중학생들의 이온화식에 대한 지식상태분석 (Knowledge State Analysis of Ionic Equation for Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 이온화식 작성에 대한 중학생들의 이해 정도를 알아보는 것이다. 서울시 소재 중학교 한 곳에 재학중인 3학년 학생 219명이 연구에 참여하였다. 6차시에 걸친 ‘전해질과 이온’ 단원의 수업이 끝난 후, 이온화합물의 이온화 과정을 이온화식으로 표현하도록 구성한 서술형 검사를 실시하였다. 검사 결과를 분석하여 이온화합물의 구성 특성에 따라 이온화식 서술에 대한 정답률을 파악하였으며, 이온화식 표현과 관련된 지식상태를 토대로 이온화식 표현의 위계 관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이온화합물을 구성하는 양이온과 음이온의 종류, 전하량과 구성 개수를 바탕으로 이온화합물들을 여섯 집단으로 분류하고 집단의 특성에 따라 학생 응답을 분석한 결과 정답률에 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 지식 상태 분석 결과 이온화합물을 구성하는 양이온과 음이온의 종류와 전하량, 구성 개수를 알아내어 이온화 과정을 식으로 표현하는 지식상태가 구조화되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 효과적인 이온화식 학습 전략의 설계를 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

  • 아연산화광 황산침출액에 적용가능한 이온평형모델을 개발하기 위해 Vasil'ev식과 Pitzer식에 의한 해석방법을 비교하였다. 이온강도가 9 m정도로 증가할수록 Vasil'ev식보다는 Pitzer식에 의한 용액의 이온평형결과가 정확하였다. 아연산화광 황산침출액을 모사하기위해 $25^{\circ}C$에서 $ZnSO_4-Fe_2(SO_4)_3-Na_2SO_4-H_2SO_4-NaOH-H_2O$계에 대해 전해질의 농도를 변화시키며 혼합한 용액의 pH 측정값과 본 연구에서 계산한 pH값은 서로 잘 일치하였다.

  • Methylsulfate 음이온을 갖는 이미다졸리움계 이온성 액체들을 대상으로 이온성 액체에 녹는 이산화탄소의 용해도를 측정하고, 이온성 액체가 가지고 있는 양이온의 변화에 따른 용해도의 차이를 비교하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 methylsulfate 음이온을 가진 이온성 액체는 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methylsulfate ([emim][$mSO_4$])와 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium methylsulfate ([bmim][$mSO_4$])였다. 가변부피투시창(variable-volume view cell)이 장착된 고압용 상평형 장치를 사용하여 303.15 K에서 343.15 K까지 온도를 변화시키면서 여러 가지 조성을 갖는 이온성 액체와 이산화탄소의 혼합물의 기포점 압력을 측정함으로써 이온성 액체에서의 고압 이산화탄소의 용해도를 측정하였다. 이온성 액체에서 이산화탄소의 농도가 증가함에 따라 압력이 급격히 증가하였으며, 온도가 증가함에 따라 용해도는 감소하였다. 또한 이미다졸리움 양이온에 붙어 있는 알킬 체인의 길이가 길수록 높은 용해도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. Peng-Robinson 상태방정식을 사용하여 이온성 액체와 이산화탄소 혼합물 시스템에 대한 상평형 모델링을 수행하였다.

Temperature effect on multi-ionic species diffusion in saturated concrete

  • This study presents the mathematical model for predicting chloride penetration into saturated concrete under non-isothermal condition. The model considers not only diffusion mechanism but also migration process of chloride ions and other chemical species in concrete pore solution such as sodium, potassium, and hydroxyl ions. The coupled multi-ionic transport in concrete is described by the Nernst-Planck equation associated with electro-neutrality condition. The coupling parameter taken into account the effect of temperature on ion diffusion obtained from available test data is proposed and explicitly incorporated in the governing equations. The coupled transport equations are solved using the finite element method. The numerical results are validated with available experimental data and the comparison shows a good agreement.

  • In this study we have measured the activity coefficients of NaCl in solution by E.M.F. method, depending upon MacInnes' equation at 25 dog. The cell (electrodes) is same as MacInnes' except the cock which was designed by ourselves as figure 1.Additionally, we have calculated the hydration number of NaCl from the activity coefficients using Robinson's equation and ionic hydration number according to our new formula $\frac{n_M{^+}+0.8}{n_A{^-}-0.1}=n_{MA}$, which was mentioned our former thesis.We also have calculated the hydration number of some salts from the ionic hydration number using upper formula and have got reasonable series match with other's value.As the results of our studying, we conclude it as follow;1) Liquid junction potential depend only on the bulk concentration of the both solution.2) The formula $\frac{n_M{^+}+0.8}{{n_A{^-}}-0.1}=n_{MA}$ is reasonable one in deducing to ionic hydration number.3) From upper relation, we can calculate the hydration number of unknown salts from it's ionic hydration numbers.

염산용액에서 Bromley식을 이용한 염화니켈의 이온평형해석 (Ionic Equilibria Analysis of $NiCl_2$ in Chloride Solutions by Using Bromley Equation)

  • 화학평형, 물질수지 및 전기적 중성식을 고려하고 Bromley식으로 용질들의 활동도계수를 구하여 염산용액에서 염화니켈의 이온평형을 해석하였다. 본 연구에서 고려한 조성범위에서 니켈을 함유한 화학종의 대부분은 $Ni^{2+}$$NiCl^{+}$ 로 존재하고 니켈수산화물의 농도분율은 매우 낮으나, 용액의 pH가 증가함에 따라 $Ni_4$ $(OH)_{4}^{4+}$ 의 농도분율은 급격히 증가하였다. $NiCl_2$ $-HCl-NaOH-H_2$O 계에 대해 전해질의 농도를 변화시키며 $25^{\circ}C$에서 측정한 pH값과 계산값은 이온강도 9.4m정도의 범위까지 서로 잘 일치하였다.

이온풍을 이용한 유기용매의 건조 효율 향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on enhancement of drying efficiency of organic solvent using ionic wind)

  • 'Ionic wind' is phenomenon induced by corona discharge which occurs when large electric potential is applied to electrodes with high curvature. The ionic wind has advantage that it could generate forced convective flow without any external energy like separate pump. In this study, 'pin-mesh' arrangement is utilized for experiments. First, optimization of configuration is conducted with local momentum of ionic wind behind the mesh. Empirical equation for prediction about velocity profile was derived using the measured results. Secondly, the enhancement of mass transfer rate of acetone with ionic wind was analyzed. Also, the drying efficiency using a fan which has same flow rate was compared with ionic wind for identification of additional chemical reaction. At last, the drying process of organic solvent was visualized with image processing. As a result, it was shown that the use of ionic wind could dry organic matter four times faster than the natural condition.

불포화 폴리에스터의 경화에 따른 유전특성 연구 (Dielectric Characterization of Unsaturated Polyester Curing)

  • The thermal and dielectric properties of unsaturated polyester resin system during cure were analyzed under Isothermal conditions. Both $varepsilon$′ and $varepsilon$" decreased and dipole relaxation was observed under isothermal conditions during cure. The ionic conductivity decreased linearly with the conversion according to the Kienle-Rate equation (ln($varepsilon$"$_{ionic}$we$_{0}$)=C$_{r}$$alpha$+C$_{0}$) up to $alpha$=0.15, after which it aparted from the relationship due to the entanglement of polymer chains. The effect of ionic conductivity was revealed to be larger than that of dipole motion during the whole cure through the electrical modulus analysis. Although dielectric motion was analyzed with Debye model, it was observed only at a narrow time region of middle stage of cure. In order to estimate the dielectric properties during the whole cure, the Havriliak-Negami model was considered and modified with the strong effect of ionic conductivity. The changes of $varepsilon$′ and $varepsilon$" were well estimated with this modified Havriliak-Negami model.

  • The microwave dielectric properties of the complex perovskite (Pb0.5Ca0.5)(Fe0.5Ta0.5)O3 ceramics were investigated with the porosity and the dielectric mixing rule. Assuming that the specimens were mixtures of real dielectrics and pores, with 3-0 connectivity, the ionic polarizabilities modified by Maxwell's equation were more close to the theoretical values rather than those modified by Wiener's equation in porous specimens. The theoretical dielectirc loss were obtained with the infrared reflectivity spectra from 50 to 4000cm-1, which were calculated by Kramers-Kronig analysis and classical osciallator model. The relative tendency of dielectric loss calculated from the theoretical value and Maxwell's equation in the specimens with different porosities was in good agreement with the one by the post resonant method.

Evaluation of the Effective Charge Density on Low Pressure Nanofiltration with the Separation Characteristics of Monovalent and Divalent Solutes in the Production of Drinking Water

  • The electric charge on a membrane was investigated by analyzing the experimental rejection of various monovalent and divalent ionic solutes. The characteristics of the separation of ionic solutes using various nanofiltration membranes were obtained from an experimental nanofiltration set-up, with a surface area of $40cm^2$ under the operational pressures between 0.25-0.3 MPa. The state of the membrane electric charge was observed using separation coefficients, i.e., the permeation ratio of monovalent to divalent ions. To confirm the state of the membrane charge observed via the separation coefficient, a calculation using the extended Nernst-Planck equation, coupled with the Donnan equilibrium, assuming different electric charge states of the membrane, was compared with the experimental rejection of ionic solutes. The examination of the characteristics of separation using three types of nanofiltration membranes showed that one of the membranes carried a negative/positive double charge density inside, while other two membranes carried either a positive or negative charge density.
