A survey in the form of a questionnaire was completed by 250 nurses working at three general hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggi from September 20 to October 31, 2014. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation, and linear regression analysis using the SPSS program. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the effects of the non-personality behavior of supervisors on the job exhaustion of nurses were statistically significant. Second, the effects of non-personality behavior of supervisors on the organizational effectiveness of nurses were statistically significant in job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior. Third, the effects of job exhaustion on organizational effectiveness of nurses was statistically significant for job satisfaction, job exhaustion, and organizational citizenship behavior. Because the non-personality behavior of a supervisor can have a negative effect on the exhaustion of a nurse's job and the organizational effectiveness, there should be a wide range of human resources and effective task allocations in a hospital to reduce job burnout and increase job satisfaction. In addition, it is necessary for the boss to develop desirable leadership education, appropriate modeling, and reduce their negative influence in the workplace.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify associations among the sleep disturbance, fatigue, job stress, and blood and body fluid (BBF) exposure of shift-work nurses. Methods: A total of 299 shift-work nurses from two tertiary hospitals were enrolled in this study. We used the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), and the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), and the Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Short Form (KOSS-SF) to evaluate sleep disturbance, fatigue, and job stress, respectively. The data were analyzed using t-test or chi-squared test and Logistic regression analysis using the SPSS 23.0 program. Results: We found that 43.8% of participants reported BBF exposure over the past year. Splash or exposure to broken skin of BBF were most frequent (56.9%), and followed by needlestick injuries (30.4%) and sharp injuries (12.8%). Age, hospital, working period, level of stress, sleep disturbance ($ISI{\geq}15$), fatigue (FSS $score{\geq}4$), job demand and organizational climate subset in KOSS-SF were significantly associated with BBF exposure in shift-work nurses. In multivariate analysis after adjusting age and hospital, the risk factors of BBF exposure in shift-work nurses were the level of stress and fatigue (FSS $score{\geq}4$). Conclusion: Fatigue and job stress were related to BBF exposure in shift-work nurses. Our results suggest that management of sleep disturbance, fatigue, and high job stress in shift-work nurses is needed to reduce risk of BBF exposure.

Method : We retrospectively studied 80,842 employees, who receive regular checkups in the Health Screening Center of a one hospital from May, 2012 to April, 2013. A total of 73,975 people were analyzed, who completed a short form of Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS), Center for Epidemiologic Study-Depression (CES-D) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Results : Each of the seven subscales of KOSS was categorized into 4 quartile groups. Higher quartile of KOSS was associated with higher CES-D and BAI score an individual reported. The significantly increased odds ratios (ORs) in the higher scoring group compared to the lower scoring group for the effect of job stress on depression and anxiety remained after adjusting for age, sex, marital status, education, income, BMI, and smoking status. Conclusion : These results from a large number of respondents suggested that job stress might be related to depression and anxiety. Future investigations should design a prospective study to understand a causal relationship between job stress and psychiatric symptoms or disorders.

  • Supercomputers are used for many different areas including new product design of industries as well as state-of-the-art science and technology for large amount of computational needs. Tachyon is a 4th supercomputer built at KISTI that is a high-performance parallel computing system with 3,200 computing nodes and infrastructures. This system is currently about 10,000 users and over 170 organizations are used, the number of jobs they are performing work in batch type form through a scheduler. Also, this system logs lots of job scripts, execution environment, library, job status from the job submit to end. In this paper, we analyzed batch jobs information from Sun Grid Engine, that use as a scheduler in Tachyon system, and job executed information in Tachyon System. In particular, we distinguished the fail jobs from the all tasks that users perform and we analyzed the cause of failure. Among them, we can extracted some of jobs that can be regarded as normal jobs through the improvement in those works logged as all of fail jobs.
