Objectives On the point of modern preventive medicine, Sasang Constitutional Meidicine(SCM) has the thoughts of preventive medicine. Modern preventive medicine has the three dimensional prevention; primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. The preventive thoughts of SCM concerning three dimensional prevention have been investigated in this article. Method Materials and references were collected about the prevention of SCM. Lee Jema's books such as Donguisusebowon, Gyeokchigo and Donguisusebowon Chobonguen were included. Result and Conclusions As the primary prevention of SCM, Regimen according to ages, explanation according to health index as Myeongmaeksilsu(命脈實數), moderation of four ruinous causes such as intoxication, seduction, opulence and authority, adequate social life and control of 4 kinds of emotions(sorrow, anger, joy and pleasure) are included. As the secondary prevention of SCM, explanation according to disease index, fragile Organs and frequently acquired diseases according to constitutions are included. As the tertiary prevention of SCM, rehabilitation for the stroke patients according to constitutions is included. In conclusion, SCM has all of 3 dimensional prevention methods although that might be applied with modern considerate modification.

Lee, Jema recognized human being as human figure and human nature according to 'if threre is a thing, there are a law to explain the thing'. And he thought Sa-Sang is the most basic and proper concept to explain things and changes. This paper is to find his medical view why human beings are classified into four types. 1. A medical clue to classify human being is different viscera function. 2. The size of viscera means the strength and weakness of metabolic function of viscera. 3. The essence of different viscera function is related to metabolism of water and food, air and fluid. Lungs and Liver do metabolic function through exhale and inhale of air and fluid. Spleen and Kidneys do metabolic function through intake an d output water and food. 4. It is most important to consider and to treat the condition of small size viscera.

전력 계통에 연계하는 신재생에너지 분산형 전원의 보급량이 지속적으로 늘어나면서 저압 계통의 공통 연계점에 다수대의 PCS(Power Conditioning System)가 집중적으로 설치되는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 최근 일본전기공업회(JEMA)는 계통 사고나 계획 정전 등으로 변전소 차단기가 개방되었을 때, 복수대 PCS의 능동방식이 서로 간섭을 일으켜 정해진 시간 내에 단독운전 검출기능이 작동하지 않게 되는 상황을 방지하기 위해 표준형 단독운전 능동적 방식을 공표하였다. 본 논문에서는 일본 단독운전 검출방식의 표준으로 지정된 스텝주입이 있는 주파수피드백 방식의 원리와 특징을 살펴보고, 이를 적용하여 연계 보호기능의 안전성 확보와 분산형 전원 보급에 기여하는 효과에 대해 소개하였다.

According to Confucianism, the world before Confucius focused on respecting the heaven which meant that everything could be done by the heaven. After the period of Confucianism, Joo-Ja asserted that everything could be done by nature. During the Chosun Dynasty, philosophers such as Seo Kyung-duck, Lee Hwang, and Lee Yi talked about four characters and seven passions of human being. They started to focus more on the inside of human nature. During the later period of the Chosun Dynasty, a philosopher by the name of Dongmugong Lee Jema analyzed that one's nature and feelings can change his or her external matter and the function of internal organs by purity or impurity of one's mind. Based on these analysis, Dongmugong discovered 'sasangin' which puts more emphasis on one's state of mind compared to the outside the world. Also, Dongmugong tried to figure out the connections between Confucianism and medical science. If you use change fire and stone theory which is difference between hado and nock-seo to expain four seven theory one's mind could be define as four natural characters and seven feelings. From four seven theory four is ying and seven is yang. This is the method of cure and understand the structure of human body. And also, four natural characters and seven feelings can be divided into heaven and earth. You can see Four natural characters is far more similar to heaven and seven feelings are similar to earth. According to four-seven theory hado is permanent and you can find out 'sasangin' is permanent also. Since seven feelings are influenced by sam-jae, you can analogize there are 21 different types in 'sasangin'. An underlying principle should there be 28 different types of sasangin instead of 21 different types of sasangin but one quater of sasangin is hidden according to samhyuniljang theory. All creations in the world are organized by unification of the great absolute and symmetry distinction of yingyang. With these facts identity of the heaven, earth and man which is named samjae generates symbols of independent sasang. And also, sasang generates relations between five element, six energy and the six family relation. From six family relation comes seven feelings of man which creates a category of the eight trigrams for divination and unification of nine palace. All these process are united.

1. Objectives: This study examines the pathologies that originate from a Common Root Pathologic Category(CRPC; 同出一屬) in the Soyangin that are suggested in the Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM). 2. Methods: The changes in concepts and perceptions on the Soyangin pathologies were compared across the different editions of Donguisusebowon, "Donguisusebowon, Gabo edition(東醫壽世保元甲午本) (DGO)" and "Donguisusebowon, Sinchuk edition (東醫壽世保元辛丑本) (DSC)". 3. Results and Conclusions: The Soyangin pathologies originating from a CRPC that are described in Donguisusebowon are actually detailed classifications of the Yin-deficiency Diurnal-heat symptomatology (陰虛午熱證) and the Chest-congestion symptomatology (結胸證). Lee Jema had introduced the concept of "Common Root Pathologic Category(CRPC)" to approach pathologies of similar exterior/interior classification or severity stage (mild/moderate/severe/critical) by combining them in a comprehensive, integrative pathology system. This comprehensive approach, which promotes better understanding of the Soyangin pathology and maximizes the therapeutic efficiency of SCM, constitutes the "Comprehensive Therapeutic Methodology" that is the hallmark of Sasang therapy.

Objectives This paper was aimed to review the preceding research on the origins, changes and constructive principle of Taeeumjowi-tang.Methods We reviewed Jema Lee's original works including Dongyisusebowon and relevant books to analyze Taeeumjowi-tang-related items. To compensate insufficient evidence of literature, we also refocued physiological and pathological pecularities of Taeeumin and relevant symptomatology.Results and Conclusions 1) The origins of Taeeumjowi-tang should be Mahwang-tang, Saengmaek-san, Seokchangpowonji-san, and Gondam-san. 2) Taeeumjowi-tang went through Saengmaek-san, Sanyakhwawi-jeon, Bopyesaengmaek-tang, Gilgyungsaengmaek-san, and Bopyewon-tang before it was built as the final version. 3) Taeeumjowi-tang consists of a) big blue lilyturf (麥門冬) and Omija (五味子) which are directly of help to exhale and disperse qi-fluid of Lung, b) balloon-flower (桔梗) which helps circulation of qi-fluid from Head to Lung, c) adlay (薏苡仁) and dry nut (乾栗) which are directly of help to raise up qi-fluid of Wiwan, d) ephedra (麻黃) which helps circulation of qi-fluid from Wiwan to skin, e) calamus (石菖蒲) which directly helps the psychological function of Ear, and f) radish seed (蘿葍子) which slightly eliminate the excessive function of Small intestine, treating Wiwanhan symptomatology in Taeeumin.

The Objective of this article is to make a bibliographical introduction and to discuss the historical value of several literatures on the Sasang constitutional medicine established by Jema Lee$(1837{\sim}1900)$. Literatures are as follows: 1. ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon Donguisusebowon(咸山沙忖 東醫壽世保元 甲午舊本)${\lrcorner}$; newly found draft of ${\ulcorner}$Donguisusebowon${\lrcorner}$ that contains an old edition written in 1894. 2. ${\ulcorner}$Bojeyeonseol-Supplement of Donguisusebowon(普濟演設-東醫壽世保元補編)${\lrcorner}$; a clinical book which is regarded as to had been published before the first edition of ${\ulcorner}$Donguisusebowon${\lrcorner}$ was printed. 3. ${\ulcorner}$Gyukchigo appendix(格致藁-附錄)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Sasang Medicine-A Memorandom of the first edition(四象醫學草本卷備忘錄)${\lrcorner}$; which were aquired in Yanbian(China) several years ago. 4. ${\ulcorner}$Donguisusebowon${\lrcorner}$- The first edition published in 1901; owned by Mikki Sakae(三木榮) a Japanese medical historian. 5. ${\ulcorner}$Donguisusebowon${\lrcorner}$ - Manuscript; poetry on natures of herbal drugs are appended.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between counseling skills and Sasang constitutional medicine(SCM). Methods Reviewing the texts relevant to SCM, comparison between counseling skills and the excerpt from the relating books was conducted in terms of the attitude of the counselor, the observation method, the evaluation of the counselee, the relationship between the counselor and counselee, and the counseling method. Results As the attitude of the counselor, many kinds of attitudes and skills including respecting the counselee and reciprocal belief were needed. The excerpt from "Gyeokchigo" meant that the counselor or a doctor should have the virtue of Truth. To evaluate the patient's problems in SCM and the counseling, diet, digestion, and sleep could be asked, but questions about the emotions such as Joy, Anger, Sorrow and Pleasure should be more carefully modified in a modern way, when applying clinical practices. Empathy as the main principle of the counseling could be attributed to the main idea of Dongmu Lee Jema, in which all the people could be in the same status in a natural way reflecting that they like the virtue and dislike the evil. Recommendations of regimen and directives could be followed according to SCM Conclusions Several items of counseling skills and SCM coincide but some of the modern counseling skills are still needed to apply SCM to make the patients with psychiatric problems treated efficiently.

Objectives : First, the time of publication of the writing Jinjeong(陳情), was identified with consideration of current affairs at the time in Hamgyeongdo. Second, the relevance between agricultural policies and military/defense policies were identified. Third, based on these findings, the phrase "洋醜之漁獵頻泊汊 港, 峩人之耕牧恒據沿䐉" was throughly examined within its historical context. The Jinjeong(陳情) of the Dongmuyugo(東武遺稿) is a writing on crossing borders into the Maritime Province of Siberia, which was written between the end of September and December of 1870. 2. The phrase "洋醜之漁獵頻泊汊港" is related to the incident when a handover line was at anchor in the Unggi harbor three times in 1869. 3. "我人之耕牧恒據沿海" refers to the rumor spread in 1870 about Russia being an ideal country that practiced ideal politics, to the extent of cattle and horse being gifted to immigrants into the country.
