In this study, due to the necessity of the equipment for inspecting an anti-jamming function depending on the expansion of the development of anti-jamming systems, an array antenna hood that can inspect the anti-jamming function of an anti-jamming system while being installed at the system was designed and manufactured. The manufactured array antenna hood plays a role in radiating GNSS signals and jamming signals. Based on an experiment, it was demonstrated that using a near-field radiation method, the manufactured array antenna hood could be used for examining the normal operation of an anti-jamming system function in outdoor or indoor environments rather than an anechoic chamber.
With the increase in the risk of GPS jamming, the development and application of anti-jamming GPS techniques have been actively performed. As the objective performance verification of developed techniques is important, equipment development for verification and discussion on anti-jamming performance test method and procedure have also been conducted. However, most tests are related to the specification of equipment and therefore detailed procedure of the performance verification of an anti-jamming system needs to be developed. In this study, requirements for anti-jamming performance verification were described, and test configurations and performance evaluation items depending on three kinds of test methods (lab test, basic outdoor test, and chamber test) were suggested for anti-jamming performance verification.

This study discusses the multiple knife-edge diffraction loss with the receiver and jammer located in the Seoul metropolitan northwestern region. The considered positioning and jamming signals are the GPS L1 C/A signal and several jamming signals such as the wideband Gaussian noise, matched spectrum, and continuous wave signals. To calculate the accurate diffraction effects, the 3-dimensional topography data at the Seoul metropolitan northwestern region was used.

OFDM/SFH(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing/slow frequency hopping) system is the combination of OFDM communication system with frequency hopping(FH) method and OFDM/DS(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing/direct sequence) system combines the OFDM communication system with direct sequence(DS) method in terms of PN(pseudo noise) sequence. These two systems are also can be used for anti-jamming. In this study we analyze performances of OFDM/SFH system and OFDM/DS system with the equal information rate in partial band jamming and tone jamming channel. We find BER(bit error rate) in the variation of JFR(jamming fractional ratio) and JSR(jamming to signal power ratio) of the partial band jamming. Also, BER is found in the several JSR of the single tone or multi tone jamming. OFDM/DS system shows better performance than OFDM/SFH system in partial band jamming environment. OFDM/DS system has about 2.5 ㏈ SNR(signal to noise power ratio) gains than OFDM/SFH system when JFR=4/16 and JSR=0 ㏈ to meet BER=10$\^$-3/. However, OFDM/SFH system has about 3 ㏈ SNR gains than OFDM/DS system at single tone jamming of JSR=5 ㏈. In multi tone jamming, performance of OFDM/SFH system is considerably degraded than OFDM/DS system.

In modern warfare, jamming for neutralizing the enemy electronic equipments is as important as destroying them by common weapon systems. Noise jamming is a base technique of EA(Electronic Attack) and it is one of the effective jamming techniques. Noise jamming is effective regardless of enemy electronic equipment receiver types. For increasing jamming efficiency using the same output power, noise jamming bandwidth has to be similar to target receiver's bandwidth. Radar jamming source like DRFM(Digital Radio Frequency Memory) requires noise bandwidth changing immediately for time sharing multiple jamming. In this paper, we developed bandwidth changable noise jamming signal for phase sampling type DRFM and do simulation using Matlab for showing the jamming signal output.
These anti-jamming GPS systems are verified using large anechoic chamber or field-test until now. When using a large anechoic chamber, Independent verification from external enviroments like noise is an advantage but high cost and availability of chamber are disadvantages. And in case of field test, verification under real propagation enviroment is an advantage but security problem of military equipments and problem of making same test condition are disadvantages. This paper presents an newly developed anti-jamming GPS test system. This test system mainly consists of small anechoic chamber, jamming divider, jamming signal generator and satellite simulator. The small anechoic chamber is installed many jamming antennas to transmit multi jamming signals and the jamming divider is newly developed to control multi jamming signals. According to self performance test and combined test with Anti-jamming GPS receiver, we verified our system's reliability.

As the damage caused by GPS jamming has been increased, researches for detecting and preventing GPS jamming is being actively studied. This paper deals with a GPS jamming detection method using multiple GPS receiving channels and three-types machine learning techniques. Proposed multiple GPS channels consist of commercial GPS receiver with no anti-jamming function, receiver with just anti-noise jamming function and receiver with anti-noise and anti-spoofing jamming function. This system enables user to identify the characteristics of the jamming signals by comparing the coordinates received at each receiver. In this paper, The five types of jamming signals with different signal characteristics were entered to the system and three kinds of machine learning methods(AB: Adaptive Boosting, SVM: Support Vector Machine, DT: Decision Tree) were applied to perform jamming detection test. The results showed that the DT technique has the best performance with a detection rate of 96.9% when the single machine learning technique was applied. And it is confirmed that DT technique is more effective for GPS jamming detection than the binary classifier techniques because it has low ambiguity and simple hardware. It was also confirmed that SVM could be used only if additional solutions to ambiguity problem are applied.

This paper is to investigate propagation path characteristics of GPS potential jamming signal. To do this, the spherical ground diffraction model is applied to the potential jamming scenario referred to the GPS jamming events occurred in recent years. The fundamental theory on the propagation path loss is discussed and a specific model is applied to several vehicles types which have own heights of antennas in order to compare their propagation path loss values at same 2-D location. The transmitting powers are appropriately given as the ordinary GPS jamming events. And then the received powers in dBW are obtained with given transmitting powers and the estimated total loss. The result of received jamming power at various locations due to the given scenario was distinct. For example, propagation loss values were estimated as -147 ~ -142dBW and -167 ~ -162dBW in $10^6W$ and $10^4W$, respectively. This computation result of the loss can be seriously considered with the tolerable jammer power against L1- C/A GPS receiver under any real jamming situations.
In this paper, we describe a simultaneously transmitted jamming (ST-jamming) for bi-directional in-band full-duplex (IFD) system to improve information security at the physical layer. By exploiting ST-jamming, each legitimate user transmits data samples and jamming samples together in one orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbol according to given traffic asymmetry. Regardless of the traffic difference in both directions in IFD communication, eavesdropping of confidential information is prevented in both directions simultaneously without the loss of data rate. We first propose an encoding scheme and the corresponding decoding scheme for ST-jamming to be used by the legitimate users. In addition, we study a transceiver structure of the legitimate users including a baseband modem uniquely designed for the use of ST-jamming. The leakage of confidential information at an eavesdropper is then quantified by studying the mutual information between the confidential transmit signals and the received signals of the eavesdropper. Simulation results show that the proposed ST-jamming significantly reduces the leakage of legitimate information at the eavesdropper.

As an interpretation of existing jamming effects, the main variables affecting the increase in stiffness due to jamming are known as system density, jamming density, pressure, and particulate temperature. The main variable, jamming density, is closely related to the distribution of particle size and contact properties such as particle shape and friction. However, the complexity of these variables makes it difficult to fully understand the mechanism of the jamming effect. In this paper, we focus on the jamming effects of particles that have more elastic properties than particles such as sand and coffee powder, which are commonly used as constituent particles of existing jamming, in order to reduce complicated factors such as temperature and concentrate on jamming effects based on elastic characteristics of particles. It was experimentally explored the possibility of increasing stiffness by mixing particles of different sizes rather than simply increasing the bending stiffness by controlling the particle size. Through simulations and experiments, we found a case where the stiffness of each particle size distribution is larger than the stiffness of each particle size.
