램군, 숲속 운동회 프로그램에 대하여 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지역에 따라서 심리치료 중심 프로그램군, 강의 상담중심 프로그램군, 식이중심 프로그램군, 자연 식물중심 프로그램군, 명상중심 프로그램군, 비전 퀘스트, 등산, 숲속 운동회에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 직업에 따라서 자연 식물중심 프로그램군, 명상중심 프로그램군, 비전 퀘스트, 신발 신고 숲속 걷기, 숲 경관 보기, 등산에 대하여 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이, 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 산림치유 프로그램의 선호도에 대한 다양성을 고려하여 산림치유 프로그램을 개발하여야 할 것으로 사료된다. 본 연구의 분석 결과가 성인을 대상으로 하는 산림치유 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

심미성 수복재료의 착생경향에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE STAINING TENDENCY OF ETHETIC RESTORATIVE MATERIALS)

  • The staining tendency of esthetic restorative material was very important factor for the people who are great concern about the esthetics. Most external stains were superficial and adjustable by routine prophylactic procedure. But some of these stains were remained under superficial stain. Some of these stains were accumulative on external tooth surface and it's removal alter the anatomic contour of restoration. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the staining tendency of esthetic restorative materials to staining solution. In this study two glass-ionomer cements (Fuji II Glass-Ionomer Cement and Fuji II LC Glass-Ionomer Cement) and three composite resins (Sil$\ddot{u}$x Plus, APH and P-50) were evaluated and compared. Total 8 disc-shaped specimens of each material (17mm diameter, Imm thick) were immersed in coffee staining solution. These specimens were divided into one control and 3 experimental groups according to the immersion period as follows : Control: immersed in distilled water during each testing period Group 1 : immersed in staining solution for 6 hours Group 2 : immersed in staining solution for 24 hours Group 3 : immersed in staining solution for 72 hours Staining tendency was evaluated by total color difference(${\Delta}E^*$) of specimen before and after staining by spectorcolorimeteric readings (ColorQUEST Spectrophotometer, U.SA.). The results were as follows : 1. The total color differences of each testing materials were increased with time. 2. Among the experimental groups, the Fuji II Glass Ionomer Cement showed the highest total color difference(6.803) and the Silux Plus showed the lowest total color difference(1.637). 3. In comparison of glass ionomer cements, the total color difference of chemical cured glass ionomer cements(6.803) were higher than light cured glass ionomer cements(3.891) (P<0.01). 4. In comparison of composite resins, the P-50 showed the highest total color difference and the Silux Plus showed the lowest total color difference, but there was not significant difference among composite resins(P>0.05).

아급성 뇌졸중 환자에게 무릎 신전 보조기기가 균형과 보행에 미치는 효과 및 유용성 : 사례 연구 (The effect and feasibility of knee extension assist orthosis on balance and gait in subacute stroke patients : case study)

  • Background: This study was to confirm the effect and feasibility of knee extension assist orthosis (KEAO) on balance and gait in subacute stroke patients. Design: Case study. Methods: The subjects of the study were 4 subacute stroke patients, who had an onset period of less than 6 months. The limit of stability (LOS) and berg balance scale (BBS), timed up and go test (TUG) were used to verify the dynamic balance ability, static balance ability, and gait ability pre and post and after wearing the knee extension assist orthosis (KEAO). In addition, the satisfaction survey was to confirm the feasibility of the knee extension assist orthosis (KEAO) through the to Korean quebec user evaluation of satisfaction assistive technology 2.0 (K-QUEST 2.0). Results: After the wearing on KEAO, the distance for the limit of stability decreased by mean 541.25±240.46 mm2, and the score on the berg balance scale improved by mean 5±2.71 point, and the time for the timed up and go test deceased by mean 3.75±1.71 second. The stability and durability were found to be full score, and the control, ease, effectiveness were some high score, and the size, weight, comfort were some low score in the satisfaction and feasibility. Conclusion: The knee extension assist orthosis (KEAO) produce in this study was improved the static balance ability, dynamic balance ability and gait ability of subacute stroke patients, and the satisfaction and feasibility were high in the stability, durability and effectiveness of the user.

Optimization of bioethanol production from nigerian sugarcane juice using factorial design

  • The quest to reduce the level of overdependence on fossil fuel product and to provide all required information on proven existing alternatives for renewable energy has resulted into rapid growth of research globally to identify efficient alternative renewable energy sources and the process technologies that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. The present study is aimed at production and characterization of bioethanol produced from sugarcane juice using a $2^4$ factorial design investigating the effect of four parameters (reaction temperature, time, concentration of bacteria used and amount of substrate). The optimum bioethanol yield of 19.3% was achieved at a reaction temperature of $30^{\circ}C$, time of 72 hours, yeast concentration of 2 g and 300 g concentration of substrate (sugarcane juice). The result of statistical analysis of variance shows that the concentration of yeast had the highest effect of 7.325 and % contribution of 82.72% while the substrate concentration had the lowest effect and % contribution of -0.25 and 0.096% respectively. The bioethanol produced was then characterized for some fuel properties such as flash point, specific gravity, cloud point, pour point, sulphur content, acidity, density and kinematic viscosity. The results of bioethanol characterization conform to American society for testing and materials (ASTM) standard. Hence, sugarcane juice is a good and sustainable feedstock for bioethanol production in Nigeria owing relative abundance, cheap source of supply and available land for large scale production.
