지구통계기법을 이용한 소양호퇴적물 분포연구 (Spatial distribution of sediments in the Soyang Lake based on geostatistical analyses)

  • 소양댐 축조 이후 소양호에 퇴적된 퇴적물의 양과 분포상태를 파악하기 위하여, 227 km에 달하는 측선을 따라 10-20 kHz 음파탐사를 실시하였다. 측선간격은 종단면의 경우 대략 50 m, 횡단면의 경우 500 m 정도이다. 이득조절과 f-k 구조보정 과정을 거친 후, 퇴적물의 경계를 수치화하고, 38개 시추코아 자료와 대비하여 확인하였다. 댐축조 이후 퇴적물의 두께는 평균 0.25 m로 최대 8.25m에 달한다. 댐축조 이후 퇴적물의 총 부피는 이방성을 고려하여 지구통계기법으로 계산할 경우, 등방성을 가정하고 구한 경우보다 2배 이상 증가한 $5.9{\times}10^6\;m^3$에 달하는 것으로 분석된다.

Buckling and vibration analyses of MGSGT double-bonded micro composite sandwich SSDT plates reinforced by CNTs and BNNTs with isotropic foam & flexible transversely orthotropic cores

  • Because of sandwich structures with low weight and high stiffness have much usage in various industries such as civil and aerospace engineering, in this article, buckling and free vibration analyses of coupled micro composite sandwich plates are investigated based on sinusoidal shear deformation (SSDT) and most general strain gradient theories (MGSGT). It is assumed that the sandwich structure rested on an orthotropic elastic foundation and make of four composite face sheets with temperature-dependent material properties that they reinforced by carbon and boron nitride nanotubes and two flexible transversely orthotropic cores. Mathematical formulation is presented using Hamilton's principle and governing equations of motions are derived based on energy approach and applying variation method for simply supported edges under electro-magneto-thermo-mechanical, axial buckling and pre-stresses loadings. In order to predict the effects of various parameters such as material length scale parameter, length to width ratio, length to thickness ratio, thickness of face sheets to core thickness ratio, nanotubes volume fraction, pre-stress load and orthotropic elastic medium on the natural frequencies and critical buckling load of double-bonded micro composite sandwich plates. It is found that orthotropic elastic medium has a special role on the system stability and increasing Winkler and Pasternak constants lead to enhance the natural frequency and critical buckling load of micro plates, while decrease natural frequency and critical buckling load with increasing temperature changes. Also, it is showed that pre-stresses due to help the axial buckling load causes that delay the buckling phenomenon. Moreover, it is concluded that the sandwich structures with orthotropic cores have high stiffness, but because they are not economical, thus it is necessary the sandwich plates reinforce by carbon or boron nitride nanotubes specially, because these nanotubes have important thermal and mechanical properties in comparison of the other reinforcement.

항공기용 신호 송출 POD의 설계 및 개발 (Design and Development of Signal Transmitting POD for Aircraft Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 항공기에 장착하여 S/C대역의 신호를 장거리 표적으로 방사하기 위한 장치를 개발하였다. 장치는 요구된 실효 등방성 복사전력을 충족시키기 위해 대역별 송신기와 광대역 안테나로 RF 인터페이스를 구성하였다. 장치의 외형은 항공기 연료탱크와 동일한 포드(pod) 형상으로 설계했고, 측정된 장치의 중량은 119.8 kg, 무게중심은 1391.35 mm 그리고 관성 모멘트는 46.07 ± 0.05(Iyy) kg·㎡과 45.36 ± 0.09(Izz) kg·㎡로 모두 항공기 장착을 위한 요구도를 충족함을 확인하였다. 비행 안전을 확인하기 위해 전자기 간섭 시험(RE102, CE102), 환경시험(고온/저온 운용, 고도), 체계 내 전자기 적합성 시험 그리고 인체 전자기 복사 위해도 시험을 수행하였으며, 모든 항목의 시험 결과가 요구사항을 충족함을 확인하였다. 장치는 요구되는 전기적/기계적으로 요구되는 사항을 모두 충족함으로써 항공기 장착이 가능함을 확인하였다.

X-ray 후방산란 기술을 이용한 항공기용 복합재료의 다중 층간 박리 평가 (Assessment of Multiple Delamination in Laminated Composites for Aircrafts using X-ray Backscattering)

  • 항공기용 복합재료 내부 여러 층에서 발생하는 박리를 정량적으로 평가하기 위한 X-ray 후방산란 검사장치를 개발하였다. 복합재료 두께방향으로의 역산란 밀도변화로부터 층간 박리를 검사하는 슬릿 방식의 카메라와 컴퓨터로 제어되는 X-ray 선원, 그리고 센서로 구성되는 X-ray 후방산란장치를 제작하여 그 성능을 충격하중에 의해 만들어진 인공결함시편을 이용해 검증하였다. 결함평가를 위해 복합재료내 산란장의 크기를 이론적으로 계산하는 수학적 해석 모델을 볼츠만 방정식을 이용하여 제안하였으며 적응필터 알고리즘을 사용하여 산란 노이즈를 최소화 하였다. 다중 박리 결함을 X-ray 후방산란장치를 통해 효과적으로 검출하였으며, 박리 위치와 박리 상태를 모두 정확하게 검사할 수 있음을 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

Development of Micro Tensile Test of CVD-SiC coating Layer for TRISO Nuclear Fuel Particles at elevated temperature

  • Very High Temperature gas cooler Reactor (VHTR) has been considered as one of the most promising nuclear reactor because of many advantages including high inherent safety to avoid environmental pollution, high thermal efficiency and the role of secondary energy source. The TRISO coated fuel particles used in VHTR are composed of 4 layers as OPyC, SiC, IPyC and buffer PyC. The significance of CVD-SiC coatings used in tri-isotropic(TRISO) nuclear coated fuel particles is to maintain the strength of the whole particle. Various methods have been proposed to evaluate the mechanical properties of CVD-SiC film at room temperature. However, few works have been attempted to characterize properties of CVD-SiC film at high temperature. In this study, micro tensile system was newly developed for mechanical characterization of SiC thin film at elevated temperature. Two kinds of CVD-SiC films were prepared for micro tensile test. SiC-A had [111]-preferred orientation, while SiC-B had [220]-preferred orientation. The free silicon was co-deposited in SiC-B coating layer. The fracture strength of two different CVD-SiC films was characterized up to $1000^{\circ}C$.The strength of SiC-B film decreased with temperature. This result can be explained by free silicon, observed in SiC-B along the columnar boundaries by TEM. The presence of free silicon causes strength degradation. Also, larger Weibull-modulus was measured. The new method can be used for thin film material at high temperature.

Geometrically non-linear static analysis of a simply supported beam made of hyperelastic material

  • This paper focuses on geometrically non-linear static analysis of a simply supported beam made of hyperelastic material subjected to a non-follower transversal uniformly distributed load. As it is known, the line of action of follower forces is affected by the deformation of the elastic system on which they act and therefore such forces are non-conservative. The material of the beam is assumed as isotropic and hyperelastic. Two types of simply supported beams are considered which have the following boundary conditions: 1) There is a pin at left end and a roller at right end of the beam (pinned-rolled beam). 2) Both ends of the beam are supported by pins (pinned-pinned beam). In this study, finite element model of the beam is constructed by using total Lagrangian finite element model of two dimensional continuum for a twelve-node quadratic element. The considered highly non-linear problem is solved by using incremental displacement-based finite element method in conjunction with Newton-Raphson iteration method. In order to use the solution procedures of Newton-Raphson type, there is need to linearized equilibrium equations, which can be achieved through the linearization of the principle of virtual work in its continuum form. In the study, the effect of the large deflections and rotations on the displacements and the normal stress and the shear stress distributions through the thickness of the beam is investigated in detail. It is known that in the failure analysis, the most important quantities are the principal normal stresses and the maximum shear stress. Therefore these stresses are investigated in detail. The convergence studies are performed for various numbers of finite elements. The effects of the geometric non-linearity and pinned-pinned and pinned-rolled support conditions on the displacements and on the stresses are investigated. By using a twelve-node quadratic element, the free boundary conditions are satisfied and very good stress diagrams are obtained. Also, some of the results of the total Lagrangian finite element model of two dimensional continuum for a twelve-node quadratic element are compared with the results of SAP2000 packet program. Numerical results show that geometrical nonlinearity plays very important role in the static responses of the beam.

엑시머 레이저 수술의 역학적 모델 (A Mechanical Model of Excimer Laser Surgery)

  • A finite element-based computer simulation of excimer laser susery was conducted to study some factors on the surgery. In particular, the radius of curvature at the apex of the cornea was examined under various surgical conditions. Corneal tissue was assumed to be a nearly incompressible, linear elastic, homogeneous, isotropic material under very small deformation. The geometry of the human cornea was taken from the experimental data[1]. The simulation utilized ANSYS(Swanson Analysis System Inc.Rev.4.4A). In this study, the major factors which affect the outcomes of the excimer laser surgery were investigated. First, two patterns of surgery with various surgery thickness(40-70micrometers) were examind. The pattern#1 describes the meridian from the apex to the edge of the surgery area to be straight. And the corresponding meridian of the pattern 2 can be expressed as a quardratic function. The results show that the pattern #2 is more realistic and effective. Then, the effects of other factors were investigated based on the pattern #2. Other factors are:various diameters of the surgical area (3-8 milimeters), Young's modules(3.5-4.5MPa), and depth of surgery at the apex(40-70micrometers). Compared with the computer simulation of the radial keratotomy surgery[2], the excimer laser surgery was proven to be more effective in treating myopia patients. In conculusion, the results of the simulation are qualitative agreement with clinical experience[3] indicating the potential of the finite element model of the surgery as a guideline to the surgeon before actual surgery.

수리형태학적 분석을 통한 계단응답 추출 및 반복적 정칙화 방법을 이용한 점확산함수 추정 및 영상 복원 (Morphology-Based Step Response Extraction and Regularized Iterative Point Spread Function Estimation & Image Restoration)

  • 본 논문은 수리형태학적 분석을 통한 계단응답 추출 및 반복적 정칙화 방법을 이용한 점확산함수 추정 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 점확산함수 추정 기법은 입력 영상의 윤곽을 추출하기 위하여 캐니 에지 추출법을 사용하고, 윤곽에 대한 수리형태학적 분석을 위해서 Hit-or-Miss 변환을 통해 추정 조건을 만족하는 수평 및 수직 에지를 추출한다. 이렇게 추출된 에지들을 평탄화 및 정규화 시켜서 최적의 계단응답으로 만들고, 반복적 정칙화 방법을 통해 점확산함수를 추정하는 과정을 보인다. 또한 추정된 점확산함수를 사용하여 영상 복원한 결과를 보인다. 제안하는 점확산함수 추정 방법은 기계적 초점 렌즈를 사용하지 않는 디지털 자동초점 시스템에 적용하여 디지털 입력 장치의 부가가치를 높이는데 기여할 수 있다.

평면형 병렬 매니퓰레이터의 내부 특이형상 해석 및 적응 퍼지논리제어 구현 (Internal singular configuration analysis and adaptive fuzzy logic control implementatioin for a planar parallel manipulator)

  • Parallel manipulator is suitable for the high precise task because it than has higher stiffness, larger load capacity and more excellent precision, due to the closed-lop structure, than serial manipulator. But the controller design for parallel manipulator is difficult because the parallel manipulator has both the complexity of structure and the interference of actuators. The precision improvement of parallel manipulator using a classical linear control scheme is difficult because the parallel manipulator has the tough nonlinear characteristics. In this paper, firstly, the kinematic analysis of a parallel manipulator used at the experiments is performed so as to show the controllability. The analysis of internal singular configuration of the workspace is performed using the kinematic isotropic index so a sto show the limitation of control performance of a simple linear controller with fixed control gains. Secondly, a control scheme is designed by using an adaptive fuzzy logic controller so that active joints of the parallel manipulator track more precisely the desired input trajectory. This adaptive fuzzy logic controller is often used for the control of nonlinear system because it has both the inference ability and the learning ability. Lastly, the effeciency of designed control scheme is demonstrated by the real-time control experiments with IBM PC interface logic H/W and S/W of my won making. The experimental results was a success.

한국어 파열음에 대한 후두내근의 역할 (LYRYNGEAL ADJUSTMENTS FOR KOREAN CONSONANTS)

  • 한국어 자음에 대한 생리적인 분류는 조음점 및 조음발법에 따라 다시 세분화할 수 있는데 그중에서 조음발법에 따라 파열음, 마찰음, 파찰음 및 비음들 여러가지로 분류할 수 있다. 그중 특히 파열음은 그 개방하는 방법에 따라 연음(lenis), 경음(glottalized) 및 기식음(aspirated)등으로 구분하는데 이러한 각음을 육안으로 확인하면 모음이 발성되기 위한 성대진동이 있기전의 자음을 위한 성대의 운동의 현상을 보면 기식음에서는 성대열림이 가장 크고 연음에서도 열림이 크지만 기식음보다는 적고 경음에서는 성대의 열림이 가장 작았다. 이러한 현상은 후두내시경에 의해 쉽게 확인할 수 있었는데 이것을 과학적으로 규명하기 위해서는 여러연구에 의해 가능하나 흔히 후두근전도 검사에 의한 성대내전근과 외전근의 역할의 차이를 비교함으로서 가능해지리라 예상되어 본 연구를 시행하였다. 사용된 문형 또는 단어는 한가지를 제외하고는 모두 의미있는 단어를 사용하였으며 EMG recording을 위해 사용된 근육은 후두내전근인 Vocalis muscle과 후두외전근인 Posterior cricoarytenoid muscle이 사용되었고 전기신호는 computer data processing system에 의해 분석되어졌다. 결과는 내시경에 의한 성대열림의 거리측정 결과를 분석함과 동시에 후두내근에 대한 근전도검사에 의한 분석을 토대로 하였으며 이를 간단히 설명하면 이제까지 많은 사람들은 한국어 자음에 대한 각각의 특징적인 현상들을 주로 성대내전근의 역할에 의해 규명하였으나 본 결과로는 성대내전근의 역할도 중요하지만 성대외전근의 역할 또한 상호 연관성을 가지면서 매우 중요한 역할을 한다는 점이다.for the Isotropic plates can be used.
