In this paper, we present an intelligent digital controller circuit which can be applied to automatic voltage regulation. The proposed solid state transformer with Pspice simulation model shows that our approach is very efficient and produces the desirable output. It is comparable to an ordinary magnetic coupled autotransformer.

Currently, most of Passenger Service System is supported to VOD in Korea. This current PSS has not internet access, real time broadcasting system and entertainment. The system did not come up to the expectation of consumer. Due to the recent advances in high-speed communication technologies as well as the easy production of high-quality video contents, IPTV is becoming increasingly popular. Meanwhile, as the number of IPTV channels increases, channel search time to find the desired channel keeps increasing. In this paper, we discuss how to improve the channel search latency in IPTV, and introduce caching and prefetching techniques that are widely used in memory management systems. Specifically, we adopt memory replacement, prefetching, and caching techniques in IPTV channel search interfaces and show the effectiveness of these techniques as the number of channels are varied.

In this paper, we define EMRA-based USN metadata to describe sensor device, sensor node, and sensor network information at the application level. And the proposed method for effectively storing and retrieving USN metadata based on EMRA uses agent technology. As the sensor metadata proposed in this paper is based on SensorML, interoperability can be maintained in the USN environment, and the metadata management system can be directly utilized for metadata management in USN middleware or applications.

Interval caching is one of the representative caching strategies used in multimedia streaming systems. However, there has been no theoretical analysis on interval caching. In this paper, we present an optimality proof of the interval caching policy. Specifically, we propose a caching performance model for multimedia streaming systems and show the optimality of the interval caching policy based on this model.

For Wi-Fi and IoT wireless systems, high-capacity wireless communication technology is being applied using MIMO OFDM. Because of virtu0al subcarriers in the practical MIMO OFDM system, the pilot subcarriers cannot be spaced equally. Thus, it is difficult to obtain a good mean square error (MSE) performance of the channel estimate. This paper proposes applicable methods and the newly discovered locations of pilot subcarriers in four transmitted antennas resulting in a good MSE performance with proposed optimization algorithms.

According to the actual situation of a university, the emergency evacuation simulation is modeled based on the physical sign, evacuation speed and personnel ratio using the pathfinder software.The experimental construction export utilization rate is compared with the preliminary simulation scenario. The simulation results show that the utilization rate of evacuation stairs and evacuation exits is significantly improved.The optimized solution can provide the most effective evacuation passage, and the research results can provide the basis for the rational planning and management of evacuation passage in university experiment building.

Information ethics is very essential for everyone in the current knowledge-based society. Every citizen in modern society can enjoy various benefits of recent internet technologies. In the meanwhile, everyone also is exposed to the various side effects of information and communication technologies. The typical side effects include copyright violation, cyber crimes, cyber bullying, internet addiction, and so on. The purpose of this paper is to identify correlation between age and information ethics. For this purpose, 3-year national survey works Information Culture Index are analyzed. After thorough statistical analysis work, it is concluded that there is a meaningful correlation between age and information ethics. In other words, the older people are, the higher information ethics they recognize and observe.
