The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference between female nurse and male nurse in female nurse by applying the phenomenological method of Colaizzi which is one of the qualitative research methodology and to analyze the difference between female nurse and male nurse. What is the difference between a male nurse and a female nurse perceived by a female nurse? This study investigated the differences between female nurses and male nurses with research problems. The participants in this study were 13 female nurses who agreed to participate in the study after explaining and understanding the purpose of the study. The recruitment of the subjects was applied by the snowball method. As a result of this study, five categories were found. The categories were different in clinical tasks, the burden of family economic life, differences in interpersonal relationships, differences in nursing organization, and differences in unknown areas. The results of this study can be used as teaching materials and research data to expand the understanding of difference between male nurse and female nurse.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between academic stress and e-learning intentions of university students, and to determine the moderating effect on the attractiveness of alternatives. Data collection was conducted from 18 May to 22 May 2020 using 317 questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using SmartPLS. As a result of the study, among the academic stresses of university students, stress due to class, grades, and interpersonal relationships has a relationship with the intention to use e-learning. However, the test stress did not have a significant effect on the intention to use e-learning, and the modulating effect on the attractiveness of the alternative was also not significant. This study suggests that various and attractive e-learning can be provided within the university by highlighting the importance of healthy university life and e-learning for university students.
In the elementary school period, since the developmental stage in the area of emotional regulation is immature, it is necessary to develop emotional regulation ability. In order to promote emotional regulation, this study provides an emotional regulation art class that utilizes the right brain function. Results were derived by analyzing through pre- and post-questions and post-interviews. As a result of the pre-post analysis, among the sub-elements of emotional regulation after class, 'Self-Emotion Recognition and Expression', 'Emotional Recognition and Consideration of Others', and 'Interpersonal Relationships' were statistically high. As a result of interview analysis, it was found that all students had a positive effect in the emotional regulation sub-item. As a result, they recognized and understood their emotions after class rather than before class, and had the effect of expressing emotions by purifying negative emotions into positive emotions. It is suggested that it is necessary to develop a program that applies various teaching and learning methods for emotional regulation art class in the future.
A smiling face usually has a positive effect on interpersonal relationships by delivering a warm impression. However, the stereotype content model and compensation effect between warmth and competence suggested that warmth perceptions caused by a smiling face could influence competence perceptions negatively. This study examined the negative impact of the advertising endorser's smile on purchase intention in an expensive product category by adopting the self-construal level. The study results showed that consumers with independent-self construal (vs. interdependent self-construal) showed a lower purchase intention when exposed to an ad containing an endorser's smile. In comparison, consumers with interdependent-self construal (vs. independent self-construal) showed a lower purchase intention when exposed to an ad without an endorser's smile. Thus, this study demonstrated a moderating role of self-construal in the relationship between advertising endorser's smile and purchase intention. These findings provide valuable theoretical and practical implications for effective advertising strategies in the expensive product category.
Purpose: The major objective of this study is to develop a model for the impact of franchisors' Gapjil (verbal·nonverbal Gapjil, abusing bargaining position, refusing transaction, false or exaggerated information, restrictive practices, unfair damage compensation) on franchisee's recontract intention. We also examine the mediating role of economic satisfaction and social satisfaction in the relationship between franchisors' Gapjil and franchisee's contract intention. Research design, data, and methodology: Data were collected from franchisee owners located nationwide in Korea. Out of 256 questionaires distributed, a total of 256 questionnaires were returned. After excluding 10 invalid respondent questionnaires, we coded and analyzed 246 valid questionnaires (effective response rate of 96.09%) using frequency, confirmatory factor analysis, correlations analysis, and structural equation modeling with SPSS 22.O and SmartPLS 3.0. Results: The findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, among the Gapjil of the franchisors, restrictive practices and unfair damage compensation had negative effects on economic and social satisfaction, but verbal and nonverbal Gapjil for economic and social satisfaction was not significant. Second, abusing bargaining positions and false or exaggerated information had negative effects on social satisfaction, but for economic satisfaction, found to be insignificant. Third, economic and social satisfaction had positive effects on the franchisee's recontract intention to the franchisor. Conclusion: The following implications of this study are as follows. First, the construct of Gapjil that occurs between the franchisors and the franchisees was first presented, and the franchisors' Gapjil is divided into interpersonal Gapjil and structural Gapjil. Second, the Gapjil of the franchisors can be an important predictor variable in maintaining and developing a long-term relationship between the franchisors and the franchisees. Third, solving conflict due to the Gapjil problem between franchisors and franchisees can be an important factor for franchisors and franchisees to co-survive and thrive in Korean franchise system. Fourth, this study suggest that managing the Gapjil of the franchisors was a important antecedent factor in maintaining long-term relationship between the franchisors and the franchisees. Therefore, this study will help franchisors formulate effective symbiotic marketing strategies to satisfy relationships with franchisees and consequently enhance long-term orientation.
This study deals with the influencing factors on flow and addiction perceived by users of Tiktok service, an SFV service platform that is expanding the market in the middle area between social media and OTT. As the number of Tiktok users increases, researchers thought that research on the cause of addiction would be necessary. Since media users lack media consumption time, they produce and share SFVs rather than long videos, and are affected by exogenous variables. In addition, attachment is divided into interpersonal relationships and attachment to services, and the path of attachment was confirmed to be connected to flow and addiction. Through this study, the researchers considered that there were theoretical and practical contributions in that the path leading to addiction of video media services was set and verified as self-exposure and attachment, flow and addiction. These research results can be applied to more diversified video-centered media services, and can be expected to be used for new media emerging in the future.
Background: Psychosocial risks are increasingly a type of risk analyzed in organizations beyond chemical, physical, and biological risks. To this type of risk, a greater attention has been given following the update of ISO 9001: 2015, more precisely the requirement 7.1.4 for the process operation environment. The update of this normative reference was intended to approximate OHSAS 18001: 2007 reference updated in 2018 with the publication of ISO 45001. Thus, the organizations are increasingly committed to achieving and demonstrating good occupational health and safety performance. Methods: The aim of this study was to characterize the psychosocial risks in a cryopreservation laboratory and to develop a predictive model for psychosocial risk management. The methodology followed to collect the information was the inquiry by questionnaire that was applied to a sample comprising 200 employees. Results: The results show that most of the respondents are aware of the psychosocial risks, identifying interpersonal relationships and emotional feelings as the main factors that lead to this type of risks. Furthermore, terms such as lack of resources, working hours, lab equipment, stress, and precariousness show strong correlation with psychosocial risks. The model presented in this study, based on artificial neural networks, exhibited good performance in the prediction of the psychosocial risks. Conclusion: This work presents the development of an intelligent system that allows identifying the weaknesses of the organization and contributing to the enhancement of the psychosocial risks management.
This study was conducted to identify the perceived stress, self-esteem and clinical practice stress of nursing students and how these variables affect clinical practice stress. Participants consisted of 164 nursing students who were in the third and fourth years who had experienced clinical practice at two nursing universtities located in Gyonganam and Jeonnam, and agreed to the survey. Data were collected using questionnaires form April 1 to April 30, 2021. Collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 Win statistics program with descriptive statistics, an t-test, ANOVA, scheffe's test, and multiple regression. The study found that clinical preactice stress was positively correlated with perceived stress but negatively correlated with self-esteem and the factors affecting clinical practice stress wre perceived stress, self-esteem, major satisfaction and interpersonal relationships and their explanatory power was 27.0%. This suggests that it is necessary to develop and apply a program to reduce perceived stress and improve self-esteem in order to reduce clinical practice stress of nursing students.
Objectives: The workplace is an ideal place for encouraging health-promoting behaviors. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to determine the effect of an empowerment program on the health-promoting behaviors of women workers. Methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted with 80 women workers employed at a food packaging facility in 2020. The subjects were selected using convenience sampling and were classified into intervention and control groups using block randomization. An empowerment program for women workers was conducted across 6 sessions based on an empowerment model. Data collection tools included a demographic questionnaire and the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile-II, which participants completed both before the program and 8 weeks after the last session. Data analysis was performed in SPSS version 16 using descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Results: There were no significant differences between the 2 groups in various health-promoting behaviors before the program. However, the intervention group's scores for nutrition (34.92±1.09 vs. 27.87±4.23), physical activity (24.40±2.94 vs. 17.40±5.03), stress management (26.35±2.60 vs. 23.05±4.27), spiritual growth (34.02±3.00 vs. 30.22±5.40), interpersonal relationships (30.82±2.38 vs. 27.60±4.61), and health responsibility (31.60±2.71 vs. 28.22±4.59) were significantly higher than the control group's 8 weeks after the program had ended. Moreover, there was a significant difference in the total score of health-promoting behaviors for the intervention group compared to the control group (179.00±9.22 vs. 151.42±20.25, p=0.001). Conclusions: An empowerment program for women workers led to significant improvements in the health-promoting behaviors of the participants. Similar programs can ultimately improve women's health in the workplace.

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the effects of health science majors' communication skills on their adjustment to college life. Methods : The subjects were 336 college students majoring in health science at colleges located in Busan. The survey's questionnaire comprised 38 items, including 15 items for communication skills and 19 items for adjustment to college life. Results : In the gender-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, female students had better communication skills, with overall higher scores than male students for the understanding others and communication. In the age-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, students aged 21 to 22 showed the best communication skills, while students aged 18 to 20 exhibited the least communication skills. In terms of adjustment to college life, those aged 25 or older scored the highest, and those aged 21 to 22 scored the lowest. In the school-year-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, third- and first-year students showed the best and least communication skills, respectively. Overall, third- and fourth-year students were more adjusted at adjusting to college life than first- and second-year students. Third-year students also scored the highest in academic adjustment, whereas second-year students scored the lowest. In terms of relationships between the students' communication skills and their adjustment to college life, communication skills were positively correlated with the following subdomains: understanding of others, self-expression, and communication. Communication skills also showed a positive correlation with adjustment to the college environment, including personal-emotional adjustment. Conclusions : The present study found that communication skills did not significantly affect health science majors' adjustment to college life. However, given that communication skills are an essential factor for effective work performance and greater job satisfaction, it is recommended that colleges provide students with relevant education and experiences to help them enhance communication skills while in school.
