Renewable energy resources such as wind and photovoltaic power generation systems demand a high step-up DC-DC converters to convert the low voltage to commercial grid voltage. However, the high step-up converter using a transformer has limitations of high voltage stresses of switches and diodes when the transformer winding ratio increases. Accordingly, conventional studies have been applied to series-connect multioutput converters such as forward-flyback and switched-capacitor flyback to reduce the transformer winding ratio. This paper proposes new single-ended converter topologies of an isolation type and a non-isolation type to improve power efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and output ripple. The first proposal is an isolation-type charge-pump switched-capacitor flyback converter that includes an extreme-ratio isolation switched-capacitor cell with a chargepump circuit. It reduces the transformer winding number and the output ripple, and further improves power efficiency without any cost increase. The next proposal is a non-isolation charge-pump switched-capacitor-flyback tapped-inductor boost converter, which adds a charge-pump-connected flyback circuit to the conventional switched-capacitor boost converter to improve the power efficiency and to reduce the efficiency degradation from the input variation. In this paper, the operation principle of the proposed scheme is presented with the experimental results of the 100 W DC-DC converter for verification.
This paper is given a full detail of mathematical analyses of input current for novel active type power factor correction(PFC) AC-DC converter of step up-down added electric isolation. These are compared with harmonics components of input current for a conventional PFC converter of electric isolation type. The proposed PFC converter is constructed in using a new loss-less snubber circuit to achieve a soft switching of control device. Also the proposed converter for discontinuous conduction mode(DCM) eliminates the complicated circuit control requirement and reduces the size of components. The input current waveform in the proposed converter is got to be a sinusoidal form of discontinuous pulse in proportion to magnitude of ac input voltage under the constant duty cycle switching. Therefore, input power factor is nearly unity and the control method is simple. Particularly, the stored energy of loss-less snubber capacitor is recovered with input side and increases input current from resonant operation. The result is that input power factor of the proposed converter is higher than that of a conventional PFC converter. Some simulative results on computer and experimental results are included to confirm the validity of the analytical results.
In this paper discusses isolation driver of single phase AC-DC reversible power converter The reversible power converter driven by binary combination at different transformer winding ratio by BCD code level. It has a advantage that constructs a control system simply and obtain load current of good quality with out filter circuit and free from noise or isolation for lower switching frequency. In this research, study on current type converter and inverter circuit that consist for possibility of AC-DC/BC-AC multi-level reversible converter.
A DC-DC converter is a device that accepts a DC input voltage and produces a DC
output voltage. Typically the output produced is at a different voltage level than the
input. In addition, DC-DC converters are used to provide noise isolation, power bus
regulation, etc. In this paper, it reviews some kinds of the popular DC-DC converter
topolopgies and performs simulation selected basic type of DC-DC Converter.(Buck-type
Converter)

This paper deals with transformer turns ratio design with the consideration of loss minimization in isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter. Generally, the rms value of current, magnitude of current at switching instance, and duty ratio of a converter vary according to the turns ratio of an isolation transformer in the converter under the same voltages and output power level. Therefore, the transformer turns ratio has an effect on the total loss in a converter. The switching and conduction losses of IGBTs and MOSFETs consisting of dual-active bridge converter are analyzed, and iron and copper losses in an isolation transformer and inductor are calculated. Total losses are calculated and measured in cases of four different transformer turns ratios through simulation and experiment with 3-kW converter, and an optimum turns ratio that provides minimum losses is found. The usefulness of the proposed transformer turns ratio design approach is verified through simulation and experimental results.
The Power Conditioning System is Power Transfer System which make array DC current to the Grid sinusoidal current. These are Low Frequency Transformer Inverter Type, High Frequency Transformer Inverter Type and Transformer-less Type. Low Frequency Transformer Type has a Excellent Isolation property, but doesn't have competitiveness in Size and Cost. Also High Frequency Transformer Type has a good Isolation property but there are many steps in Power transfer Switching. Nowadays, Transformer-less Type inverter change a transformer to DC/DC Converter which is small and cost effective. In this paper shown the DC/DC Converter Transformer-less Type multi-string inverter design and simulation. The Control Algorithm will be introduced and Simulation was accomplished.
This study deals with a isolation type MIC(Module Integrated Converter) for AC module with advantages such as DC Wireless, freely selectable installation capacity, minimized shadow effect etc. In this paper, MIC circuit with the function which can remove the ripple voltage of PV module and give the discharging path for charged energy in leakage inductance of isolation transformer. The validity of proposed circuir is verified by the simulation with PSIM.
In this paper, an active capacitor-diode-switch (CDS) snubber is proposed for L-type current-fed isolated DC-DC converters. The proposed CDS-clamped converter has a number of advantages. It can achieve wide range zero-voltage switching (ZVS) on two switches, a continuous input current with a low ripple, a reduction of one active switch and high efficiency. The operating principles, analysis and parameter design guideline are presented. A 300 W prototype is built to test the proposed converter. Simulation and experimental results are shown at 30 V input voltage and 400 V output voltage.

This paper presents new self excited DC-DC converters such as Buck-boost type, Buck type and also non-inverting Buck-boost type. The proposed converters has the following advantages: simple topology, small number of circuit components, easy control method. Therefore, these converters are suitable for the portable appliances with battery source. It is especially suited for low power DC-DC conversion applications where non isolation output power is usually required. The steady state characteristics of proposed self exciting Buck-boost DC-DC converter are analysis and the result shows good agreement with experimental value. Furthermore the experimental results for 50W class self oscillating Buck-boost DC-DC converter have been obtained, which demonstrate the high efficiency and good performance.
A novel type of the sinusoidal dc-to-ac converter is presented, where a pair of switches is placed in each side of the primary and the secondary of the isolation transformer. This converter is controlled by the phase difference between the two pairs of switches. As a result, the transformer is miniaturized by making the switching frequency high and the reactive energy can be easily recovered to the dc-source. This converter is especially suitable for small UPS systems.
