Industry Secret Information Leakage Prevention : Focus on the Utilization of IoT (기업의 산업기밀정보 유출예방에 관한 연구: 사물인터넷 활용을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine possibilities of industry secret information leakage through IoT devices and to prevent information leakage from the perspective of administrative and technique security. From the administrative security perspective, first, it is important to face the possibility of industry information data leakage through anyone who can access companies and should establish guidelines to limit the use of IoT devices when entering companies. Second, security management guideline should be prepared by companies or upon user's request and use of any electronic devices sharing wireless internet connection should be eliminated or restricted. From technique security perspective, channels that sharing IoT devices in computers should be controlled since industry secret information are stored in computers and servers. Furthermore, IoT devices that accessing wireless internet network or devices that already registered should be regularly checked in order to minimize any information leakage. Lastly, data and information stored in computers and servers should be encrypted.

  • 사물인터넷은 모든 사람과 사물이 인터넷을 통해 서로 소통하고 새로운 가치를 창출할 수 있는 기술이며, 정보의 확산, 연계, 활용을 가능하게 하는 중요한 연결고리이다. 인지 IoT는 이러한 사물인터넷 인프라와 함께 인공지능 기술을 활용하여, 사물이 스스로 생각하고 판단하며, 보다 잘 연결하고 더 똑똑해지도록 하는 사물지능 실현 기술이다. 본고는 인간 두뇌의 기능을 모방하여 인식, 행동, 인지 능력을 재현해내는 대표 인지 컴퓨팅 기술인 IBM 왓슨, 딥 러닝, 뉴로모픽칩 기술을 요약하며, 또한, 사물수준 지능 실현 사례인 IBM 쿼크, CISCO DMo와 D3의 개발 현황을 소개한다.

  • Various kinds of devices are used for the Internet of Things (IoT) service, and IoT devices mainly use communication technology that uses the frequency of the unlicensed band. There are several types of communication technology in the unlicensed band, but WiFi is most commonly used. Devices used for IoT services vary in computing resources from devices with limited capabilities to smartphones and provide services over wireless networks such as WiFi. Most IoT devices can't perform complex operations for network control, thus they choose a WiFi access point (AP) based on signal strength. This causes a decrease in IoT service efficiency. In this paper, an intelligent AP system that can efficiently control the WiFi connection of the IoT devices is implemented. Based on the network information measured by the IoT device, the access point learns using a feed forward neural network algorithm, and predicts a network connection state to control the WiFi connection. By controlling the WiFi connection at the AP, the service efficiency of the IoT device can be improved.

  • 각종 사물에 네트워크 기능이 탑재되어 초연결 통신으로 연결되는 사물인터넷(IoT, Internet of Things) 기술이 급속히 확산됨에 따라, 최근에는 그 사물 자체가 지능화되어 지능형 스마트 사물로 진화하고 있다. 기기들이 자신을 구별할 수 있는 유일한 IP를 보유하면서 사물인터넷에 연결되어, 모든 기기가 해킹의 대상이 될 수 있어 보안적인 측면에서도 취약하게 되었다. 본고에서는 최근들어 급증하는 초연결 네트워크 환경과 사물인터넷에 대하여 알아보고, 초연결 환경에서 보안 위협에 대응하는 사물인터넷 보안 기술에 대한 연구와 표준화 동향, 그리고 사물인터넷 보안 위협에 대응하는 보안 기술의 방향을 알아본다.

  • Internet of Things (IoTs) technology makes every things in physical world being digitalized and communicated with each other. The technology is emerging as a new paradigm and is expected to provide a convenient and effective life. However, for the successful realization of the IoT technologies, IoT security issues are an important prerequisite, and particularly the privacy protection is expected to become more important in view of object communication directively related with human. In this paper we describe for the security and privacy threats in IoT environment and introduce the shodan (a legitimate search engine that finds backdoor routers, switches, webcams, IoT devices connected to the Internet etc.) that can expose the security and privacy problems. Lastly, we compare the privacy threats through real-world case study of network cameras currently in use and finally derive the countermeasures for the threats.

  • 본 논문에서는 표준 기반 사물인터넷 (IoT: Internet of Things) 플랫폼을 활용한 음성 제어 시스템을 구현하고 그 성능을 검증한다. 사물인터넷 산업 표준인 원엠투엠 (oneM2M) 오픈 소스 플랫폼을 활용하여 음성으로 댁내 기기를 제어할 수 있는 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하였다. 음성 기반 제어를 위해 구글의 Speech-to-Text API를 활용하고 오픈 소스 하드웨어에 원엠투엠 플랫폼을 탑재하여 어디서든지 서버 플랫폼에 연결된 댁내 가전기기들을 제어할 수 있음을 보였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템을 통해 표준화된 오픈 소스 플랫폼과 클라우드 음성 인식 API를 활용하여 확장성과 연결성을 갖춘 커넥티드 홈을 구현할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

  • IoT(Internet of Things) is a concept of connected internet pursuing direct access to devices or sensors in fused environment of personal, industrial and public area. In IoT environment, it is possible to access realtime data, and the data format and topology of devices are diverse. Also, there are bidirectional communications between users and devices to control actuators in IoT. In this point, IoT is different from the conventional internet in which data are produced by human desktops and gathered in server systems by way of one-sided simple internet communications. For the cloud or portal service of IoT, there should be a file management framework supporting systematic naming service and unified data access interface encompassing the variety of IoT things. This paper implements a DB-based virtual file system maintaining attributes of IoT things in a UNIX-styled file system view. Users who logged in the virtual shell are able to explore IoT things by navigating the virtual file system, and able to access IoT things directly via UNIX-styled file I O APIs. The implemented virtual file system is lightweight and flexible because it maintains only directory structure and descriptors for the distributed IoT things. The result of a test for the virtual shell primitives such as mkdir() or chdir() shows the smooth functionality of the virtual file system, Also, the exploring performance of the file system is better than that of Window file system in case of adopting a simple directory cache mechanism.

  • Raspberry Pi has been widely used for a hardware platform to develop the Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The basic task of diverse IoT devices is to obtain their status or environmental information by using various sensors and to send them to a gateway or a remote server. For the purpose, one of application layer protocols for IoT, MQTT is widely used. IoT devices are often powered by batteries and they are required to operate for a long time without replacing or recharging their batteries. Thus, energy efficiency is one of the most critical problems for obtaining and sending sensor data. To develop energy-efficient IoT applications, the information about power consumption characteristics of the applications is necessary. However, there has been little study to analyze power consumption of IoT communication on IoT devices. This paper presents a study to measure and analyze the power consumption of sending/receiving data under various conditions via the MQTT protocol on Raspberry Pi.

IoT-based Indoor Localization Scheme (IoT 기반의 실내 위치 추정 기법)

  • This paper is about IoT(Internet of Things)-based indoor localization scheme. GPS and WiFi are widely used to estimate the location of things. However, GPS has drawback of poor reception and radio disturbance in doors. To estimate the location in WiFi-based method, the user collects the information by scanning nearby WiFi(s) and transferring the information to WiFi database server. This is a fingerprint method with disadvantage of having an additional DB server. IoT is the internetworking of things, and this is on rapid rise. I propose the IoT-based indoor localization scheme. Under the proposed method, a device internetworking with another device with its own location information like GPS coordinate can estimate its own location through RSSI. With more devices localizing its own, the localization accuracy goes high. The proposed method allows the user to estimate the location without GPS and WiFi DB server.

  • A recent issued Internet of Things (IoT) is based on the service that everything around us is exchanging the information and reacting upon these information. These IoT services are mainly dealing with the information that was generated by the information nodes of IoT networks such as sensors, where the way how the information from information nodes should be dealt with is very important in terms of service reliability in IoT networks. This paper introduces a new scheme for service reliability and energy efficiency that is reducing the energy consumption of actuator node reacting upon the request messages from the information nodes in IoT networks.
