  • The purpose of this study is to obtain basic data for constructing a modeling practice program integrated with meta-modeling knowledge by analyzing the cognition level for each meta-modeling knowledge components through modeling practice in the context of the chemistry discipline content. A chemistry teacher conducted inquiry-based modeling practice including anomalous phenomena for 16 students in the second year of a science gifted school, and in order to analyze the cognition level for each of the three meta-modeling knowledge components such as model variability, model multiplicity, and modeling process, the inquiry notes recorded by the students and observation note recorded by the researcher were used for analysis. The recognition level was classified from 0 to 3 levels. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the cognition level of the modeling process was the highest and the cognition level of the multiplicity of the model was the lowest. The cause of the low recognitive level of model variability is closely related to students' perception of conceptual models as objective facts. The cause of the low cognitive level of model multiplicity has to do with the belief that there can only be one correct model for a given phenomenon. Students elaborated conceptual models using symbolic models such as chemical symbols, but lacked recognition of the importance of data interpretation affecting the entire modeling process. It is necessary to introduce preliminary activities that can explicitly guide the nature of the model, and guide the importance of data interpretation through specific examples. Training to consider and verify the acceptability of the proposed model from a different point of view than mine should be done through a modeling practice program.

  • This exploratory research was intended to develop and test a slacks pattern based upon conic model. Data came from measurements of photograph of three subjects. Silhouette of slacks was close fit on waist and hip and loose under hip level. This three-dimensional form was modeled with truncated cones. This conic model was truncated by plane of the waist level, the abdomen level, the hip level, the crotch level and the ankle level parallel to the floor. Two models that have differences in back part of the model were tested. Drafted patterns from two models were taken for each subject. Drafted experimental pattern was operated for slacks pattern. The first step was to make sideseam. Parts over crotch level were moved to both sides. And then to make waistdarts. Experimental pattern had two darts each in front and back. Each experimental slacks was evaluated by sensory test to appearance and comfort by five judges. The results can be summarized as follows. 1) Appearance and comfort of experimental pattern were judged to be satisfactory. Especially these patterns were fitted we18 in waist darts front and back. So we evaluated that was proper pattern for slacks. 2) Model 2 was better in appearance than model 1. But Model 1 was more comfortable in non significant difference. This was supposed to be resulted from fit more closely of model 2. 3) considering preceding results, this geometric model based upon truncated cone was applicable for slacks pattern.

  • The research interprets the principles of sampling error design for quality statistics models such as hypothesis test, interval estimation, control charts and acceptance sampling. Introducing the proper discussions of the design of significance level according to the use of hypothesis test, then it presents two methods to interpret significance by Neyman-Pearson and Fisher. Second point of the study proposes the design of confidence level for interval estimation by Bayesian confidence set, frequentist confidential set and fiducial interval. Third, the content also indicates the design of type I error and type II error considering both productivity and customer claim for control chart. Finally, the study reflects the design of producer's risk with operating charistictics curve, screening and switch rules for the purpose of purchasing and subcontraction.

  • Emitter injection efficiency of p+/n-buffer Junction with Gaussian impurity distribution is presented. This model takes into account the variation of the carrier lifetime with injection level which allows a unified interpretation of the injection efficiency for all injection level. The injected carrier density and injection efficiency of the anode are calculated as a function of the current density with the low level lifetime as a parameter for different thicknesses of the anode. The analytical results agree well with simulation.

  • In the three-level atom interacting with a single mode radiation field, two-photon excitation between the ground state and the upper most excited state is investigated. Using the resolvant theory, the effective resolvant, containing the ground state and the final excited state, is found and the coupling constant and the detuning being taken as parameters, the excitation mechanism is analyzed. In particular. by introducing an ensemble of effective two-level atoms, a consistent interpretation in terms of inteference phenomena is pursued. rsued.

  • Generally a road vehicle's wrong entry into level crossing gives rise to hazardous events, the eventual collision with a approaching train depends on the effective operation of safety barriers such a abnormal condition detecting or emergency braking. In this paper, the risk assessment models developed for the level-crossing accidents will be introduced. The definition of hazardous events and the related hazardous factors are identified by the review of the accident history and engineering interpretation of the accident behavior. A probability of the hazardous events will be evaluated by the FTA, which is based on the accident scenario. For the severity estimation, the critical factors which can effect on the consequence will be reviewed during the ETA. Finally, the number of casualty for the public(vehicle drivers) and the train passengers are converted into an equivalent fatality.

  • In order to investigate the dyeing property of poly trimethylene terephthalate(PTT) fabric, the dyeing of PTT fabric was carried at under condition of different dyeing temperature by using several disperse dyes with different energy level. Particularly, this study discussed the PTT dyeing thermodynamically. Used disperse dyes were selected based on the their chemical structure and energy level. The obtained results were as followings; The dye adsorption of S type disperse dye such as C. I. Disperse Blue 79 increased with increasing dyeing temperature. In a exhaustion rate of PTT fabric with disperse dyes, C. I. Disperse Blue 56 showed higher values than that of C. I. Disperse Orange 29 and Blue 79. For the interpretation of thermodynamic dyeing behavior, the partition coefficient ( K ) and some several thermodynamic parameters such as standard affinity$(-\mu^\circ)$ and heat of dyeing$(\Delta{H}^\circ)$ calculated from the adsorption isotherm. From above results, as the energy level of disperse dye is small, the partition coefficient and standard affinity increased. But the heat of dyeing of PTT fabric with disperse dye showed high negative value in order of E type(C. I. Disperse Blue 56), SE type(C. I. Disperse Orange 29) and S type(C. I. Disperse 79).

  • Confinement of charge carrier and exciton is the essential factor for enhancing the efficiency and stability of the electrophosphorescent devices. The interplay between the properties of emitters and other adjacent layers are studied based on the physical interpretation with difference of energy level, charge carrier mobility, and corresponding charge-trapping behavior.

  • The causes of liver disease in children and abnormal liver function test are more diverse than those in adult. Therefore, the first step to evaluate the liver disease is the understanding the liver disease and interpreting the appropriate liver function test in children. The characteristics of each test and various conditions which we encounter in outpatients settings will be discussed in this article, especially focused on elevation of aminotransferase level without identifiable causes.

  • The Bakseok of Geunjeongjeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace is platy floor stone acting as drainage, protected glaring and sliding. The Bakseoks were composed of anisotropic medium-grained biotite granite with a weak myrmekitic texture. Interpretation of transportation process for the Bakseok and original granite provenance trace of and analyze of identity based on ancient writings and detail field survey. As a result, the very similar granite with the Bakseok in lithology, composition mineral, texture and geochemical characteristics was found around Mt. Nakgasan in the Seokmodo Island. There were interpreted stonework process of the Bakseok used exfoliation granite dome with physical weathering properties in Seokmodo Island, to get platy stone economically stonework at the state level as a minimized on burden of supply and men power.
