  • Objectives : This study was performed to develop a standard instrument of oriental medical evaluation for jing ji and zheng chong. Methods : The advisor committee on this study was organized by 17 neuropsychiatry professors of oriental medical colleges. The items and structure of the instrument were quoted from the instrument of pattern identification for jing ji and zheng chong. We took consultation twice from the advisor committee and we also took additional advices by e-mail. Results : We discriminated between bian-zheng and su-zheng from the answers of the advisor committee. We got the mean weight of each symptom and sign from the answers of the advisor committee. We got the final weight from the combination of the ratio of bian-zheng to the number of all answers of the advisor committee and mean weight. Conclusions : The instrument of oriental medical evaluation for jing ji and zheng chong was developed through experts' discussion. If the validity and reliability of this instrument is confirmed through additional clinical trial, the instrument of oriental medical evaluation for jing ji and zheng chong is expected to be applied to the subsequent research.

  • Maek Kyoung(Mai Jing, 脈經) is the first chinese specialized book of diagnostics written by Wang Hee(Wang xi, 王熙) from Seo Jin(xi jin, 西晉). He assorted the contents with pulse and medical examination from Nae Kyoung(nei jing, 內經), Nan Kyoung(nan jing, 難經), Sang Han Ron(shang han lun, 傷寒論) and Jung Jang Kyoung(zhong cang jing, 中藏經). And united with his own research, he explains medical examination and the way of talking the pulse by classifying into entrance and class. Maek Kyoung(Mai Jing, 脈經) was imported Korea by Ji Chong(zhi cong, 知聰) AD 561, and he passed through Ko Ku Ryeo(gao gou li, 高句麗) with Nae Wei Jeon(nei wai dian, 內外典), Yak Seo(yao shu, 藥書), Myung Dang Do(ming tang tu, 明堂圖) and MaekKyoung(Mai Jing, 脈經) to be naturalized in Japan. This treatise make a special study of the second volume of the Maek Kyoung. It consists of the four chapters : Pyoung Sam Kwan Eum Yang E Sip Sa Ki Maek Je I1(平三關陰陽二十四氣脈第一), Pyoung In Young Sin Mun Ki Ku Jeon Hu Maek Je E(平人迎神門氣口前後脈第二), Pyoung Sam Kwan Byoung Hu Byoung Chi Eui Je Sam(平三關病侯幷治宜第三), and Pyoung Gi Kyoung Pal Maek Byoung Je Sa(平奇經八脈病第四). Bi Geup Choun Geum Yo Bang(備急千金要方) and Eui Hak Ip Mun(醫學入門) quoted from the contents in the second volume of Maek Kyoung, and Bin Ho Maek Hak(瀕湖脈學), Gi Kyoung Pal Maek Go(奇經八脈攷) and Maek Eo(脈語) extracted from contents in the second volume of the Maek Kyoung and requoted from this contents. Contents in the second volume of the Maek Kyoung have very valuable data like that, but the literature on this subject in the form of a treatise has not been yet in Korea. So I hope this study will be useful to develope Diagnostics by correcting translation and interpretation and fixing wrong translation.

  • The study examined clinical effect of the 'Sexiang Shuhuo Jing' on serum CK and LDH activities and skeletal muscle ${\alpha}-actin$ mRNA expression concentration 140days after skeletal muscle injury in rats. The clinical research consisted of observing and measuring the serum CK, LDH activities and skeletal muscle ${\alpha}-actin$ mRNA expression, at the time of injury and during recovery. All experimental data were analyzed by repeated measurement with ANOVA on of SPSS(11.5v), accepting level for all significances was above ${\alpha}\;=.05.$ The results were as follows: That skeletal muscle injury in rats there existed a substantial increase serum CK, LDH activities and expression of skeletal muscle ${\alpha}-actin$ mRNA And Sexiang Shuhuo Jing treatment group's serum CK, LDH activities lower and faster recovery than control group. The 1 st day after skeletal muscle injury, Sexiang Shuhuo Jing treatment group's skeletal muscle ${\alpha}-actin$ mRNA expression was much more higher than control group, after 2 day's faster recovery normal level than control group. There existed a substantial increase again serum CK, LDH activities and skeletal muscle ${\alpha}-actin$ mRNA expression 3rd days after injury in control group. But in Sexiang Shuhuo Jing treatment group's can't be found that.

  • Objectives : In the traditional oriental medicine, efforts to utilize the knowledge system so called Ontology have been achieved for systemic researches and efficient propagation of knowledge on oriental medicine. So far, in Korea, studies on drug ontology, pathological ontology, Cold Damage ontology and diagnostic ontology had been implemented, however, any development of ontology in the field of Acupuncture &, Moxibustion has not been achieved. Methods : We used Microsoft Access to collect terms in ZhenJiuJiaYiJing. The terms are related to human body area and structure. And then we built relationship of 'part of' and 'criterion of acupuncture point location' between the terms. Result & Conclusions : The terms used to explain acupuncture points in order to describe the position of acupuncture point name in ZhenJiuJiaYiJing were 8 words concerning different name of acupuncture point(穴名) 109, body part name(人體部位名稱) 150, meridian(經脈) 6 and structure(構造物).
