실험의 의미 재고를 통한 현상중심의 실험교육의 필요성 제안 -이언 해킹(Ian Hacking)의 현상의 창조를 중심으로- (Proposal for Phenomena-based Experimental Education through Reconsidering the Meaning of Experimentation: Based on Ian Hacking's Creation of Phenomena)

  • 본 연구에서는 이언 해킹(Ian Hacking)의 실험 철학에 대한 철학적 관점을 탐구하고 이 관점이 학교 실험 교육에 미칠 영향에 대한 논의하였다. 그간 다수의 철학자들은 실험이 이론을 검증할 때에만 중요하다는 이론 선행적인 관점을 주장하였다. 이와 마찬가지로 학교 교육에서도 실험의 주요 목적은 이론의 확인과 입증에 초점을 맞춘 관점이 주류를 이룬 것으로 보인다. 그러나 이러한 이론 선행적인 관점과는 대조적으로 해킹을 포함한 실험 철학자들은 실험 자체가 자율성과 생명력을 갖는다는 주장을 제안하였다. 해킹은 개입하기와 조작하기를 통해 실험의 이론 자율적인 성격을 강조하면서 실험에서 그동안 상대적으로 간과되었던 도구 사용, 재료, 과학자의 솜씨와 같은 요소들의 중요성을 강조하였고, 과학 활동에서의 실험의 역할과 그의 중요성을 재고하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 철학적 입장이 학교 실험교육에도 적용할 수 있는 것으로 보았으며, 본 연구에서 제시하는 현상중심의 관점을 통해 도구 사용, 실험자의 개입, 모델링 활동과 같은 과학적 실천을 가르치는 데 도움이 될 것으로 예상한다.

Study on the Influence of Evaluation of Brain Psychological Distance by Brand Memory Types

  • In this paper, it is to identify the effects of differences in interpretation levels depending on the type of brand association and the brain psychological distance on the evaluation of the product of that brand through two experiments. To test our hypotheses empirically, we conducted online survey. We addressed the hypotheses involving the general and relative impact of actual and ideal self-congruence on emotional brand attachment (H1) and explored the effect of product involvement as the moderating variable (H1-1 and H1-2). The goal of this research was to validate the results from involving our basic model and to explore the impact of two additional moderating variables (self-esteem and public self-consciousness: H2). We followed the same procedure. This finding is theoretical to the extent of the interpretation level theory in brand association research by applying the interpretation level theory to the brand association, and provides the meaning that, in practice, it is necessary to utilize the message of different types of brain psychological distance depending on the brand association characteristics that the brand has in defining the brand. In particular, it was confirmed that functional brand associations and symbolic brand annals have representational harmonization, respectively, depending on the low and high levels of interpretation levels.

페이스북에서의 프라이버시 패러독스 현상 연구 : 듀얼팩터이론을 중심으로 (Investigating the Privacy Paradox in Facebook Based on Dual Factor Theory)

  • People use social network services (SNSs) for various purposes, for example, to share information, to express themselves, and to strengthen social relationships with others. Meanwhile, problems of personal information leakage and privacy infringement become a social issue and thus information privacy concerns about inappropriate collection and use of personal information increase in SNSs (e.g., Facebook). Although people have privacy concerns in SNSs, they behave in a contradictory way, voluntarily presenting themselves and disclosing personal information. This phenomenon is called 'privacy paradox'. Using dual factor theory, this study investigates the phenomenon of privacy paradox by looking into enablers (e.g., self-presentation) and inhibitors (e.g., information privacy concern) for continuous use of Facebook that can co-exist independently of each other. It also includes antecedents of self-presentation (i.e., narcissism, need for affiliation, involvement, and self-efficacy) and those of information privacy concern (i.e., previous experience of privacy infringement, privacy awareness, and privacy control). The results show that most hypothesized relationships were supported. These findings provide strategic implications for SNS providers who want to promote continuous use of SNS. Under the current circumstances in which enhanced privacy policies are required, this study would be a useful reference for future research on information privacy issues in SNSs.

3단계 공급사슬게임을 위한 협조적 게임이론의 적용 (Cooperative Game Theory Application for Three-Echelon Supply Chain)

  • Fair Allocation of profits or costs arising from joint participation by multiple individuals or entities with different purposes is essential for their continuing involvement and for their dissatisfaction reduction. In this research, fair allocation of the profits of forming a grand coalition in Three-Echelon Supply Chain (TESC) game that is composed of manufacturer, distributor and retailer, is studied. In particular, the solutions of the proportional method of profit, the proportional method of marginal profit, and Shapley value based on cooperative game theory are proved to be in the desirable characteristics of the core. The proportional method of profit and the proportional method of marginal profit are often used because of their ease of application. These methods distribute total profit in proportion to profits or marginal profits of each game participant. In addition, Shapley value can be defined as the average marginal profit when one game player is added at a time. Even though the calculation of the average of all possible marginal profits is not simple, Shapley value are often used as a useful method. Experiments have shown that the solution of the incremental method, which calculates the marginal cost of adding game players in the order of manufacturers, distributors and retailers, does not exist in the core.

XBRL Adoption Process in Malaysia Using Diffusion of Innovation Theory

  • The study examined the XBRL adoption process of Malaysian Business Reporting System (MBRS) by utilizing Everett Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory. The study focused on the three phases, namely, knowledge gathering and persuasion phase, decision-making phase, and implementation phase of XBRL adoption process gathered from a government agency in Malaysia. This study employs a qualitative case study that incorporates semi-structured interviews with four members of the regulator. The results reveal that the regulator has realized the advantages, management support, and need to skills development in phase one. On the other hand, in phase two, it finds the way the regulator makes decision related to XBRL taxonomy and submission template, platform, tools and software. Through phase three, the regulator is concerned with the complexity of XBRL taxonomy, resources, external support, promotion, stakeholder involvement, limited trading pressure, critical mass, and professional bodies. The factors from each phase suggest an in-depth understanding on the experience of XBRL through the development of MBRS that provides a success story to the other government agencies and regulators in Malaysia. This study provides several insights on the factors that could contribute to the adoption of XBRL and the Diffusion of Innovation theory adoption process.

학령기 아동의 손상 예방행동 영향 요인 분석 (Exploring the Factors Associated with Injury Prevention Behavior among School-Age Children Using the Theory of Planned Behavior)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the injury prevention behaviors of school-age children using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and sought to identify the associated factors. Methods: A sample of 199 students in Grades 3 to 6 and their parents participated in the study. Measures were used to assess injury prevention behaviors, intentions, and parental influence. The data were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. Results: The findings showed that a stronger intention toward injury prevention behavior, living in an urban area, and higher involvement of parent's to prevent injuries were significantly associated with higher levels of injury prevention behaviors among the children. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of intention, parental influence, and urban residence in promoting injury prevention behaviors among school-age children. The findings suggest the need for tailored interventions targeting these factors to promote prevention of injuries among children. Further research is needed to develop comprehensive strategies to prevent injuries in this population.

병원근무자의 직장애착에 관한 연구 -한 인과모형의 검증을 중심으로- (Organizational Commitment of Hospital Employees -Testing a Causal Model in Korean Hospitals-)

  • A causal model of organizational commitment on the basis of Western literature was tested with a sample of 1,164 employees from two university hospitals in Korea. The model contains three groups of determinants : environmental variables(job opportunity, spouse support, and parent support), psychological variables(met expectations, work involvement, positive affectivity, and negative affectivity), and structural variables(job autonomy, work unit control, routinization, supervisor support, coworker support, role ambiguity, role conflict, workload, resource inadequacy, distributive justice, promotional chances, job security, job hazarda, and pay). The data were colleted with questionnaires and analyzed with the LISREL maximum likelihood method. It is found that (1) the following variables, listed in order of size, have significant total effects on organizational commitment : job satisfaction, met expectations, supervisor support, job security, routinization, job opportunity, negative affectivity, work involvement, distributive justice, and promotional opportunity, (2) the model explains fifty-nine percent of the variance in organizational commitment, and (3) the link with expectancy theory is justified by the results for met expectations. Two conclusions can be drawn from these findings. First, the model of organizational commitment appears to be generalizable to Korean hospitals. Second, the model of organizational commitment should include such theoretical variables as environmental, psychological, and structural factors.

디지털 지식상품의 가격수용도와 구매인지부조화 영향요인에 관한 연구 (Factors Influencing the Price Acceptability and Cognitive Dissonance for the Purchaser of Digital Knowledge Goods)

  • Digital knowledge and information goods as experience goods have some unique characteristics such as close to zero reproduction and distribution cost, high price volatility, and low price acceptability. For the reasons, the pricing policies of digital knowledge goods are very difficult and complicate. Also, most consumers of digital goods have experienced cognitive dissonance after buying decision. The purpose of this paper is to investigate what factors affect the price acceptability level and cognitive dissonance of digital knowledge goods buyers. This paper suggest a structural model that was established by the cognitive dissonance theory and S-O-R(Stimulus-Organization-Response) model. The model is consisted of four exogenous variables and three endogenous variables. The empirical test and statistical analysis suggest following results and practical implications. The variables such as product involvement and perception of price fairness that have positive roles to price acceptability have strong influence on the all the three endogenous variables. But the variables such as sale proneness and price mavenism that have negative roles to price acceptability have little influence on the all the three endogenous variables. In the model, the payment intention was very important mediating variable between exogenous variables and two dependent variables, ie. price acceptability and cognitive dissonance. These results imply that the digital knowledge portals must have some differentiated pricing policies to the customers who have price consciousness and price mavenism. Also, they need some special promotions to whom have positive attitude to the value of digital goods.

Qualitative Content Analysis: Employee Performance based on Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation

  • Purpose: Intrinsic motivation can be affected by external factors and may not always be present in an employee. This study aims to shed light on the role of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in driving employee performance and to determine which type of motivation has a greater impact on performance. Additionally, the research seeks to understand the impact of motivation on different employee characteristics, such as age, gender, and job tenure. Research design, data and methodology: The present author has obtained textual data from the current literature dataset, However, focusing on mostly journal articles and published books because it could provide the justification of reliability and validity and help to collect solid previous studies which is logically categorized themes. Results: The findings of the present research are divided into four differences (Difference in Job Satisfaction, Difference in Job Involvement, Difference in Organizational Commitment, and Difference in Turnover Intention), each focusing on one aspect of employee performance: job satisfaction, job involvement, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Conclusions: Organizations can use the differences in employee performance based on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to improve employee performance by recognizing the importance of intrinsic motivation, providing opportunities for employees to experience intrinsic motivation, and balancing extrinsic and intrinsic motivation.

온라인 쇼핑몰에서의 외부정보탐색노력에 대한 영향요인에 관한 연구 (The Study of Influence Factors on External Information Search Effort in Online Shopping Malls)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 쇼핑몰을 이용하는 소비자의 외부정보탐색노력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 정보경제학적 관점, 심리적 관점, 웹사이트 이론 관점으로 구분하여 탐색하였으며, 세 가지 이론을 통합하는 통합모델을 설계하였다. 통합 모델을 실증 분석한 결과, 온라인 쇼핑몰을 이용하여 제품을 구매하는 소비자의 외부정보탐색노력정도는 탐색동기, 탐색이익 등에 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 검증되었다. 한편 탐색동기는 탐색이익, 구매관여에 의하여 영향을 받는 것으로 검증되었다. 그리고, 탐색이익은 구매관여, 구조적간결성, 탐색의 편리성, 신뢰성에 직접적인 영향을 받으며, 탐색비용은 구매관여, 시간압박성, 구조적 간결성, 탐색의 편리성, 신뢰성에 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 온라인 쇼핑몰의 관리에 대한 이론 및 관리적 시사점들을 제안하였다.
