  • 영상콘텐츠 디자인 분야에서 합리적이고 이성적인 미의 구현에 있어서 일반적으로 수행하고 있는 구체적인 실체가 있는 가시적 영역의 디자인에서 벗어나 탈물질화 시대의 가상 공간인 비가시적 영역의 연구를 통하여 가시적 디자인으로 구상해내고, 전자공간에서 만들어지는 영상그래픽 들의 내포 의미와 새로운 감각을 얻을 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 한다. 특히 물질 사회에서는 전자기파와 같은 눈에 보이지 않는 현상은 공간에 실존함에도 불구하고 개념적인 대상으로 다루어지곤 했는데 이러한 기존의 제한된 관점에서 벗어나 비가시적인 영역에 대한 디자인의 물리적ㆍ시적ㆍ미학적 경험에 대한 디자인 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이러한 이론적 근거로 프랙탈디자인 분야에서 사운드와 리듬, 칼라와 이미지의 적용으로 인한 새로운 디자인에 대한 가능성을 확보하고자 한다.

Evaluation of the characteristics of the reflection plate to measure defects in the invisible area using infrared thermography

  • Defect inspection system for industrial applications takes the important portion. Non-destructive inspection method has been significantly improved. Infrared thermography, as one of method for non-destructive inspection, can provide relatively precise data and quick inspection time. This study, it was performed to measure defect according to the measurement limit of the non-visible areas such as the back surface of the pipe using reflection plate using reflection plate based on Infrared thermography. The materials of the reflection plate were determined in consideration of the space limitation and the thermal characteristics, and defects were detected by the manufactured reflection plate. Detection of defect in non-visible area using the candidate materials for reflection plate was conducted.

디지털 동영상 어플리케이션의 향상된 보안성을 위한 비시각적인 워터마킹 (Invisible Watermarking for Improved Security of Digital Video Application)

  • 디지털 비디오 워터마킹의 성능은 디지털 비디오에서 많은 정보를 은닉하는 방법에 대한 평가이다. 그러므로 디지털 컨텐츠에 대한 주파수 영역의 고화질의 동영상에 많은 비트의 데이터를 저장하는 방법이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 워터마크 요소 중 강인성과 비시각성 사이의 절충을 통해서 동영상의 프레임에 대해 휘도 성분을 추출한 후 웨이블릿 변환을 수행하여 LH와 HL 부대역에 워터마크를 내장하고 비시각적인 워터마크 기반의 강인한 워터마크를 통해 향상된 워터마크의 보안성을 위한 워터마크 시스템을 설계한다. 워터마크의 보안성에 대한 성능의 분석은 통계적인 방법을 사용하여 비시각적인 워터마킹에서의 다양한 공격에 대한 강인성을 평가한다. 실험 결과에 따르면 노이즈 추가, 손실 압축, Low-Pass 필터링과 같은 일반적인 신호 처리를 수행하여 워터마크 강인성과 비시 각성을 평가하였고, 다양한 공격에 대한 워터마크의 보안성을 검증할 수 있었다.

Mobile Robot Exploration in Indoor Environment Using Topological Structure with Invisible Barcodes

  • This paper addresses the localization and navigation problem in the movement of service robots by using invisible two dimensional barcodes on the floor. Compared with other methods using natural or artificial landmarks, the proposed localization method has great advantages in cost and appearance since the location of the robot is perfectly known using the barcode information after mapping is finished. We also propose a navigation algorithm which uses a topological structure. For the topological information, we define nodes and edges which are suitable for indoor navigation, especially for large area having multiple rooms, many walls, and many static obstacles. The proposed algorithm also has the advantage that errors which occur in each node are mutually independent and can be compensated exactly after some navigation using barcodes. Simulation and experimental results were performed to verify the algorithm in the barcode environment, showing excellent performance results. After mapping, it is also possible to solve the kidnapped robot problem and to generate paths using topological information.

  • The NDT(Non-Destructive Testing) is valid fur the defect detection of rolling stocks because it can be used to detect defects in invisible places. For example, in case of wheelsets fatigue cracks are initiated in the wheel seat that suffers from fretting fatigue damage. But the conventional ICFPD method can not be applied to detect such cracks in press-fit area of the axle by some technical problems. In this study, we introduced a new ICFPD (Induced Current Focusing Potential Drop) method that can be applied in press-fit area of the axle. And we performed the finite element analysis of the new ICFPD method using measured electromagnetic properties of the wheel and axle. It seems that our approach is very useful f3r the detection of defects in invisible places.

Structural Design of Cheongna City Tower

  • Cheongna City Tower is a 448-meter-high rise observatory tower with 8.7:1 aspect ratio located at central lake park in Incheon Cheongna international city. The tower is a crystal shaped image and it turns invisible when the façade is activated. The tower was planned to be hexagonal 30-story building with two basements which are composed of mega frame structure using mega column and mega brace. In order to minimize the wind effect, the blow-through area was installed so that the wind can pass through. This observatory tower is an unprecedented project since the whole building is covered by façade for invisibility effect.

Navigation Performance Analysis Method for Integrated Navigation System of Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

  • Currently, the operation of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is regulated to be able to fly only within the visible range, but in recent years, the needs for operation in the invisible area, in the urban area and at night have increased. In order to operate UAVs in the invisible area, at night, and in the urban area, a flight path for UAVs must be prepared like those operated by manned aircraft, and for this, it is necessary to establish an unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM). In order to establish the UTM, information on the minimum separation distance to prevent collisions with UAVs and buildings is required, and accordingly, information on the navigation performance of UAVs is required. In order to analyze the navigation performance of an UAV, total system error (TSE), which is the difference between the planned flight path and the actual location of the UAV, is required. If the collected data are insufficient and classification according to integrity, independence, and direction is not performed, accurate navigation performance is not derived. In this paper, propose a navigation performance analysis method of UAV that is derived TSE using flight data and modeled with normal distribution, analyze performance.

티어심 파손 강도를 고려한 동승석 에어백 도어시스템의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Passenger Airbag Door System Considering the Tearseam Failure Strength)

  • Invisible passenger airbag door system of hard panel types must be designed with a weakened area such that the side airbag will deploy through the instrument panel as like intended manner, with no flying debris at any required operating temperature. At the same time, there must be no cracking or sharp edges in the head impact test. If the advanced airbag with the big difference between high and low deployment pressure ranges are applied to hard panel types of invisible passenger airbag (IPAB) door system, it becomes more difficult to optimize the tearseam strength for satisfying deployment and head impact performance simultaneously. It was introduced the 'Operating Window' idea from quality engineering to design the hard panel types of IPAB door system applied to the advanced airbag for optimal deployment and head impact performance. Zigzab airbag folding and 'n' type PAB mounting bracket were selected.

  • 본 논문은 WBAN(Wireless Body Area Network) 환경에 기반한 스마트 오브젝트(Smart Object)의 개발에 대한 논문이다. 다양한 기능을 가진 컴퓨팅 디바이스를 장착한 스마트 오브젝트가 많이 개발되면서, 사용자에게 가중되는 소지품으로써의 수많은 기기, 도구들을 사용자가 하나하나 관리하기에는 역부족이므로, 이를 분류하고 관리함으로써 사용자는 단순히 자신들이 가진 스마트 오브젝트의 기능만을 활용하게 해주는 스마트 오브젝트의 개인 네트워크 화하는 기기의 필요성이 증대된 가운데, 이러한 형태의 오브젝트를 개발함에 있어 어떠한 기술들이 필요하고 어떠한 요소들을 갖춰 설계 해 나가야 할지에 대한 최적화된 설계 기준을 분석하고 개발 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
