다중 정보 은폐 및 실시간 추출 시스템의 광-디지털적 구현 (Opto-Digital Implementation of Multiple Information Hiding & Real-time Extraction System)

  • In this paper, a new opto-digital multiple information hiding and real-time extracting system is implemented. That is, multiple information is hidden in a cover image by using the stego keys which are generated by combined use of random sequence(RS) and Hadamard matrix(HM) and these hidden information is extracted in real-time by using a new optical correlator-based extraction system. In the experiment, 3 kinds of information, English alphabet of "N", "R", "L" having 512$\times$512 pixels, are formulated 8$\times$8 blocks and each of these information is multiplied with the corresponding stego keys having 64$\times$64 pixels one by one. And then, by adding these modulated data to a cover image of "Lena"having 512$\times$512 pixels, a stego image is finally generated. In this paper, as an extraction system, a new optical nonlinear joint transform correlator(NJTC) is introduced to extract the hidden data from a stego image in real-time, in which optical correlation between the stego image and each of the stego keys is performed and from these correlation outputs the hidden data can be asily exacted in real-time. Especially, it is found that the SNRs of the correlation outputs in the proposed optical NJTC-based extraction system has been improved to 7㏈ on average by comparison with those of the conventional JTC system under the condition of having a nonlinear parameter less than k=0.4. This good experimental results might suggest a possibility of implementation of an opto-digital multiple information hiding and real-time extracting system.

얇은 콘크리트 덧씌우기 포장의 거동 평가 (Behavior Analysis of Ultra-Thin Whitetopping in Field)

  • 국내 고속국도 및 일반국도의 약40%, 98%가 아스팔트 포장으로 구성되어 있으며 아스팔트 포장의 주요 파손 형태는 러팅(rutting) 및 균열이다. 파손이 심한 아스팔트 포장에 공용성이 좋은 것으로 알려져 있는 UTW(Ultra-Thin Whitetopping, 이하 중 신 콘)가 국내 도로의 유지보수 공법으로 적용될 수 있는가를 판단하였다. 본 논문은 경기도 폐도에 시험 시공된 중 신 콘 포장에서의 정적하중재하실험을 통하여 교통하중 및 환경하중 조건에 따른 중 신 콘의 거동 분석 결과이다. 콘크리트 두께를 50, 100, 150mm로 하여 두께에 따른 거동을 분석한 결과, 콘크리트 두께가 50mm일 때 콘크리트 하부에서 발생하는 인장 변형률이 급격하게 증가한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 계절별 실험을 통해 포장 온도가 중 신 콘 거동에 미치는 영향이 큰 것을 알 수 있었다. 하중재하위치에 따른 거동분석 결과에서는 슬래브 중앙부와 줄눈부에서 약 25cm 떨어진 지점부터 하중이 재하될 때 중앙부와 줄눈부에 영향을 미치기 시작하였고 이 때, 최대 인장 변형률의 75%까지 변형률이 발생함에 따라 줄눈간격 결정에 주의를 요해야 할 것으로 판단되었다.

SMAW 수중 다층용접시 용접부 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the effect of the multi-pass SMAW welding on the characteristic of the underwater welding areas)

  • While excellent joint quality has been obtained using dry chamber underwater welding methods, the size limitations imposed by this process restrict its use for underwater construction work. The wet underwater shielded metal-arc welding eliminates this restriction but suffers from poor weld properties by the 1-pass bead-on-plate welding due to the excessive diffusible hydrogen. On the other hand, in the wet underwater welding, it is well known that the quantity of diffusible hydrogen in multi-pass welded parts reduce to less than that in 1-pass welded parts. Therefore, in this paper, welding experiments are made the 3-pass bead-on-plate welds by using TMCP and normalized steel plates and E4301 and cellulose coated electrode. After that, The amounts of the hydrogen absorbed into the 3-pass welded area were measured according to the JIS Z 3118 specification. The microstructural changes as well as the microhardness distribution after the underwater 3-pass welding were also investigated using Vickers microhardness tester and S.E.M and O.M. The results indicated that the quantity of diffusible hydrogen in 3-pass welded areas was reduced little less than a half of one of that in 1-pass welded areas at the specific welding condition. As a result, the cold cracking of 3-pass welded areas decreased by reduced effect of diffusible hydrogen. In the underwater 3-pass welding, the micrography of cold cracking fracture surface showed mainly the cleavage of hydrogen embrittlement.

  • Energy harvesting technology, which scavenges electric power from ambient, otherwise wasted, energy sources, has been explored to develop self-powered wireless sensors and possibly eliminate the battery replacement cost for wireless sensors. Among ambient energy sources, vibration energy can be converted into electric power through a piezoelectric energy harvester. For the last decade, although tremendous advances have been made in design methodology to maximize harvestable electric power under a given vibration condition, the research in reliability assessment to ensure durability has been stagnant due to the complicated nature of the multiple failure modes of a piezoelectric energy harvester, such as the interfacial delamination, fatigue failure, and dynamic fracture. Therefore, this study presents the first-ever system reliability analysis for multiple failure modes of a piezoelectric energy harvester using the Generalized Complementary Intersection Method (GCIM), while accounts for the energy conversion performance. The GCIM enables to decompose the probabilities of high-order joint failure events into probabilities of complementary intersection events. The electromechanically-coupled analytical model is implemented based on the Kirchhoff plate theory to analyze its output performances of a piezoelectric energy harvester. Since a durable as well as efficient design of a piezoelectric energy harvester is significantly important in sustainably utilizing self-powered electronics, we believe that technical development on system reliability analysis will have an immediate and major impact on piezoelectric energy harvesting technology.

승모판막질환에 병발한 동맥색전증의 치험 1례

  • We present one case of 26-year-old male having saddle block combined with mitral valvular disease [NYHA Class IV] with auricular fibrillation. The most common cause of emboli is atrial fibrillation. The clinical manifestations of saddle emboli are relatively slow due to development of collateral circulation and large size of lumen of the aorta. The 5month duration of saddle emboli in this case led to severe atrophic changes, coldness, peripheral cyanosis on the both lower extremities, and flexion deformity on the knee and ankle joint of the left lower extremity. We planned staged operation for the saddle block and for mitral stenoinsufficiency and tricuspid insufficiency, because of poor general condition of the patient. The thromboembolectomy of aortic bifurcation was performed through the transabdominal approach without trial of Fogarthy catheter embolectomy, because of expectation of the secondary inflammatory changes of the vessel wall and thrombi which was 3 cm X 1 cm X 0.5 cm in size with irregular surfaced solid in consistency. 1 month later, after thromboembolectomy, mitral valve replacement and tricuspid annuloplasty were performed, with successful early operative result. During operation organized thrombi [1 cm X 0.5 cm] in the left auricle was removed. We wonder if simple management using Fogarthy catheter might be possible to remove the thromboemboli instead of thromboembolectomy by aortotomy in this case.

  • 본 연구에서는 가뭄의 특성분석에 유리하며, 확률론적 접근이 가능한 은닉 마코프 모델(HMM) 기반의 가뭄 분석 기법을 적용하였다. HMM 기반의 가뭄의 심도뿐만 아니라 지속시간을 동시에 평가할 수 있도록 코플라 함수 기반의 이변량 가뭄빈도해석 기법을 도입하여 우리나라의 2015년 가뭄 빈도를 평가하였다. 가뭄빈도분석 결과 최근 40년 자료를 기준으로 영동지방에 비해 영서지방이 전체적으로 가뭄이 발생할 경우 가뭄의 심도가 큰 것으로 평가되었다. 심한가뭄의 발생 비율의 경우에 철원의 경우 10%를 상회하는 등 임진강 유역에서 상대적으로 심한가뭄의 발생비율이 크다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 한강유역 일부지점에서는 2014/2015년의 가뭄 지속기간 및 심도의 결합재현기간이 1,000년이 넘는 가뭄이 발생하고 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 특히 북한강 및 임진강 유역에 심한 가뭄이 발생하고 있으며 전반적으로 100년 이상의 기왕최대가뭄을 나타내고 있는 것으로 판단되었다.

An experimental study on shear mechanical properties of clay-concrete interface with different roughness of contact surface

  • In order to understand the shear mechanical properties of the interface between clay and structure and better serve the practical engineering projects, it is critical to conduct shear tests on the clay-structure interface. In this work, the direct shear test of clay-concrete slab with different joint roughness coefficient (JRC) of the interface and different normal stress is performed in the laboratory. Our experimental results show that (1) shear strength of the interface between clay and structure is greatly affected by the change of normal stress under the same condition of JRC and shear stress of the interface gradually increases with increasing normal stress; (2) there is a critical value JRCcr in the roughness coefficient of the interface; (3) the relationship between shear strength and normal stress can be described by the Mohr Coulomb failure criterion, and the cohesion and friction angle of the interface under different roughness conditions can be calculated accordingly. We find that there also exists a critical value JRCcr for cohesion and the cohesion of the interface increases first and then decreases as JRC increases. Moreover, the friction angle of the interface fluctuates with the change of JRC and it is always smaller than the internal friction angle of clay used in this experiment; (4) the failure type of the interface of the clay-concrete slab is type I sliding failure and does not change with varying JRC when the normal stress is small enough. When the normal stress increases to a certain extent, the failure type of the interface will gradually change from shear failure to type II sliding failure with the increment of JRC.

분화성 갑상선암과 공존한 부갑상선 선종 (Coexistent Parathyroid Adenoma and Well Differentiated Thyroid Careinoma)

  • It has become evident in recent years that parathyroid adenoma and well differentiated thyroid cancer occur together more than would be expected by chance alone. However, the association between them is not well understood. We have experienced 4 cases of coexistent parathyroid adenoma and well-differentiated thyroid cancer during the past 16 years. None of them had a familial incidence or a history of radiation exposure. Three cases showed symptomatic hypercalcemia(including renal stones, bone pain, joint pain) and in two of them(patient 1 and patient 2), thyroid abnormalities were detected preoperatively by neck ultrasonography or neck CT for evaluation of parathyroid lesions. However, in patient 3, a parathyoid humor was identified and removed incidentally during the course of thyroidectomy. In 3 cases, surgeries for thyroid carcinoma and parathyroid adenoma were performed during the same exploration of the neck, but in patient 4, thyroidectomy preceded parathyroidectomy; The interval between thyroidectomy and subsequent parathyroidectomy was 11 yeras. The thyroid tumors in 3 cases were papillary carcinoma, the sizes of which ranged from 1.0 cm to 1.5 cm in greatest diameter. The remaining case(patient 4) was minimal invasive follicular carcinoma. Total or near-total thyroidectomy with various types of cervical lymphnode dissection and bilateral neck exploration for the parathyroid lesion was performed in 3 cases with papillary carcinoma. Ipsilateral lobectomy and contralateral partial thyroidectomy with consequent unilateral neck exploration for the parathyroid tumor was performed in the case of follicular cancer. In our experience, parathyroid adenoma and well-differentiated thyroid carcinomas can be coexistent and we felt that the attention to the hypercalcemic patients would be needed for detection of this rare condition.

80 MPa급 콘크리트를 활용한 이중합성 거더의 수평접합면 구조거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Structural Behavior of Interfaces of Double Composite Girder Using the 80 MPa Concrete)

  • 80 MPa급 고강도 콘크리트가 강거더의 압축 플랜지로 대체하는 아중합성 거더의 경우, 플랜지와 케이싱 및 케이싱과 바닥판 2개의 접합부 계면이 형성되는데 각 계면의 수평 전단 저항능력은 구조물의 안전성에 있어 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구는 계면 상세를 달리한 6개의 실험체를 도로교설계기준(한계상태설계법)에 따라 설계 및 제작하여 이중합성 보의 휨 파괴 대비 수평 전단에 대한 구조 성능 실험을 수행하였다. 실험체의 주요변수로 스터드 전단연결재의 저항계수, 바닥판 콘크리트 및 철근의 재료저항계수, 콘크리트 인장강도에 따른 부착계수, 케이싱 콘크리트의 표면 상태 그리고 수평전단철근의 간격을 고려하였다. 실험 결과, 강재 상부 플랜지와 고강도 케이싱의 계면이 고강도 케이싱과 바닥판 계면 보다 결합성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 고강도 케이싱과 바닥판 계면에서는 케이싱 표면에 요철 또는 거칠기를 주는 것 보다 보수적으로 수평전단철근을 배근하는 것이 소성영역까지 합성 거동을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다.

불규칙파랑의 계통적 취급수법 (Systematic Approach for Predicting Irregular Wave Transformation)

  • 현재 해안공학에 있어서 불규칙파랑을 표현하는 방법으로서 스펙트럼분석법과 파별해석법이 있다. 그 중,스펙트럼해석법은 수심이 깊고 입사파랑의 분산성이 큰 영역에, 파랑분석법은 수심이 얕고 비선형성이 강한 영역 및 석파와 같은 불연속현상을 취급할 경우에 각각적용 되어진다. 그러므로 현지 불규칙파랑장을 계통적으로 취급하기 위해서는 어느 수심영역에서 스펙트럼해석으로부터 파별분석으로 전의해야 할 것인가에 대한 연구가 필요하게 된다. 본 연구는 현지 불규칙파랑의 전파에 의한 변형을 계통적으로 취급할 수 있는 구체적인 방법을 확립하기 위해서 행한 일연의 연구로서 입사파랑의 방향분석이 없는 2차원 불규칙파에 대한 천수을 행하여 스펙트럼해석법의 적용한계, 스펙트럼에서 추정되어지는 파고, 주기의 결합확률분포, 불규칙파의 천수, 석파변형에 대한 파별분석법의 적용한계 등에 대해서 검토한 것이다.
