소각잔사 중의 클로로벤젠과 클로로페놀의 함량 및 이성체 분포특성 (The Content of Chlorobenzenes and Chlorophenols and Their Isomer in MSWI Fly Ash)

  • Chlorobenzenes (CBs) and chlorophenols (CPs) in fly ashy discharged from several municipal solid waste incinerators (MSWI) were investigated in terms of total content and isomer distribution. The content of CBs and CPs was highest in the fly ash from S incinerator, which were 1040.7ng CB/g-fly ash and 1156.4 ng CP/g-fly ash. According to the experimental results, while all samples contained a large amount of the higher chlorinated CBs, was almost constant regardless of season. The quantities of CBs and CPs depended closely on the chemical composition of MSW. while the isomer distribution of CBs and CPs was constant throughout all the year round.

  • The present study was performed to compare the cardiovascular adverse effects of verapamil. KR30031 and their each optical isomers, and also to measure their ability to overcome multidrug resistance (MDR). R-isomer of KR30031 (R-KR30031) was equipotent with S-isomer of KR30031 (S-KR30031) and 25 fold less potent than R-isomer of verapamil (R-verapamil) in relaxing the aorta isolated from rat (EC50: 11.8, 10.2 and 0.46 ${\mu}$M, respectively).   • The synthesis of cis- and trans-1,6-dihydroxypyrrolizidine starting from trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline and their evaluation as glycosidase inhibitors are reported. The cis-isomer was found to be a potent inhibitor against .alpha.-glucosidase and showed weak inhibitory effect against other glycosidases. The trans-isomer exhibited weak inhibitions of b-glucosidase and amylo-glucosidase and poor inhibition of other glycosidases.

  • A novel ONNO-type tetradentate ligand, 1,3-diaminopropane-N,N'-di-α-(β-methyl)-pentanoic acid (H2apmp) and its cobalt(Ⅲ) complexes, [Co(apmp)X2]n+, (X=Cl-, NO2-, H2O, X2=CO32-, en, L-phenylalanine) have been synthesized. During the preparation of the dichloro cobalt(Ⅲ) complex of apmp, [Co(apmp)Cl2]-, the ligand has coordinated to the cobalt(Ⅲ) ion in a geometric selectivity to give only the uns-cis isomer and, during the substitution reaction between L-phenylalanine and [Co(apmp)Cl2]-, the L-phenylalanine has coordinated to the cobalt(Ⅲ) ion in a geometric selectivity to give only an uns-cis-meridional isomer. It is of interest that this is a rare case of the [Co(ONNO ligand)X2]n+-type complex preparations, which gives only an uns-cis isomer with geometric selectivity.

  • A new flexible quadridentate ligand, N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine-N,N'-di-${\alpha}$-propionic acid (dmedpa) has been synthesized, and diammine and ethylenediamine cobalt(III) complexes of dmedpa, $[Co(dmedpa)(NH_3)_2]^+$ and $[Co(dmedpa(en)]^+,$ have been prepared. Only s-cis isomer has been yielede. A known N,N'-dimethylethylediamine-N,N'-diacetic acid (dmedda) has also been prepared. Dichloro cobalt(III) complexes of both dmedda and dmedpa have been prepared. Only the s-cis isomer has been yielded in the $[Co(dmedda)Cl_2]^-$ complex, while only the uns-cis isomer has been obtained for the $[Co(dmedpa)Cl_2]^-$ complex.

${\alpha}-Tocopherol$이 첨가된 Methyl Linoleate의 산화물 생성 기구 (Oxidation Mechanism of Methyl Linoleate with ${\alpha}-Tocopherol$)

  • Methyl linoleate에 ${\alpha}-Tocopherol$을 첨가하여(TML) $37^{\circ}C$에서 9일간 산화시키면서 산화생성물의 확인 및 생성기구에 대하여 GC/MS를 사용하여 검토하였다. TML군에서의 산화 생성물들은 methyl octanoate와 methyl-8-(2-furyl)-octanoate 및 9,13-trans, cis isomer와 9,13-trans, trans isomer로 밝혀졌다. 전보의 methyl linoleate(ML)에서의 산화생성물과 비교하여 볼 때 9-TMSO-12,13-epoxy-10-octadecenoate 대신 methyl octanoate가 생성되었다. ${\alpha}-Tocopherol$의 주된 산화물인 ${\alpha}-Tocopherol$ quinone은 반응 6일부터 생성되었으며, ${\alpha}-Tocopherol$은 aqueous media보다 lipid media에서 산화가 빨리 진행되는 것으로 나타났다. Methyl linoleate의 산화에 의한 생성물들의 생성과정 기구를 추정한 결과, 우선 methyl-9,13-hydroxy-octadecadienoate가 생성되고 다시 methyl-9-hydroxy-10 trans, 12 trans-octadecadienoate로부터 methyl-8-(2-furyl)-octanoate와 9-TMSO-12,13-epoxy-10-ortadecenoate 및 methyl octanoate가 생성된 것으로 사료되었다.

Synthesis of 6-Exomethylenepenams as $\beta-Lactamase$ Inhibitors

  • The 6,6-dibromopenam (6) was treated with CH3MgBr and carbaldehyde 5 to afford the hydroxy compound 7, which was reacted with acetic anhydride to give acetoxy compound 8. The deacetobromination of 8 with zinc and acetic acid gave 6-exomethylenepenams, E-isomer 10 and Z-isomer 9, which was oxidized to sulfone 11 by m-CPBA. The p-methoxybenzyl compounds were deprotected by AlCl3 and neutralized to give the sodium salts 12, 13, and 14.

  • The synthesis of new 6-exomethylene penams with triazole ring was described. The 6,6-dibromopenam 5 was treated with $CH_3$MgBr and carbaldehyde 4 to afford the 6-bromo-6-(1-hydroxy-1-methyl)penicillanate 6, which was reacted with acetic anhydride to give acetoxy compound 7. The deacetobromination of 7 with zinc and acetic acid gave 6-exomethylenpenams, Z-isomer 8 and E-isomer 9, which were oxidized to sulfones 10 and 11 by m-CPBA. The p-methoxybenzyl compounds 6~11 were deprotected by AlCl$_3$ and neutralized to give the sodium salts 12~17.

Distribution and Content of Geometric Isomers of Conjugated Linoleic Acid in Dairy Foods from the Quebec Province of Canada

  • The distributions and content of geometrical isomers of conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) in dairy foods such as milk, yogurt, and cheese, produced or being sold in the Quebec province of Canada, were investigated by gas chromatographic analysis. The mean contents of total CLA (mg/g fat) were $5.06{\pm}0.74$ in 4 low-fat milk samples, $14.14{\pm}4.95$ in 6 yogurt samples, and $18.22{\pm}7.89$ in 5 natural ripened cheeses. Among the yogurt samples, YY contained the highest content of total CLA ($20.68{\pm}5.17\;mg/g$ fat). Among the cheese samples, Gruyere contained the highest amount of total CLA ($29.86{\pm}0.62$) as well as c-9,t-11 ($22.03{\pm}0.36\;mg/g$ fat), followed by Jarlsberg ($22.76{\pm}0.14$), Provolone ($16.42{\pm}0.52$), Cheddar ($13.83{\pm}0.81$), and Swiss ($8.23{\pm}1.11$). Based on the distribution ratios of CLA isomers in these dairy foods, the c-9,t-11 isomer appeared to be the major CLA isomer in both the low-fat milk ($89.87{\pm}2.39%$) and yogurt ($90.98{\pm}4.42%$). In the cheeses, however, the ratio of c-9,t-11 ($54.86{\pm}13.06%$) was slightly higher than that of c-10,c-12 ($40.81{\pm}13.40%$).
