Occipital alopecia after Open Heart Surgery under the Cardiopulmonary bypass is an uncommon minor complication. We had experienced Occipital alopecia in 6 cases after Open Heart Surgery. The cause of the alopecia was transient circulatory disturbance due to pressure effect of the patient`s head and intraoperative hypotension. The prodromal symptoms of the alopecia were erythema, itching, and watery discharge, but some patients showed non-specific symptoms. The common site of the alopecia was right occipital region and the size was 2-4 cm in diameter. The regrowth of the hair was completed at postoperative 3 to 5 months without specific treatment except conservative treatment. Fortunately the postoperative alopecia is a self-limiting condition, and spontaneous regrowth of hair is the rule without other complications.

A Reports were done on 3 cases of proriasis, 1 case of chronic urticaria which were admition and treated by fasting therapy in Dept. surgery, opthalmology & otolaryngology, college of Oriental Medicine, Kyungsan University, Pohang, Korea, from March 1999 to October 2000. The results were as follows: 1. In the case chronic urticaria, symptom and sign(jtching, wheal, erythema), except of pigment, were showed conciderable improvement. 2. In the case proriasis, it is different of person, bellow 5cm sized erythematous popules were disappeared during fasting therapy, above 5cm sized erythematous papules and plaque were improved by using medication after fasting therapy. Silver-white colored scales was improved about $50-60\%$, itching was disappeared during fasting therapy. 3. After fasting therapy there was a recurrence, but about $40-50\%$ decreased symptoms were showed. 4. Besides upper diagnosis and treatment based on overall of symptoms and signs considered by documentary investigation, medications by Sasang prescription also can be expected good treatment effect.

Gomphrena globosa has not known including allergic substances. In this report, it could induce allergic diseases like itching, redness, edema, dryness all over the body. Allergic patient from Gomphrena globosa gained a complete recovery under the administration of Sihogyejitang.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to present a reliable method of scrotal reconstruction. Methods: 75 year - old - man visited the out patient department of urology for chronic itching sensation in his scrotal area, diagnosed as Bowen's disease. After the wide resection of scrotal lesion, reconstruction was carried with pedicled anterolateral thigh perforator flap. All operation procedure was done with an usual manner, previously reported. Donor site was closed primarily. Results: In 6th month follow - up period, there was no event, such as flap necrosis, wound dehiscence, tumor recurrence. And tactile sensation was recovered. Conclusion: In the Korean literature, there have not been the report that describes the reconstruction of scrotal defect using pedicled anterolateral thigh perforator flap. Pedicled anterolateral thigh perforator flap is reliable and robust flap for scrotal reconstruction.

The purpose of this study is to assess the characteristics of self-reported symptoms of workers in office building with HVAC system, and also to provide better workplaces in terms of comfort and health. The methods employed in this study include literature review, field observations, and survey. The self-reported symptoms of workers such as headache, fatigue, itching and dryness regarded as SBS symptoms commonly occur after around 3:00 pm and are relieved after leaving their office buildings. according to results in previous studies, above are possibly related to CO2 concentrations. It is also found work environment factors and the satisfaction on indoor environment are all associated with worker's health. Hopefully, this overview of current work environments concerning the level of satisfaction and health problems of workers would help create healthier indoor environment.

Background: Owing to stress of external appearance and bad sleeping by itching, children with atopic dermatitis grow slowly. Object: The purpose of this study is estimation of growth degree on children with atopic dermatitis Method: During I year from 2001 till 2002, it became the object of studing that 45 children with atopic dermatitis and random sample 45 children without atopic dermatitis, without another disease related to growth from 2 years to 10 years in Dep. of Pediatrics, Dongguk university Bundang Oriental Hospital. Result: Height percent of children with atopic dermatitis is more lower than Height percent of children without atopic dermatitis out of considering for the distinction of sex and age. The more atopic dermatitis is severe, the more height percent of children with atopic dermatitis is lower Conclusion: Atopic dermatitis is related to the growth on children.

Exfoliative Dermatitis is a name of a group of symptoms which is characterized by red rash, itching and scale in almost whole body. The patients are suffered from hypoalbuminemia, general weakness and fever sign in addition to characteristic skin lesions. So in the treatment of this disease, adequate symptomatic treatment is important with adequate topical skin management. We experienced a 69 year old Korean male patient diagnosed as Exfoliative Dermatitis based on clinical symptoms and a medical certificate. We concluded that the symptoms of this patient are Sun-symptoms(癬症) and gave him Bangpungtongsung-san(剝脫性皮膚炎) and Geunsun-bang(乾癬方). After taking Oriental Medicine(the hebal medicine of internal use), clinical improvement was noticed. Based on this experience, internal use of Oriental Medicine have a good effect in Exfoliative Dermatitis.

Objective : We investigated the effects of Oriental medical treatment on psoriasis which is a chronic disease. Methods : We applied acupuncture and herbal medicine to psoriasis patients. The progress of symptom is calculated using PASI(psoriasis area and severity) score and degree of itching is checked 0 to 3. Results : After oriental medical treatment, patients recovered from psoriasis without side effect. Conclusion : Oriental medical treatment can be a very effective way to treat psoriasis. The more patients we treat, the more clinical report is accumulated. Then it would be helpful to map out a systematic treatment on psoriasis.

Urticaria is acute febrile dermatopathy. Patients suffer from Urticaria, because It causes wheals, flare, itching and so on. It occurs usually. $15%{\sim}20%$ of all people experience it in one's whole life. This case is about one patient who suffered from urticaria. He was controled by western medicine, but he was not treated. We diagnosed his case as Soyangin(少陽人) Yangdokbalban(陽毒發斑), We observed his bowel movement condition, he had constipation. Our objective was that his bowel movement rendition would be normal. So we and used Soyangin(少陽人) Yangdokbaekho-tang(陽毒白虎湯). As a result of this treatment, his symptom vanished.

1. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of Yangkyuksanhwa-tang which is based on sasang constitutional medicine for dermatitis as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis. 2. Methods: This two patients were treated by Soyangin's constitutional medications according to the result of sasang constitutional diagnosis. We evaluated the severity in dermatitis that two methods ; doctor's view and patient's subjective itching. 3. Results & Conclusoins: This cases study shows an efficent result of using Yangkyuksanhwa-tang in treatment of dermatitis as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis.
