Comparing the actual heating energy with calculated energy by the amended standard building energy rating system for apartment buildings (건축물에너지효율등급 평가프로그램에 의한 공동주택 난방에너지 소요량과 실제 사용량 비교)

  • Purpose: Since September 1st, 2013, subjects of the evaluation have been expanded, and the evaluation standard has been detailed to enable Building energy rating system for all buildings. Accordingly, the new evaluation program (ECO2) has been developed, and therefore, apartment applied after September 1st, 2013 were evaluated with the new evaluation program. Therefore, this research suggests the improvement plan to figure out reasons for the evaluation result calculation and to calculate the evaluation results close to the actual energy usage by analyzing and comparing primary energy consumption as a result of the new evaluation program (ECO2) and actual heating energy usage on the same building. Method: When comparing evaluation results of the new evaluation program (ECO2) and actual heating energy usage, the tendency was similar but different. Also when comparing seasonally, the tendency was similar, but the different between actual heating energy usage and primary energy consumption during winter is greater than during spring or fall, and when comparing seasonal electric usage, heating alternatives were used through increased electrical usage during winter compared to during spring or fall. Result: Therefore, when evaluating apartment with the new program (ECO2) in the future, evaluation items relevant to the use of heating alternatives should be added, and the modification factor should be added according to the region. Based on the evaluation results of the research and actual energy usage, the Modification factors of the central part and the southern part were calculated respectively as 0.5 and 0.8.

  • This study investigated the current science teaching evaluation system implemented in schools and directions for improving teaching evaluation using literature review, survey, and teacher interview. The first part of this paper analyzed the types, roles, and major issues of the current science teaching evaluation. In-service teachers argued that the current teaching evaluation system was discredited because of the bureaucratic procedures of teacher performance review, showcase classrooms, teachers' views on classroom as their own personal space, low ratio of teaching component in the current teacher evaluation, untrained evaluators, and the absence of professional teaching standards. The second part of the paper investigated the need for a formative teaching assessment, an ideal type of teaching assessment, and the role of participants in the teaching evaluation processes. The way forward, therefore, is to start not at the level of the administrative superstructure but at the level of teachers who will assume responsibility for developing standards of practice as the basis for evaluating their own work and improving their own professional learning to provide quality assurance.

Developing a Framework for the Implementation of Evidence Collection System: Focusing on the Evaluation of Information Security Management in South Korea

  • Recently, as evaluation of information security (IS) management become more diverse and complicated, the contents and procedure of the evidence to prepare for actual assessment are rapidly increasing. As a result, the actual assessment is a burden for both evaluation agencies and institutions receiving assessments. However, most of them reflect the evaluation system used by foreign government agencies, standard organizations, and commercial companies. It is necessary to consider the evaluation system suitable for the domestic environment instead of reflecting the overseas evaluation system as it is. The purpose of this study is as follows. First, we will present the problems of the existing information security assessment system and the improvement direction of the information security assessment system through analysis of existing information security assessment system. Second, it analyzes the technical guidance for information security testing and assessment and the evaluation of information security management in the Special Publication 800-115 'Technical Guide to Information Security Testing and Assessment' of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Third, we will build a framework to implement the evidence collection system and present a system implementation method for the '6. Information System Security' of 'information security management actual condition evaluation index'. The implications of the framework development through this study are as follows. It can be expected that the security status of the enterprises will be improved by constructing the evidence collection system that can collect the collected evidence from the existing situation assessment. In addition, it is possible to systematically assess the actual status of information security through the establishment of the evidence collection system and to improve the efficiency of the evaluation. Therefore, the management system for evaluating the actual situation can reduce the work burden and improve the efficiency of evaluation.

Research on Development of Social Value Evaluation Indicators for Public Libraries (공공도서관의 사회적 가치 평가지표 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop evaluation indicators for evaluating the social value of libraries and, for this, first of all, preliminary evaluation indicators were derived by analyzing comprehensively about 60 domestic and overseas papers which researched on the value of libraries. On the basis of the derived preliminary evaluation indicators, 11 experts were selected and the final evaluation indicators were developed by conducting Delphi survey three times. The final evaluation indicators are composed of five evaluation areas, which are the divided areas of the social value of libraries, such as the development of local communities, the linkage of local communities, the improvement of local residents' life quality, the equalization of local residents, and the information services necessary for local communities, 13 evaluation items, and 64 evaluation indicators. In the future, it seems that researches to measure the social value of libraries based on this will have to be conducted.

A Literature Review for an Emotion Evaluation Protocols Based on Skin Temperature for Home Appliances (피부온을 기반으로 한 가전제품의 감성 평가 프로토콜 수립을 위한 문헌 조사)

  • This study reviews studies that used skin temperature in order to establish an emotion evaluation protocol based on skin temperature for home appliances. A survey of skin temperature evaluation papers was conducted by the following five stages: (1) keyword search, (2) title screening, (3) abstract screening, (4) full paper screening, and (5) relevance evaluation. Selected papers were reviewed for: purpose, recruitment criteria of participants, the number of participants, apparatus, procedure, measures, analysis methods, and major findings. Thermistor sensors and thermography are used for the measurement of skin temperature. Skin temperature sensors are attached to 4 - 10 locations on the body and their mean of skin temperature is calculated by Ramanatan's 4-point or Hardy & Dubois's 7-point method. Semantic differential (SD) method and thermography measuring facial surface temperature have been used for emotion evaluation. The SD method provides a set of adjective pairs related to a product and evaluates changes in emotion from the use of the product. The range of facial surface analyzed is defined in the thermal image and temperature changes before and after the evaluation are analyzed. The evaluation items of home appliances include form, color, material, aesthetics, satisfaction, novelty, convenience, pleasantness, and excellence. Many existing emotion studies using skin temperature do not apply physiological and psychological methods. This study provides basic data to establish a skin temperature and emotion evaluation protocol by examining literature for skin temperature and evaluation of sensitivity.

Development of Environmental Evaluation Indicators for Environmentally Friendly Industrial Estate (환경친화적 산업단지 조성을 위한 환경성 평가 지표개발에 관한 연구)

  • Development of index for evaluation of environmental nature and its application for the purpose of construction of industrial complex with environmentally friendly. Industrial complex comes to be recognized as a disgusting zone according to the increasing environment consciousness of residents. And the objection about the exploitation of geographically unwanted land site is increased during development process and it is possible to cause Nimby phenomenon. Therefore, ecology and environment-oriented strategies tends to be adopted for industrial complex development. Furthermore, the maximization of profit mainly directed by enterprises as of today cannot guarantee its future and the efforts of adopting environmental constancy and harmony as a new objective are made progressively. For the development of city and region, in particular such as residence complex, farming and special city, the discussion of environmental consistency, new paradigm with environmentally friendly is briskly under progress, but the relevant discussion for the development of industrial estate is not done so much. Just only few studies are realized from the viewpoint of industrial ecology but its level remains in the understanding of the concepts and presentation of development direction. This study is to prepare for the foundation of the construction of industrial estate with environmentally friendly under the current condition of Korea against coming future environment era and to try to develop of evaluation range and index which are the basis of evaluation of environment. I applied the above evaluation index to the residents of actual industrial estate to understand their consciousness of decreased environment. And I obtained 7 evaluation ranges and 37 evaluation indexes for the relevant residents. Among them, I get the value less than the average in 19 index items. And they represent very sensible reaction about environment pollution including decrease of waste materials. This study has several limits but is meaningful in that the development of evaluation index for environmental nature in industrial complex is done, and that the basic discussion of the plan and design for environmentally friendly industrial estate is made under the above evaluation and that 37 evaluation items are applied to the reality.

Recognition, Self and Objective Evaluations of Nosocomial Respiratory Infection Control Practices by ICU Nurses (중환자실 간호사의 호흡기계 병원감염관리 인지도와 실천정도 조사연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was two-fold : to describe the level of recognition of nosocomial respiratory infections by ICU nurses and to compare self evaluation and objective evaluation of nosocomial respiratory infection control practices by ICU nurses. Method: Data were collected from 78 nurses in intensive care units in one university affiliated hospital in Kyung Ki Province. Data were collected from March 4 to March 18, 2002. The recognition and self evaluation data were collected through a self report questionnaire and an objective evaluation which was done by observing the actual behavior of the nurses. Result: The results of this study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between recognition scores and self evaluation scores. However, there was no significant relationship between level of recognition and objective evaluation, nor between self evaluation and objective evaluation of infection control Practices by ICU nurses. Conclusion: ICU nurses In this study gave higher scores on self evaluation of their practice than were shown in the observation evaluation of actual practice. Moreover, in the objective evaluation the nurses had the lowest score on the item, 'washing hands before taking care of patients'. The results indicate that it is necessary to develop a standardized practice manual on nosocomial respiratory infection control in the ICU. Also, it is necessary to have a program to transfer knowledge into actual practice.

  • A Development of the Evaluation Criteria on the User's Bicycle Environment for Work and School Trip Purpose: This study suggests future improvements and some current questions about the development of the evaluation criteria on the user's bicycle environment for Work and School Trip Purpose. The direction of development on Evaluation Criteria is all about on the side of necessity of bicycle users, the reflection of new policy, the construction of total evaluation criteria, and the examination of connecting study with current study. This study establishes a Development of the Evaluation Criteria on the User's Bicycle Environment for Work and School Trip Purpose. After that, this study examines previous evaluation criterias and researchers will select the primary provision of evaluation through FGI, and they derive the final evaluation criteria throughout the verification of suitability on Evaluation Criteria. The summery of this study is like this. First, suggestions of improvements of zones in bicycles users' evaluations, Second Suggestions of the current conditions by GIS and the result of model analysis, Third Clarify of major provisions in terms of zones by using Spider Map.

  • In this paper, we described evaluation software that can propose rating scale and evaluate automatically on SDR(Software-Defined Radio) transmitter system. To deduct suitable rating scale, we extracted requirements based on the operating environment, operating application and operating method because SDR operating software is subordinative to the hardware. And we implementation evaluation software to automatically quality evaluation using rating scale draw from the requirements. The implemented evaluation software has automatically evaluation functions using script, can update the evaluation factor and show visual evaluation result. The implemented evaluation software is used to useful the high quality SDR operating software development.

Effect and Interrelationship of Evaluation System in Employee's Job Satisfaction at Deluxe Hotel Kitchen (호텔 조리종사자의 메뉴개발 직무만족도에 대한 평가시스템의 영향 및 상호관계)

  • This study investigated the effect and interrelationship of evaluation system in employee's job satisfaction at deluxe hotel kitchen in the Seoul area. The questionnaires developed for this study were distributed to 400 chefs during June to August, 2012. A total of 364 questionnaires were used for analysis (91.0%) and the statistical analysis was completed using PASW (SPSS) 18. The status of operating menu evaluation and menu development was analyzed by dividing the questionnaires into three categories: 'menu idea', 'menu evaluator' and 'menu evaluation system'. The 'menu idea' category showed the highest concern for 'Is the selected idea differentiated from competitors' menu?' (3.10 Likert scale), the 'menu evaluator' category showed the highest concern for 'Do the evaluator's individual factors affect menu evaluation?' ($3.88{\pm}0.96$), and the 'menu evaluation system' showed the highest concern for 'Is the menu commercialized by the menu evaluation system?' (3.32 Likert scale). Overall job satisfaction was studied into three categories: 'human field', 'material field' and 'evaluation field'. Overall satisfaction about one's job was 3.24 Likert scale. For satisfaction in each category, satisfaction for 'human field' was the highest with 3.30 Likert scale compared to 'material field' and 'evaluation field' with 2.76 Likert scale and 3.27 Likert scale, respectively. In conclusion, establishment of a unified evaluation system to improve employee's job satisfaction related to menu development is needed.
