목적있는 활동과 목적없는 활동간의 내적 동기화에 관한 연구 (Intrinsic Motivation as a factor Affecting Exertion in Purposeful versus Nonpurposeful Activity)

  • This study investigated the hypothesis that purposeful activity is an intrinsic motivator. Affecting exertion during the performance of purposeful and nonpurposeful activity was studied in 30 elementary school students. The subjects acted as their own controls in the performance of other exercise. The three experimental exercises were jumping rope, defined as a nonpurposeful activity, and jumping rope with reinforcement, defined as purposeful activity I, and jumping rope with double reinforcement (food), defined as purposeful activity II. Duration and cessation of exercise were entirely controlled by the subject. The number of jumps were measured immediately after cessation of exercise and duration of exercise in seconds by observer. The results were as follows : 1. There was a significant difference in the required time of performance between purposeful and nonpurposeful jumping (p< .05). 2. There was a significant difference in the number of jumps between nonpurposeful and nonpurposeful jumping after reinforcement. (p< .05). Implications for practice and further research are discussed.

줄넘기운동과 걷기운동을 통한 소아비만관리 프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of an Overweight Control Exercise Program in Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of an overweight control exercise program on body composition and blood lipids. Method: This comparative study was conducted at an elementary school in Seoul, Korea. Pre and post body weight, BMI, PBF, and obesity degree as body composition and TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, and TG as blood lipids were tested. The aerobic exercise lasted 12 weeks from April to July, 2006. A total of 168 overweight 3rd grade to 5th grade school children attended and were divided into a walking exercise group (n=68) and a rope jumping exercise group (n=38). Data were analysed using SAS 8.12. Result: At the end of the program, the participation rate was higher in the rope jumping exercise group than in the walking exercise group. Body weight, BMI, PBF, obesity degree, TC, and LDL-C were lower than those before the program, and HDL-C was higher than before the program. Conclusion: The school-based overweight control exercise program was effective. Because of the participation rate was higher in the rope jumping exercise group than in the walking exercise group, rope jumping exercise is recommended for low grade children.

Effect of Jumping Exercise on Supporting Surface on Ankle Muscle Thickness, Proprioception and Balance in Adults with Functional Ankle Instability

  • Background: Functional ankle instability (FAI) indicating a decrease in muscle strength, proprioception, neuromuscular control, balance and postural control function. Objective: To investigate the effect of jumping exercise on the supporting surface on the ankle muscle thickness, proprioceptive sensation, and balance in adults with FAI. Design: Randomized Controlled Trial. Methods: Twenty young people with FAI were randomly assigned to the unstable supporting surface jump group (N=10) and the stable supporting surface jump group (N=10). The intervention was conducted three times a week for eight weeks, and for 30 minutes per session. Trampoline was used as an unstable support surface and the stable support surface was carried out on a regular floor. The thickness of the tibialis anterior muscle and medial gastrocnemius muscle was measured by ultrasonography, and the proprioception of dorsiflexion and plantarflexion was measured using an electrogoniometer. The dynamic balance was also measured with a balance meter. Results: The the muscle thickness of the medial gastrocnemius muscle was significantly higher in the stable supporting surface jump group than in the unstable supporting surface jump group (p<.05). Furthermore, the plantar flexion proprioception and dynamic balance were significantly improved in the unstable supporting surface jump group than in the stable supporting surface jump group in the intergroup comparison (p<.05). Conclusions: The conclusion has been reached in this study that the jumping exercise on the unstable supporting surface could be a more effective in improving FAI than the regular surface.

중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동이 여자중학생의 혈중지질과 성장호르몬에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Music Rope-jumping with Weight Loading on Middle School Girls` Blood Lipids and Growth Hormone)

  • 경남 양산시 Y여중학교 1,2학년 24명을 대상으로 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동군 8명, 음악줄넘기 운동군 8명, 대조군 8명으로 분류하여 운동전 후 혈액성분과 성장호르몬의 변화를 비교한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 중량부하 음악줄기 운동과 혈중지질의 집단별 비교에서 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동군은 WBC, RBC, 글루코스, T-C, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C 등에서 증감을 보여 유의성이 있었고(p<0.05), 음악줄넘기 운동군은 RBC, T-C, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C 등에서 증감을 보여 유의성이 있었으며(p<0.05), 대조군은 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동군과 성장호르몬의 집단별 비교에서 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동군은 성장호르몬이 증가하여 유의성이 있었고(p<0.05), 음악줄넘기 운동군도 성장호르몬이 증가하여 유의성이 있었으며(p<0.05), 대조군은 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동이 혈액성분과 성장호르몬의 변화에 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 본연구의 실험대상자수가 적었고, 12주라는 실험기간이 짧았기 때문에 이를 일반화하여 해석하는 것은 주의가 필요할 것으로 생각되지만, 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동이 자라나는 청소년들의 운동처방과 운동프로그램 작성에 참고자료로 활용 가능하리라 사려 된다. 또한 성장기 때의 중량부하 음악줄넘기 운동의 중요성을 인식시키고 학교의 체육수업 현장에서 활용될 수 있는 체계적인 교육이 따라야 할 것이다.

줄넘기와 스위스볼 운동이 취학 전 유아의 골형성 지표에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Rope Jumping and Swiss Ball Exercise on Young Children's Bone Formation Markers)

  • 취학 전 유아를 대상으로 12주간 줄넘기운동과 스위스 볼 운동을 병행한 운동 프로그램을 실시한 결과 결론은 다음과 같다. 신체조성의 변화 각 집단 내 운동 효과에 대한 신체조성의 변화에서 운동군과 대조군 모두 산장, 체중, 체지방량 및 체지방률이 모두 유의하게 증가하였다. 시기에 따른 집단 간 상호작용 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 오스테오칼신 각 집단 내 운동 효과에 대한 오스테오칼신의 변화에서 운동군은 남아, 여아 모두 유의성이 나타나지 않았고, 대조군은 여아의 경우만 유의하게 감소하였다. 시기에 따른 집단 간 상호작용효과도 나타나지 않았다. 알카리성 포스파타제 각 집단 내 운동효과에 대한 알카리성 포스파타제의 변화에서 운동군과 대조군 모두 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 시기에 따른 집단 간 상호작용효과는 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과에서 줄넘기 및 스위스 볼 운동이 취학전 유아의 시기에 따른 집단간 상호작용효과는 나타내지 못했지만 집단 내 변화에서 대조군 보다 긍정적인 변화를 나타내었으며, 알카리성 포스파타제의 변인에서 상호작용 효과가 나타나 골량의 형성기인 유아들에게 줄넘기 및 스위스 볼 운동의 적용이 발율 향상과 골 건강 증진에 긍정적인 변화를 나타내었다. 하지만 오스테오칼신 농도의 연화에는 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 따라서, 향후 운동강도와 운동기간 등을 고려한 연구가 요구된다.

고강도의 줄넘기 운동을 지속 가능하고 즐거운 경험으로 만들기 위한 에너지 자립형 스마트 줄넘기 (Self-Powered Smart Jump-Rope to Transform an Intensive Physical Activity into Electricity-Generating Fun Experience)

  • 줄넘기 운동은 간단하면서도 매우 효과적인 운동 효과를 갖고 있지만, 높은 강도의 단조로운 운동 패턴으로 인해 지속적으로 운동을 시행하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 한편 줄넘기를 할 때 수반되는 운동에너지로부터 전기에너지를 생성하는 자가발전이 가능하며, 이전 연구에서 자가발전이 가능한 에너지 자립형 줄넘기로써 그 가능성을 확인한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 에너지 자립형 줄넘기의 내부에 자체 생산된 전력으로 구동되는 초소형 임베디드 시스템을 내장하여, 줄넘기 운동 중의 가속도를 측정하고 스마트폰으로 무선 전송하도록 하였다. 스마트폰에서는 전용 앱을 통해 전송받은 가속도 데이터로부터 사용자의 점프를 감지하여 음악 줄넘기를 접목한 게임 콘텐츠와 실시간 연동할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 스마트 줄넘기 프로토타입은 사용자 테스트를 통해 줄넘기 운동의 지속적인 동기부여 방법으로써 유용함을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 축적된 운동 데이터를 기반으로 사용자에게 체계적인 피드백을 제공함으로써 줄넘기 운동의 효과를 보다 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 아울러 건전지 교체가 불필요한 에너지 자립 특성은 비용 절감과 더불어 사용성과 지속가능성 향상에도 크게 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

운동(運動)이 혈청(血淸) 지질(脂質) 및 뇨중(尿中) Creatinine과 Methylhistidine 농도(濃度)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Exercise on Serum Lipids, Urinary Creatinine and 3-Methylhistidine in Human)

  • The effect of exercise on serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentration and on urinary creatinine and 3-methylhistidine excretion was studied in eight healthy women, aged 21 to 25yr. Subjects were tested before and after a 3-day experimental period, during which 1000 times rope-jumping a day were performed. Serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels decreased significantly after exercise. Urinary excretion of creatinine and 3-methylhistidine slightly increased after exorcise.

The Short Term Effects of Ankle Strengthening Emphasis with Jumping on Strength, Mechanical Properties, and Balance with and without Wearing High Heel in Ankle Instability

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the short term effects of ASEJ (ankle strengthening with emphasis on jumping) for 3weeks on strength, mechanical properties, and balance and to compare the balance with and without HH(high-heel) condition. Methods: ASEJ (a combined exercise of squat, heel raise up, and jumping) were performed for the subjects in 11 female ankle instability young females ($21.7{\pm}2.0yrs$ Cumberland ankle instability score $19{\pm}6.5$). To investigate the effect of ASEJ, investigator used dynamometer for measuring strength, MyotonPRO for measuring mechanical properties(tone, stiffness, and elasticity of the muscles), I-Balance test for static balance, and Y-balance test for dynamic balance between the condition with and without HH condition. All data were normally distributed and analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 statistical program. Comparing pre- and post-intervention and the condition with and without HH conditions data were examined using the paired t-test. The level of significance was chosen as 0.05 for all the analyses. Results: 3wks of ASEJ would strengthen leg muscles and increasing muscle tone and stiffness in most muscles however there was decreasing muscle elasticity of gastrocnemious. In addition, the ASEJ improves the static balance for ankle instability young females and increases the dynamic balance when wearing the heels especially. Conclusions: the ASEJ could recommend to improve the strength and balance for ankle instability young females. Also, measuring the balance with HH conditions well represents the risk of ankle damage in female.

학급 집단 음악줄넘기 프로그램이 비만 아동의 신체구성, 체력, 혈중지질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Group Music Rope-jumping on Body Composition, Fitness and Serum Lipid in Obese Elementary School Boys and Girls)

  • Purpose: The study investigated the effects of 9 weeks of group music rope-jumping training on health-related physical fitness and blood lipid in obese elementary school boys and girls. Method: Subjects were randomly assigned to either a training group (37 boys and 18 girls) or control group (36 boys and 19 girls). The training group exercised for 1 hour, 2 days per week during the 9-week supervised music rope-jumping training program. The control group was asked to maintain their normal daily physical activities. The effects of the interventions on physical fitness and blood lipids were analyzed by two-way repeated measures ANOVA (group ${\times}$ time). Results: There were significant group ${\times}$ time interaction effects on body weight (p<.023), %body fat (p=.09), body mass index (p=.018), and body fat mass (p=.019) in school girls. However, there was not an interaction effect on serum lipids in both genders. Conclusion: The 9-week music rope-jumping training program used was effective for improving body composition in obese elementary school girls.

가속도 센서 기반의 건강측정 디바이스 연구 (A Study of health device using an accelerometer)

  • In this study, we have figured out exercise time and the amount of burned calories, using a three-axis acceleration sensor which we name as a health sensor. What is more, the health sensor calculates the degree of physical exercise taken during exercise. As is generally known, continuing, regular exercise is far more effective than short time exercise for sustainable health management. The health sensor is, therefore, recommended as an instrument to efficiently carry out the health management. Additionally, the health sensor was applied as an exercise subsidiary system to walking and jumping rope tests. In light of their results, the sensor system was found useful for analyzing the pattern of exercise.
