The SAN for Web Warehousing: An Alternative Data Repository (웹 웨어하우징을 위한 신개념의 저장장치 전용네트워크)

  • The combination of data warehousing and Internet technology produces a new concept - web warehousing. Due to the availability of web technologies and the need to make prompt decisions with timely information, web warehousing is emerging as a key strategic business weapon. Yet despite the many promising benefits of web warehousing, researchers have also identified several challenges, including scalability and availability. With the rise of the Internet and data centric computing applications, the use of new Storage Area Network (SAN) technology has been spotlighted for the possibility of a new data repository for web warehousing. In this article, the two new concepts of web warehousing and storage area networks are introduced. In particular, a SAN is discussed in detail as an alternative data repository to overcome the current limitations of web warehousing.

  • Nowadays, due to the development of computers and the information and communication technology, data processing and transmission is made very vastly and fast. The development of the technologies bring many changes and revolutions to the life of ordinary people. Although, e-Business grows continuously, it is in experimental stage in domestic area because of limits of infrastructure. Also, in spite of explosive growth of internet, the research on the internet has not been fully studied yet. The objectives of this study are that how service consumers perceive the flow of e-Business, and that what effect the makes on their satisfaction and re-purchase intention. This means that the research enables a marketing manager to take the meaning of comparative weight among the components of e-Business flow, and to provide very useful information to establish marketing strategies which are close to the consumers.

  • The information technology, in the digital economy era, does a very important role not only for the country's administrative management innovation but also for the business and for the everyday life. Specifically, the e-business for the company or organization is defined as "using the Internet and IT, rescheduling of business process management activities to increase productivity and efficiency and to create new business opportunities." Thanks to the Korea's recent efforts, overall level of informatization and digitalization is able to receive high praise. But the e-business readiness (e-readiness) level is still expected a lot of room for improvement. In this paper, I try to analyze the informatization level of Korea's by the EIU's e-business readiness index and IT industry competitiveness index, to prepare a full-scale e-business era of global competitiveness through any preparation that could do to improve the situation from the analysis of statistical data.

  • This research investigates several essential topics of m-business by conducting a questionnaire to the professional experts. The topics include the market structure and business, the demand for available m-business service and its development, the market size and market growth factors, the service fee, the core technologies and technology development prediction. This paper contributes to the development of m-business in that it provides criteria and policies for more active and efficient treatment of m-business market under IMT2000 environment and also offers guides and plans of m-business activation for both government and enterprise.

  • Through the examination of literatures, electronic commerce is a subject which is accepted in enterprises to define e-commerce adoption, trends, and issues that are assisting and obstructing its efficacy. E-commerce offers numerous advantages to consumer satisfaction in any place and helps the company to get a competitive benefit over its competitors. The Internet has expanded the scope of business. Many business information is available by the global network that supports information gathering between organizations, businesses and their clients, while various divisions of a business is increasing at an exponential rate. Meanwhile, there are a few barriers to proper e-commerce usage and adoption, such as reliable internet connections, poor e-commerce supporting infrastructures, logistics systems presenting socio-regulatory and poor transportation barriers and demonstrating the significant improvement of e-commerce reliable and affordable Internet provisions, i.e., Internet cost, intensity, and reasonable level of e-readiness. The operational and strategic significance of information-based virtual value chains for all organizations cannot be emphasized. As a consequence, this study confirms worldwide market elements of e-commerce, such as its issues, benefits, relevance, scope, facilitators and projects prospective obstacles in a developing economy.

  • Recently, payment method is one of the most hot issues for transaction of contents in mobile and internet markets. Many kinds of mobile contents services are rapidly growing with the combination of internet application services. Payment method algorithms are demanded for the stable transaction between producer and consumer. Security protocol algorithms are widely adapted for mobile Platform terminals. In this Paper, we described security mechanism for the current wireless internet services and compared with the performance result. There are security protocols that based on java machine platform or WAP protocols. The system is based on J2ME technology for the java mobile platform. Based on this technology, a security system is proposed for the service of mobile commerce electronic payment. The system is designed for the stability of transaction so that it enables to apply into many kinds of internet payment system.

  • Web Services are rapidity becoming the enabling technology of today's e-business and e-commerce systems, and will soon transform the Web into distributed applications. The aim of this paper is to present our approach in applying Web Services into the Internet transaction banking system. The system is integrated among backend system of banks so that each bank system can communicate with each other in order to perform transactions in transferring money from an account in one bank to an account in the partner bank and vise versa. The backend systems of banks are heterogeneous information systems; therefore it is difficult to build a common environment using existing distributed technologies. Web Services provide a means for different organizations to connect their applications with one another to conduct business across a network in a platform and language independent manner [1]. The paper will examine these benefits of Web Services and apply these features into the Internet banking transaction system regardless of platform, programming languages as well as existing backend system of banks.

  • Recently a new government has announced an action plan known as the government 3.0, which aims to provide customized services for individual people, generate more jobs and support creative economy. Leading on from previous similar initiatives, the new scheme seeks to focus on open, share, communicate, and collaborate. In promoting Government 3.0, the crucial factor might be how to align the core services and policies of Government 3.0 with correspoding technologies. The paper describes the concepts and features of Government 3.0, identifies emerging Internet-based technologies and services toward the initiative, and finally provides improvement plans for Government 3.0.   • Internet of Things (IoT) is expected to provide efficiency and convenience in human life by integrating the Internet into the things that we use in daily lives. IoT can not only create new businesses but also can bring great changes in our lives thanks to the various ways of technical application: defining relationships among things or automatic use of technology by analyzing the usage pattern. This study uses the qualitative research of interviewing the experts to predict the changes that IoT technology is expected to bring in our lives. In addition, this paper analyzes news articles about internet of things in Korea using text-network analysis. This study also discusses the factors which need to be considered to put IoT into successful use in business contexts.
