Remote On-line Determination of the Load Rate Limit of Generation in AGC (AGC 운용에 있어서의 원격 On-line 최대 증감발율 취득 기법)

  • The possibility of a remote on-line determination of the maximum load rates that are basically set at generation plants is investigated in automatic generation control (AGC) system. Energy management system (EMS) generates a test input to a remote power plant to get the samples of the generator output. Then from the samples it can be attempted to determine an approximate value of the load rate limit set by the operator. It is shown in computer simulation that in actual power plants the limit can be approximately determined from the input-output characteristics of the plants for a unit-step input.

  • This study purpose is to develop the high fireproof concrete which applied method of combined fiber mixed with polymer powder and organic fiber which can satisfy flowability and the fire resistance properties for construction of the super tall building. According to the results, in case of polymix it is effective to the reduction of internal temperature rise and spalling resistance so it as fire resistance that is similar to existing fiber cocktail.

  • 점적관개는 과수원이나 시설재배에서 수량 및 품질을 향상시키기 위해 물을 효율적으로 사용하여, 비료 및 농약 등에 의한 비점원 오염을 감소시킬 수 있는 방법으로 자주 고려되어 왔다. 효율적인 점적관개를 위해서는 관개시 토양의 수분 분포에 대한 정보가 필요하며, 이는 점적기의 간격, 관개수량 기준에 중요한 기초자료로 활용된다. 시설재배지에서 토양수분의 관리 및 관개를 위한 점적기 설치 간격, 유량은 현재 관리자의 경험적인 지식에 의존하고 있으며, 재배지 토성의 변화에 적절히 대응 할 수 있는 설계 기준 구축이 전무한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 점적관개 시 토양수분 분포의 변화 양상을 국내토양 및 시설재배 현황을 반영하여 실험설계를 실시하였으며 토양수분 재분배 및 균일성 평가 방법을 적용하여, 적정 점적관개 시스템의 설계 및 운영에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하였다.

  • Using electrocardiography is a common method to diagnose heart disease, Modeling and simulation of activation process for the heart system is useful to understand electrocardiography. This paper proposes a two-dimensional cellular automata model for the activation process of the ventricles. The model represents the geometry of the ventricles by the ellipsoidal shape in two dimension. In the model, ventricles are divided into four layers, each of which has a set of cells with preassigned properties. The proposed model takes Into account the local orientation of the myocardial fibers and their distributed velocity, and refractory period. Simulation experiment is performed to measure activation potential for each cell in each layer within the ventricles.

  • Chromosome analysis is an important and difficult task for clinical diagnosis, for mutagen dosimetry, and for biological research. It is expensive, time consuming and imprecise when performed manually. Efforts lo automate some or all of the procedures have continued for more than 30 years, with only limited success. An acquiring sample from chromosome group is not solved with automatic method. It is still performed by user. This paper represents the method of an automatic chromosome sample extraction which based on region splitting, and scan converted method.

  • Nitric oxide (NO), products of activated macrophages, have a great impact on the regulation of cytokine production. The role of NO in non-specific host cells is commonly accepted. On the contrary, its role as an immuno-regulatory molecule is still controversial. In this study, we have investigated the effect of NO on the production of cytokines from murine splenocytes and macrophages. S-nitroso-L-glutathione inhibited the release of both interferone-$\gamma$ and interleukin-2 produced by Th1 cells and tumor necrosis factor-$\alpha$ and interleukin-1$\beta$ produced by macrophages, but did not affect the release of interleukin-4 and interleukin-10 produced by Th2 cells. These results suggest that NO exerts a down-regulatory effect on the secretion of cytokines from Th1 cells and macrophages which are implicated in immune response. Thus, NO may have an important role as an immune-modulatory as well as effector molecule in the immune system.

  • The Korean Agricultural Culture Collection (KACC) has developed a web-based system to provide an integrated database with information updates about microbial resources. This integrated database consists of 5 major functions and contains general information, which includes identification numbers, culture media composition, image information, DNA sequences, patent information, and general forms for ordering and depositing microorganisms. In 2008, KACC started providing characterization information. KACC maintains 9,801 cultures of microorganisms, including 3,296 strains of bacteria, 4,734 fungi, 784 actinomycetes, 64 yeasts, and 923 others.
