This thesis is the result of conducting an analysis to find the solution to the phenomenon of power stoppage due to the disconnection of a CT (Current Transformer) because of vibration. The CT which measures the most essential current is used in power industries as part of a generator protection relay. When it comes to the bottom plate of a CT, nonconductor; such as bakelite and laminates; these material elements should be used because it is impossible to utilize the conductor when measuring the current of a generator which carries a high current if you use other materials. These nonconductor's material properties are irregular and interpretation errors often occur because the weight is light. In addition, since the change of dynamic characteristics which are related to the temperature often occur, it is important to match the real situation by considering an error of interpretation rather than selecting the quality of the material. Lastly, the conclusion that the study drew is that it is possible to avoid the resonance by utilizing three changes to the components to solve the problem concerning the high vibration which is caused by non-conductive objects. These changes are the most crucial points in this thesis: First, material changes to the Plate. Second, weight changes to the Coil. Third, thickness changes to the Plate.

This study aimed to investigate the high school students' conceptions about the plate tectonics through visual representation. For this purpose, the subjects were 67 students in 11th-grade high schools in Chungbuk. In order to in-depth understand the students' conceptions about plate tectonics, so the investigator conducted a semi-structured interview. The conclusions were as in the following. After learning the plate tectonics, the students had the alternative conceptions associated with terminology, colors' meanings, plate-related melting, plate's movement, plates' boundaries, mantle's physical conditions, driving forces for plate movement, and they had the organic relations about colors' meanings, mantle's physical conditions, and driving forces of plate movement. Also, the visual representation used to teach plate tectonics influenced on the students' responses about terminology, plates' boundaries, plate-related melting and the mantle's physical features, also this study found the factors of visual representation causing the learners to create alternative conceptions. These results implicated the importance of teacher's role in identifying the students' interpretation process on visual representation, and it needed to improve the factors creating students' alternative conceptions about visual representation and to study the factors further.

This study is undertaken for the vibration analysis of tapered thick plate with concentrated mass on elastic foundation. The boundary condition of the plate is analyzed with the 4-sides simply supported and 4-fixed basis. This study find out the frequency following the change in size for each foundational variable on Pasternak foundation, one of the two-parameter elastic foundation parameter that considered the shear layer to the Winkler foundation parameter. The concentrated mass is applied with the consideration of mass of the entire plate, and the change of frequency is studies on each location with the consideration of reacting for the three locations for concentrated mass. And, in order to find out the change of frequency on the thickness of the plate, it considered tapered ratio that linearly changes depending on the length of the plate with the thickness of the plate in x-direction, and the tapered ratio has changes with 4 types ($\alpha$=0.25, 0, 5, 0.75, and 1.0). For the interpretation, the program using finite element method (F.E.M.) is used and the element coordination is used the 8-node serendipity element. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of plate vibration under the mechanica vibration or external vibration factor to facilitate as the basic data of the design to secure the stability.
Highly accurate surface velocity estimation using modern geodetic techniques plays very important role in the geological and geophysical interpretation. Researches with GPS are ongoing in many countries of the world. This study aims to estimate the amount of crustal deformation and the direction of deformation in the Korean Peninsula and in its neighbor. We used GAMIT that is a comprehensive GPS analysis package developed at MIT. Then, a Global Kalman filter called GLOBK is used to combine the results from GAMIT and to estimate the relative and absolute velocity vector for the crustal deformations. To estimate station velocity accuracy and reliably, it is extremely important to pay great attention to the reference frame. Firstly, using the Suwon (SUWN) of Eurasian plate as main frame, we estimate the relative amount of crustal deformation and a direction of Eurasian plate and North American plate, Secondly, using ITRF 2000 as main frame, we estimate the absolute crustal deformation of Eurasian plate and North American plate. The continent of Eurasian where has the Korean Peninsula deforms 33.36 mm per year to East-Southeast (ESE), and Japanese Tsukuba (TSKB) in North American plate deforms to South-Southwest (SSW). Finally, the Korean Peninsula is approaching the Japanese Island and the rate of horizontal crustal deformation between the Suwon and the Tsukuba is about 31.98 mm per year in the moving direction of N85.9oW (274.1o) for the past three years.
From the research which it sees verification of the whole interpretation and local interpretation of the durability steel deck bridge a static test and it produces the test body which it sells with character and it executes smallness pul lek detailed interpretation it leads and the appropriate characteristic of smallness pul lek detailed interpretation and to sleep a nominal stress price and it compares it judges it does. The stress quality from each structure region which it follows in load stock location it analyzes and from the hazard which evaluates, the objective region the length rib and the bottom grater weld zone, the length rib and width rib connection department and the width rib with the father it divided. It investigated the stress distribution of the test body from these objective location, FEM interpretation it led and the conduct against each structure state tax it analyzed. General conduct the load stock location the floor plate is located in the center with interpretation price together symmetry characteristic to seem, it cannot be like that it cannot there is one actual test price. Like this reason the length rib and width rib connection actually production even production characteristic security it is a day when it is impossible with the curvature junction department which it blows, it follows in examination body deferment condition and form feed with the fact that it is visible a big difference even with error of some it becomes. Consequently for a data and the research which are more accurate it is judged with the fact that the effort which is prudent will be necessary.

This paper presents the analysis of the analysis of thrust characteristics of linear induction motors(LIMs) according to secondary reaction plate. LIMs are well known as high speed transport systems, which can obtain thrust directly without gears and links, or auxiliary mechanisms. A simple structure, easy maintenance, and less environmental pollution are advantages of LIMs. In transport systems using LIMs, the secondary reaction plate is an important design factor, because it has considerable impact on the cost of the railway as well as the performance of the LIMs. This paper deals analyzed the characteristics of linear induction motor used for moving the vehicle of container scanner. Thrust, efficiency and load characteristic were interpreted with FEM regarding two models whose material of secondary reaction plate was copper and aluminum. It suggested the interpretation of thrust, efficiency and power factor characteristic along slip and compared the operation ability of linear induction motor through characteristics analysis along the load.
Major cause of defects in steam generator tubes at nuclear power plant is the accumulation of magnetite and other byproducts of corrosion in the crevice gap between support plates and tubes. Since damaged tubes result in contamination of the secondary coolant by the radioactive primary coolant, they represent a safety hazard. Early detection of magnetite buildup is, therefore, imperative in order to take remedial measures such as chemical flushing. Although the eddy current testing is being used for the inspection of steam generator tubes, the interpretation of resulting signals is generally a difficult task. This paper uses the phase of sensor coil emf as the test signal to find a way of easier signal interpretation. Numerical study using FEM shows that the shape of resulting signal is good for identifying the relative position of the probe to the support plate, and for discreminating the different shapes and degrees of magnetite buildup in the crevice gap region.
The area where age dating of the seafloor and interpretation of geomagnetic basic structure are conducted is also important in the aspect of geophysics. Near the sea mount (water depth to the top is 3900m and 6500m to the bottom), there are Mesozoic magnetic lineations at the sea-side flank along the trench axis. A two dimensional model analysis of Talwani and Heirtzler(1964) and a three dimensional model analysis of Talwani are performed by using data obtained from the marine proton magnetometer. Distribution, direction of the lineation, amplitude and period of magnetic anomaly are correlated and analysed with speed of the plate movement and lineation of the sea mount. In the west and north-west Pacific there are lots of huge sea mounts retaining the history of oceanic crust. This indicates that geomagnetic basis subsided into the oceanic crust and has interest in the aspects of the isostasy theory of the gravity.
Composite skew plates are aesthetically appealing light weight structural units finding wide applications in floors and roofs of commercial buildings. Although bending and vibration characteristics of these units have received attention from researchers but the domain of first and progressive failure has not been explored. Confident use of these plates necessitates comprehensive understanding of their failure behavior. With this objective, the present paper uses an eight noded isoparametric finite element together with von-Kármán's approach of nonlinear strains to study first ply and progressive failure up to ultimate damage of skew plates being subjected to uniform surface pressure. Parameters like skew angles, laminations and boundary conditions are varied and the results are practically analyzed. The novelty of the paper lies in the fact that the stiffness matrix of the damaged plate is calculated by considering material degradation locally only at failed points at each stage of first and progressive failure and as a result, the present outputs are so close to experimental findings. Interpretation of results from practical angles and proposing the relative performances of the different plate combinations in terms of ranks will be of much help to practicing engineers in selecting the best suited plate option among many combinations.

Since the days of yore, plate's flexural analysis and formulation were dependent on the assumed coordinate system. In uncovering the coordinates-independent flexural interpretation, in this study, the plate bending analysis has been interpreted in terms of the tensor's components of curvatures and bending moments, in accordance with the continuum mechanics. The paper herein presents the theoretical formulations and conceptual perspectives of the Hydrostatic Method of Analysis (HM) that combines the continuum mechanics with the elasticity theory; the graphical statics and analysis; the theory of thin isotropic and orthotropic plates.
