C-N코팅 SCM415강의 마찰$\cdot$마모 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the friction and Wear Characteristics of C-N Coated SCM415 Steel)

  • This study deals with the friction and wear characteristics of C-N coated SCM415 steel. The PSII(plasma source ion implantation) apparatus was built and a SCM415 test piece with steel substrate was treated with carbon nitrogen by this apparatus. The composition and structure of the surface layer were analyzed and compared with that of PVD(physical vapor decomposition) coated TiN layer. It was found that both of friction coefficient of C-N coating and TiN coating decreased with increasing load, however, C-N coating showed relatively lower faction coefficient than that of TiN coating. The micro-vickers hardness of C-N film is 3200 Hv, which is $32\~43\%$ higher than that of TiN film. The critical load of C-N film is 52N, which is $25\%$ higher than that of TiN film. The hardness of C-N film fabricated by Plasma ion implantation is $61\~70\%$ higher than that of base material, and faction coefficient is $14\~50\%$ lower than that of base material. It is also interesting to note that the friction was changed from adhesive wear mode to light oxidizing wear mode.

  • 현재 리튬이온전지의 음극 소재 활물질로는 흑연이 주로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 흑연의 최대 이론 용량이 $372mA\;h\;g^{-1}$으로 제한되기 때문에 차세대 고용량 및 고에너지 밀도의 리튬이온전지 개발을 위해서는 새로운 음극 소재 활물질이 필요하다. 여러 음극 소재 활물질 중에서 Si의 최대 이론 용량은 $4200mA\;h\;g^{-1}$으로 흑연의 최대 이론 용량보다 약 10배 이상 높은 값을 나타내고 있지만 부피 팽창율이 거의 400%로 크기 때문에 사이클이 진행될수록 비가역 용량이 증가하여 충전 대비 방전 용량이 현저히 감소하는 현상을 나타내고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 Si 음극 소재 활물질의 입자 크기를 조절하여 기계적 응력 및 반응상의 체적 변화를 감소시켜 사이클 특성을 다소 향상시킬 수 있다. 따라서 Si 입자의 부피 팽창율에 따른 충전 및 방전 용량의 감소를 최소화하기 위해 공정 시간 및 원가 절감이 우수한 건식 방법으로 Si을 분쇄하여 사이클 특성 향상에 관한 연구를 진행 하였다. 본 논문에서는 진동밀을 이용하여 Si을 나노 크기로 제어하고 실험 변수에 따른 재료들의 물리화학적 특성과 전기화학적 특성을 측정하였다.

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Zinc Iodide in the Sodalite Cavities of Zeolite A (LTA)

  • The crystal structure of ZnI2 molecule synthesized in zeolite A (LTA) has been studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. A single crystal of |Zn6|[Si12Al12O48]-LTA, synthesized by the dynamic ion-exchange of |Na12|[Si12Al12O48]-LTA with aqueous 0.05 M Zn(NO3)2 and washed with deionized water, was placed in a stream of flowing 0.05 M KI in CH3OH at 294 K for four days. The resulting crystal structure of the product (|K6Zn3(KI)3(ZnI2)0.5|[Si12Al12O48]-LTA, a = 12.1690(10) A) was determined at 294 K by single-crystal X-ray diffraction in the space group Pm3m. It was refined with all measured reflections to the final error index R1 = 0.078 for 431 reflections which Fo > 4σ (Fo). At four crystallographically distinct positions, 3.5 Zn2+ and nine K+ ions per unit cell are found: three Zn2+ and five K+ ions lie on the 3-fold axes opposite 6-rings in the large cavity, two K+ ions are off the plane of the 8-rings, two K+ ions are recessed deeply off the plane of the 8-rings, and the remaining a half Zn2+ ion lie on the 3-fold axes opposite 6-rings in the sodalite cavity. A half Zn2+ ion and an I- ion per unit cell are found in the sodalite units, indicating the formation of a ZnI2 molecule in 50% of the sodalite cavities. Each ZnI2 (Zn-I = 3.35(5) A) is held in place by the coordination of its one Zn2+ ion to the zeolite framework oxygens and by the coordination of its two I- ions to K+ ions through 6-rings (I-K = 3.33(8) A). Three additional I- ions per unit cell are found opposite a 4-ring in the large cavity and form a K3I2+ and two K2ZnI3+ ionic clusters, respectively.

  • Alismatis Rhizoma has been used as diuretics and antiphlogistics in the Chinese oriental medicine. A trypsin inhibitor was isolated from Alismatis Rhizoma using DEAE ion exchange column, trypsin affinity column, and FPLC chromatography, and its activity and characteristics were studied. The purifed Alismatis Rhizoma trypsin inhibitor (ARTI) was estimated to be about 22 kDa. The sequence determination on N-terminal amino acid residues and 84 amino acid residues has been completed, yet no homology has been found with trypsin inhibitors reported at NCBI. ARTI did not show inhibitory activities on chymotrypsin and elastase, however it exhibited a significant inhibitory activity on bovine trypsin, and formed a complex with rat liver 10-formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase.

  • A single-crystalline epitaxial film of GaAs has been grown on Si using a gs assisted-ionized vapour beam eptaxial technique. The native oxide layer on the silicon substrate was removed at 550$^{\circ}C$ by use of an accelerated arsenic ion beam, instead of a high-temperature desorption. During the growth the substrate temperature was maintained at 550$^{\circ}C$. Transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction data suggest that the GaAs layer is an epitaxially grown single-crystalline layer. The possibility of growing device quality GaAs on Si is able demonstrated through fabrication of GaAs MODFET on Si substrates.

이온음료 제조를 위한 동치미의 최적 담금 조건에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Optimum Fermenting Conditions of Dongchimi for Production of Ion Beverage)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 이온음료 제조를 위한 동치미 최적 담금 조건을 설정하고자 각 담금 조건 소금농도 2.0, 2.4%, 숙성온도 0.5, $10^{\circ}C$에 따른 동치미액의 성분 분석을 행하였다. pH 감소속도 및 총산도는 동치미의 숙성온도가 높을수록 빠른 증가경향을 나타내었으며 유기산은 lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid가 검출되었고, 그 중 lactic acid 생성량이 가장 많았으며 succinic acid는 $0^{\circ}C$ 숙성 말기에 미량 검출되었다. 젖산균은 염도에 관계없이 숙성초기에 증가하다가 감소하는 경향을 나타내었고 젖산균이 증가하는 기간에 lactic acid 함량도 증가하는 경향을 나타내어 젖산균수와 lactic acid 함량 변화는 일치하는 경향을 보여주고 있다. 휘발성 성분은 3-methyl pentane, ethyl thioethene, 2,3-diaza-indolizine, dimethyl disulfide 등으로 추정되었다. 이온 음료 제조를 위한 최적 담금 조건은 비휘발성 유기산이 최대로 검출되는 최적 숙기인 pH 4.2~3.9, 산도 0.1~0.4에 이르는 동치미로 $0^{\circ}C$에서 24~29일, $5^{\circ}C$에서 9~12일, $10^{\circ}C$에서 16~22 숙성시킨 동치미를 최적 담금조건으로 설정하고자 한다.

Isotope-Dilution Mass Spectrometry for Quantification of Urinary Active Androgens Separated by Gas Chromatography

  • Cross reacting antibodies can cause an overestimation of the results of immunoassays. Therefore, alternative methods are needed for the accurate quantification of steroids. Gas chromatography combined with isotope-dilution mass spectrometry (GC-IDMS) is developed to quantify urinary active androgens, testosterone, epitestosterone and dihydrotestosterone, which are clinically relevant androgens to both hair-loss and prostate diseases. The method devised involves enzymatic hydrolysis with $\beta$-glucuronidase, solid-phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction using methyl tert-butyl ether and subsequent conversion to pentafluorophenyldimethylsilyl-trimethylsilyl (flophemesyl-TMS) derivatives for sensitive and selective analysis in selected-ion monitoring mode. Flophemesyl-TMS derivatization not only eliminates matrix interference but also has a good peak resolution within a 6 min-run. A selective and sensitive GC technique with flophemesyl-TMS derivatives also allows accurate quantitative analysis of three active androgens when combined with IDMS. The limit of quantification of the three analytes was <50 pg/mL, and extraction recoveries ranged from 91.9 to 102.1%. The precision and accuracy were 1.2~6.5% and 89.0~106.7%, respectively. This GC-IDMS method can be useful for evaluating the drug efficacy and monitoring the biological processes responsible for male-pattern baldness and prostate diseases.

Measurement of Carbon-14 Activity in Spent Ion-exchange Resin of Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant

  • Measurement of spent resin activity was initiated in 2004 in order to develop the C-14 removal technology for safe disposal. As part of this program, spent resins were sampled and measured in the in-station resin storage tank 2 at Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1. At the time of sampling, the resins had been in storage tank from 3 to 23 years. Total 72 resin samples were sampled, which were collected from both man-hole (68 samples) and test-hole (4 samples) in the in-station resin storage tank 2. They were separated into liquid, activated carbon, zeolite, and spent resin. The spent resins were oxidized with sample oxidizer and analyzed for C-14. Ten of collected mixed resin samples were separated by density into cation and anion resins using a sugar solution. The C-14 concentration in anion exchange resin was approximately 2 times higher than in the mixed resin. The average concentration of C-14 in the cation/anion mixed exchange resin was $460\;GBq/m^3$ from test-hole and $53.1\;GBq/m^3$ from man-hole. We have found that concentration of C-14 in the spent resin is about from 0.4 to $1,321\;GBq/m^3$. So it could be a problem, when dispose of at a repository, since there is a disposal limit of $222\;GBq/m^3$. This means we should develop the C-14 removal technology.

영화 스토리와 관객 감성반응과의 상관성에 대한 연구 (Correlation between Stories and Emotional Responses for American Movies)

  • 영화를 감상하는 동안 관객들은 각기 다양한 감성 반응을 보인다. 슬퍼하고 분노하며, 기뻐하고 화를 내는 등의 감성 반응이 영화가 전개되는 스토리에 따라 나타난다. 영화 전개에서 벌어지는 상황과 사건 등에서 관객이 보인 감성반응이 무엇인지를 뇌파 측정을 통해 알 수 있다. 이것을 연구하기 위해 연구 대상으로 각 장르를 대표하며, 흥행에 성공하여 많은 사람들에게 알려진 미국 영화 4편을 선택하였다. 어드밴처 장르의 <내서널트래저>, 애니메이션 장르의 <토이스토리3>, 액션 장르의 <아이언맨1>, 드라마 장르의 <블라인드사이드>이다. 이들 영화의 감성반응을 측정하기 위해 뇌파의 PPG를 중심으로 4개 경우를 설정하여 시계열 그래프 패턴으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 그래프에 나타난 감성반응이 스토리 전개와 밀접한 상관성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 향후 영화 제작할 때, 특히 스토리를 어떻게 구성하여 전개시켜 나갈 것인가 할 때 장르 선택에 도움을 줄 것이고, 관객들의 감성을 유도해 내는 데도 도움을 줄 것이라고 기대한다.
