  • As develop of civilization many structure and facilities will constructed forever scientifically and systematically. The prerequisite of those construction have been behaved with plan and investigation of field. When investigation method that ground of distribution and character for many structure are various, many parts of various method have been conducted by the boring method in order to condition, distribution and character for ground. And indirected method of ground investigation data have been interpolated, various methods have been conducted in method of interpolation. Therefore, in this study, we would estimate efficiency that accuracy according to interpolation using the data of ground information by comparable unique density.

The High Temperature-Moisturizing Method for Obtaining Quality Postmortem Fingerprints from Decomposed Fingers

  • A fingerprint is an impression of the friction ridges of all or any part of the finger. A friction ridge is a raised portion of the epidermis on the palmar (palm and fingers) or plantar (sole and toes) skin, consisting of one or more connected ridge units of friction ridge skin. There are two fundamental principles underlying the use of fingerprints as a means of identifying individuals - immutability and uniqueness. Friction ridges develop on the fetus in their definitive form before birth. Ridges are persistent throughout life except for permanent scarring. Ridge patterns and the details in small areas of friction ridges are unique and never repeated. Friction ridge patterns vary within limits, which allow for classification. We developed the high temperature-moisturizing method to obtained quality postmortem impressions from decomposing friction ridge skin. This technique is a simple procedure that uses boiling water to recondition the skin. This reconditioning process enhances detail present on the fingers and exposes ridge detail not visible to the naked eye. Therefore, we can recover the quality fingerprints, even from the worst decomposed bodies.

사고분석 사례를 통한 사고기록장치 개선방안에 대한 고찰 (Study on the Improvement of Event Data Recorders through Accident Analysis)

  • This study was initiated to improve of the defect investigation method using event data recorders (EDR) and suggested a solution through the regulation and system analysis of EDR. The EDR data has been used for various purposes such as the vehicle defect investigation and the traffic accident investigation. However the EDR regulation has not been updated since the implementation in 2012. "Trigger Threshold" can be used to analyze a single accident such as the frontal crash, the side crash, and the rollover. In the case of a complex accident in which a rollover accident and a crash accident occur simultaneously, it is difficult to analyze a complex accident due to current "Trigger Threshold". This study proposed the method of separating the "Trigger Threshold" into a crash accident and a rollover accident so that accidents can be analyzed using the EDR data even when a complex accident occurs. In addition, it proposed the improvement method to quickly use the data of EDR in accident reconstruction software.

Comparison of Systemic Accident Investigation Techniques Based on the Sewol Ferry Capsizing

  • Objective: This study aims to survey and compare three systemic accident investigation techniques of Accimap, STAMP and FRAM, based on the application studies of the Sewol ferry accident. Background: Traditional accident investigation methods such as domino models, FTA, etc. work well for losses caused by physical component failures or actions of human in relatively simple systems, but are unable to depict mechanisms generating errors and violations in the current complex socio-technical systems. For better understanding the structure and behavior of the socio-technical systems, systemic techniques have been developed and used. Method: This study was mainly based on survey of literatures through surfing webpages of ScienceDirect and Google, and ergonomics relevant journals. The key words of Sewol, Sewol ferry, Sewol ferry accident, etc. were used in the survey. Results: Three systemic accident investigation methods included similar actors in the Sewol ferry accident including government, Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries, Korean Coast Guard, Korean Register of Shipping, Korea Shipping Association, Chonghaejin Marine Company, crew members. The methods graphically represented each level's failures or performance variabilities of relevant functions and relationships between them. It was shown that the systemic methods consider the entire system, ranging from the environment in which the accident occurred, to the role of government in shaping the system of work. Each method has its own comparative pros and cons, but the Accimap has advantages in terms of time of analysis, data required, model complexity and degree of comprehensiveness. Conclusion: This study reviewed and compared three systemic accident investigation methods, which showed that there are systemic characteristics and pros and cons in the methods. Application: The results would be used as a guideline when selecting accident investigation methods.

  • It is considered to pressing problem that the develpment of the rapid and simple method and measuring instrument, can evaluate for quality of concrete at early period. Accordingly in this paper proposed to earlier evaluation method on quality of concrete using resistance method and ultra-sonic pulse velocity test. It was found to the possibility of development on test method and instrument through a series of fundmental investigation.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a application procedure and survey method for the empirical diagnostic indices system. In order to know the survey method, which has 65 investigation items for 52 indicators, this study not only presented so that the each survey items could be surveyed in at least 1 to 3 steps, but also presented the 4 survey method for each investigation items: preliminary survey, administrative survey, field survey, and interview survey. As a result of applying to 15 sample villages, the period of surveying a village of 100 households was 1.4 days, and it was confirmed that the survey was generally efficient in a short time. As a result of applying the survey system to the sample village, the developed survey system showed the possibility of investigating even the details of rural villages. Therefore, it was judged that it could be used as a basic procedure for a rural village unit survey.

  • 본 자원탐사의 중요성이 증대되고 있는 상황에서, 효과적인 자원탐사방법의 최적설계 및 탐사자동화가 중대 관심사가 되고 있다. 본 연구는 수치적인 모델링의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 현장의 환경을 하드웨어적으로 재현한 탐사환경 축소모형 로봇 시스템을 제안한다. 종래의 이동로봇 시스템을 개량하여 케이블카용 로봇시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 로봇의 자장 노이즈를 극소화시키고, 자장 그레디언트의 현장 측정 재현을 통하여 효과적인 설계지침을 제공한다. 또한 케이블카형 이동방법은 이용하여, 험지에서 탐사 자동화등에 활용될 수 있다.

  • Paraquat(methyl viologen) is a bis-quaternary ammonium compound as a wide range herbicide. which was first introduced as an oxidation-reduction indicator dye. When paraquat(fatal dose. 1-2g) was administered to men, the oxido-reduction system of cell was repeatedly acted to perpetuate the cell membrane system, Many death cases had been occurred after ingestion of paraquat around Daejon area for the last six months.   • In recent years there has been a steady increase in geoenvironmental engineering projects where geotechnical engineering has been combined with environmental concerns. Many of these projects involve some investigation on contaminant and leachate flume in the ground and landfill. In this study, investigation on leachate around the waste landfill was carried out to detect the leaked and contaminated area. Many techniques such as geophysical, drilling and sampling method were applied. As a result of this study, the concentration of leachate and the point of leachate leaking around landfill were found out, and countermeasures for cut-off of leachate flow from landfill were investigated.
