Objective: The aim of this study is to suggest some improvement ideas based on the validity and the reliability analyses of the current safety culture measurement method applied to the Korean nuclear power industry. Background: Wrong safety culture is known as one of the major causes of the disasters such as the space shuttle Columbia disaster or the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant accident. Assessment of safety culture of an organization is important to build a safer organizational environment as well as to identify the risks hidden in the organization. Method: A face validity of the current safety culture measurement method was analyzed by comparison of the key factors of safety culture in the Korean nuclear power industry with those factors reviewed in the previous studies. The current interview method was analyzed to identify the problems which degrade the consistency of evaluation. Results: Most safety culture factors reviewed in the literatures are covered in the list of the Korean nuclear power industry safety culture factors. However the unstructured questions used in the interview may result in inconsistency of safety culture evaluation among interviewers. Conclusion: This study suggests some examples which might improve the consistency of interviewers' evaluation on safety culture such as a post interview evaluation form. Application: An extended post interview evaluation form might help to increase the accuracy of the interviewing method for Korean nuclear industry safety culture evaluation.
Background : Hospitals(Health care providers) are under tremendous pressure to meet consumer demands in order to compete in the rapidly changing health care arena. Through evaluating patient satisfaction, hospitals(health care providers) can learn what the consumer Wants from the health care system. Timely feedback is necessary. The purpose of this study is to evaluate patients' hospital experience and satisfaction using telephone interview and to study the usefulness for telephone interview at assessing patient satisfaction. Method : The 846 patients who were discharged from September 17, 1996 to October 11, 1996 were targeted were telephoned. The informations gathered telephone survey were processed by computer and analyzed for the patient satisfaction, contributing factors. Result : The 846 patients who were discharged from September 17, 1996 to October 11, 1996 were called and 197 patients(23.3%) were successful interviewed. 51.3 percent of respondents were male and mean age is 39 years mean LOS(length of stay) is 13 days and 110(56.1%) patients were admitted by outpatients clinic. The mean calling-time is 5.5 minutes. There is no significant difference between interviewers(telemarketer) in patients satisfaction. Seven telephone interviews are possible by interview a day. There in no significant difference between groups in patients satisfaction in length of stay, path of admission, the interval between discharge and interview. 97.5 percent of respondents were satisfied with telephone interview and 81.7% were satisfied with overall satisfaction and 79.4 % of respondents were good response in interviewers' conclusion. Of six variables that were found to be correlated with telephone interview and eight variables correlated with overall hospital satisfaction, a multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that two most important variables which are significantly correlated with telephone interview are to meet doctors, not ask tediously then three variables which are with overall satisfaction are doctors explain, subject response, convenient facilities. Conclusion : The patients interviewed are satisfied with telephone interview. Telephone interview is good method for assessing patient satisfaction, making high levels of patient satisfaction and for hospital marketing.

This study aims to provide philosophical frameworks and approaches, and practical guidelines to interview research. While there are some studies which focus on the practical guidelines, there is a lack of studies which address the philosophical and conceptual issues integral to qualitative interview research. By discussing three different but related philosophical aspects of qualitative interviewing--phenomenology, hermeneutics, and dialectics--consistency among research purpose, research method, research methodology is pursued. Based on this discussion, four stages of interviewing--designing, conducting, analyzing, and writing of qualitative interview research--are presented.
This study was designed to identify a more effective method of nursing interview in gathering informations by comparing the two, the structured and unstructured methods. May through October, 1976, 40patients on psychiatric wards of Korea University Hospital and National Mental Hospital, Seoul, were sampled and interviewed on their admission/within one week of admission. Both methods were used simultaneously by different interviewers ; 48 hour interval were kept between the two approaches of interview. Contents of informations gathered were grouped according to the criteria developed by the researcher, frequency, percentile score and the means were scored, and the two methods were compared; the amount of information gathered, number of questions used, time spent and the general response towards the methodologies. Results of the study are summarized as follows ; 1. 1. 5 times as many informations were gathered through the structured interview. (1366 ; 849) 2. 68.32% of informations gathered through the unstructured interview and 42.46% of the structured interview revealed to be overlapping; through structured interview, more unique informations (57.54%) were gathered. 3. The average of 33.25 minutes were consumed for the structured interview while 95, 50 minutes for the unstructured. Much higher time consumption is revealed in the unstructured. 4. Majority of patients showed positive response towards both approaches of interview (90% each), however, interviewers responded to experience of certain degree of tension (stress) in the unstructured method (35%) 5. The average of 0.88 question were used to gather one information in the structured while 1.87questions for the unstructctured were used. 6. The average of 0.97 minutes were consumed to gather one information in the structured while 4.50minutes for the unstructured. 7. The average of 1.11 minutes were consumed for one question for the structured while 2.41 minutes for the unstructured. The results of the study revealed that the structured interview were more effective in gathering informations; a larger quantity of informations were gathered in shorter time. Recommendations for further in investigations are as follows ; 1. Comparative analysis of informations gathered through the two methods by experienced professional nurse- interviewers is recommended. 2. Comparative analysis of the quality of informations is recommended. 3. Comparative analysis of the interviewing process (interactions) in relation to the characteristics of patients'health problems is recommended.

In this paper, the necessity of AI video interview arises when conducting an interview for acquisition of excellent talent in a non-face-to-face situation due to similar situations such as Covid-19. As a matter to be supplemented in general AI interviews, it is difficult to evaluate the reliability and qualitative factors. In addition, the AI interview is conducted not in a two-way Q&A, rather in a one-sided Q&A process. This paper intends to fuse the advantages of existing AI interviews and video interviews. When conducting an interview using AI image analysis technology, it supplements subjective information that evaluates interview management and provides quantitative analysis data and HR expert data. In this paper, image-based multi-modal AI image analysis technology, bioanalysis-based HR analysis technology, and web RTC-based P2P image communication technology are applied. The goal of applying this technology is to propose a method in which biological analysis results (gaze, posture, voice, gesture, landmark) and HR information (opinions or features based on user propensity) can be processed on a single screen to select the right person for the hire.

Objectives: This article describes the effectiveness of, and student satisfaction with, the medical interview course. Methods: In the years 2010 and 2011, forty-two students took the medical interview course at the School of Korean Medicine, Pusan National University. The evaluation of the course was conducted using student questionnaires. Results: The students believed that learning medical interview skills was very helpful, and there was an increase in the number of students who thought they could improve their skills by learning the medical interview course contents. Also, they have come to feel that 'building a relationship' is the most important skill in the medical interview process. We used experiential teaching methods such as doctor-patient role-playing, and the students rated that method better than others. In addition, the students responded that the appropriate time to take a medical interview course is in the middle of a clinical practice. They also thought that the current credit value of the course was appropriate. Moreover, the students wanted to add some specific contents about specialized communication skills for Korean medical treatment. Conclusions: The medical interview course received a favorable evaluation from the students who finished the course. Among the course contents, they were most concerned with building the doctor-patient relationship. Also, they preferred experiential teaching methods more than didactic methods. The current timing and credit value of the medical interview class was evaluated as appropriate, and the students felt that communication skills specific to Korean medical treatment need to be taught. Therefore, we conclude the medical interview course is important and is worth considering as an independent course.

This research was done to gain the health information in one of the target areas(rural area) of the Korea University Community Health Project, and to improve and standardize the methodology of the health interview survey. There were two types of questions;one was the simple open-ended question and the other was check list in the interview survey for a total of 1,406 inhabitants. And so the result obtained from the above survey was analysed. The results as follows; 1) The morbidity rate in general was 11.2% by simple open-ended question and 32.5% by check list during recent 20 days in interview method. 2) Women had higher morbidity rate in both kinds of method. 3) The most prevalent diseases in the interview method using check list were the ones of the musculo-skeletal system and connective tissue (22.5%), and diseases of the respiratory system (19.8%) and digestive system (13.7%) were in order of frequency. 4) By the position in the family, housewives had highest morbidity rate in the interview method unrespectedly, and the reason seemed that the respondents were houseweives themselves and the morbidity rate was the one by spell not by person. But morbidity rate by the socio-economic status had no significant difference in both methods. 5) The agreement rate on simple open-ended question and check list was 72.5%, but if limiting respondents themselves only, the rate was falled to 54%. 6) The morbidities were diverse in the review of the results of previous morbidity surveies, but the morbidity rate was higher and less variable in case of using check list and getting the replies individually than using simple open-ended question and proxy respondents.

In this study, we propose a statistical model based on projection that generates interview scores. In this model, each interviewee's true score and its related variable are viewed as X, Y values respectively in the two dimensional plane, and each interviewer's score is the projected score of true score X to the axis rotated by some angle, which reflects the interviewer's perspective. Each interviewer's observed interview score is obtained by adding personal bias and observed error to this projected score. We compared commonly used standardizing methods of interview scores such as trimmed mean method, rank method, and z-score method based on the proposed statistical model. In this simulation, two types of interview methods, two numbers of interviewers, two degrees of interviewers' expertise and two distributions and three correlations between actual score and its related variable are all considered.
Today's young generation users are very active in expressing themselves through smart phones, form networks in this cyber space and express their identities freely. Therefore, this study aims to investigate how young people in their 20s are expressing themselves through smart phones and the differences from the attempt of self-expression in the existing cyber space. The research method was an in-depth interview, which was a qualitative research method, aimed at people in their 20s, so that they could freely talk about their thoughts and feelings. In-depth interviews are useful for users' psychological and in-depth analysis of behavior.
Objective : The purpose of this study is to assess the communication and medical interview level of the students in the college of korean traditional medicine using Standardized Patients(SP). Method : 35 students of 5th grade in the college who are doing their clinical practice class participated and conducted medical interview on standardized infertile female patient. SP and professor who observed the interview evaluated the students' communication skill and medical interview level using the assessment sheet composed of 23 questions. Results : 1. Satisfaction of SP was 1.66 of 3. In the communication section, students conducted well in appropriate voice and no inappropriate interruption but they didn't show good practice in considerate physical examination, understandable explanation relatively. 2. The scores that were acquired by students in informing the time required, obtaining agreement at initiating and closing, family history taking, checking mental status and physical examination 2 were low in the medical interview section. 3. There were some differences in the communication and medical interview scores by the students' sex (p<.01), age(p<.05) and medical camp experience(p<.05). But we couldn't find any evidence about the relation between character type and the communication and medical interview scores(p>.62). Conclusion : On the whole, students who participated this study had difficulties in building relationship with patient and conducting medical interview. They need to improve their ability in those fields by appropriate education before their graduation.
