The usability of the Internet including WWW (World Wide Web) is dramatically growing in current management environment. These allow decision makers to enhance the productivity of decision making by referring valuable information in the remote sites. This paper presents how WWW can be applied to build distributed and collaborative DSS. Especially, a framework of Internet-based DSS is delineated, and then an idea of representing and managing models in the Internet-based DSS is suggested.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze current status of the web-sites dealing with oriental obstetrics & gynecology in the internet, and to evaluate their quality and confidence of health information. Methods: It was selected 54 local sites by searching for such key words as menstrual pain. The evaluation tool consisted of six major classification (Content, Authorship, Purpose, Functionality, Feedback and Privacy). Results: In the evaluation of web-sites, the lowest and the highest scores were 7 and 19 out of 26, and the average score was 13.94. The scores of Purpose, Content, Feedback were higher than the average, but the scores of Authorship, Functionality, Privacy were lower than the average. Conclusion: There is a need to develop a high-quality information about latest, confidence, authorship of documents, and to prevent a exposure of privacy.

웹의 개방성은 사람들로 하여금 언제, 어디서든 손쉽게 유용한 정보를 획득할 수 있게끔 하였다. 하지만 인터넷은 유용한 정보의 손쉬운 활용이라는 순기능과 더불어 사회적으로 통제를 필요로 하는 유해한 정보 역시 인터넷을 이용하는 이용자들에게 무차별적으로 제공함으로써 역기능을 발생시키고 있다. 성인 컨텐츠 같은 정보들은 모든 사용자들, 특히 청소년들에게 악영향을 미칠 수 있다. 또한, 변태적인 성인 사이트들이 담고 있는 컨텐츠들은 성인들의 정신 건강에도 해를 미치게 된다. 한편, 인터넷은 전 세계적으로 연결된 개방망이므로 유해정보 제공자를 각국의 법적, 제도적 장치를 이용하여 규제하는데 한계가 있다. 또한, 유해 사이트, 유해성 스팸 메일, P2P 등 다양한 경로를 통해 유해 정보를 접할 수 있기 때문에, 어떤 시스템에 특화된 유해정보 분류기술을 개발하는 것은 바람직하지 않다. 따라서, 유해정보의 내용 자체에 기반하여 유해 여부를 자동으로 판별할 수 있는 유해정보 판별 핵심 기술의 연구 및 개발의 중요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 내용 기반 기술을 이용한 효율적인 유해 웹 문서 텍스트 판별 시스템을 제시한다.

In this paper, a mathematical model was introduced to analyze pricing and quality strategies for the web sites of electronic intermediaries. Especially, I focused on the intermediary sites that initiate their businesses by providing free services such as free e-mail, search, and directory services. intermediaries may gather third party providers looking for new markets for their services, based on customers who want to use the free services. And intermediaries provide charged intermediary services to both of customers and providers. By analyzing the mathematical model, I can find optimal quality and prices to maximize the profit of intermediaries. And I can found also that intermediaries should make efforts to improve their productivity of developing their services to make profits.

This study carried out to assess the quality of the information presented on the internet about nutrition specifically in the field of health functional food by monitoring with 10 panels from May, 2004 to October. Four hundred seven relevant websites were initially selected from a process using 5 search engines and the keywords ‘food’ and ‘nutrition’, and 404 sites actually met all inclusion criteria. Most of the sites evaluated 219 (54.20%) were commercial sites and then distributed noncommercial organization site 93 (23.0%), individual site 92(22.8%). Assessment quality indicator was carried out using the 17 necessary requisites, which has been developed to enable users and information providers to judge the quality of food and nutrition information. The mean score for quality grade was 11.07, five site out of a maximum score of 17 and two sites with the lowest total scores for the quality of food and nutrition information. Noncommercial organization site assessed achieved the highest score in accurate and useful informations to the public. Low ranked sites had the most inaccurate or misleading information, emphasizing only the positive aspects of the information, with little or no evidence. Many commercial sites used personal testimony as the most popular ‘proof’ for the effectiveness of product. This was anecdotal rather than scientific evidence based on which the objective validation was difficult to be made. Therefore, it can be challenging for both public and health professionals, to sort out useful information from a plethora of advertisements and promotions on the web sites. Our results suggest that nutrition professionals should talk about useful information of health, food and nutrition with public and help them find the best available information when using the internet.

정보화 시대의 도래로 인해 학교 현장뿐만 아니라 사회의 전 분야에서 인터넷의 사용이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 고객 분석이 화두가 되는 온라인 마켓에서는 성인의 성별 요인이 인터넷 사용에 있어 하나의 중요한 요소로 인식되어 시스템 설계와 개발에 큰 영향을 미치는 요인이 되기도 한다. 마찬가지로, 대상자가 인터넷의 환경에 처음 노출되어 그 정도가 심화되어 가는 초등학생을 대상으로 성별, 인종, 문화 등 따라 그 개발과 설계를 근본적으로 달리 해야 하는가 하는 것은 최근의 중요한 이슈의 하나로 생각될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 현장 교사들의 많은 경험상 성별이 큰 영향을 미칠 것이라는 막연한 생각에 분명한 통계적 결과를 제시하여 a) 성인들과 같이 성별에 따라 교육용 시스템의 설계와 개발을 해야 할 필요성이 있는지에 대한 근본적인 의문에 답할 뿐만 아니라 b) 세부적으로 어떠한 요인들이 초등교육용 웹 사이트 개발에 핵심적 요소가 될 것인가를 192명의 설문결과를 바탕으로 분석하여 그 결론과 시사점을 도출하였다.

인터넷은 정보의 바다로 불려 질 만큼 엄청난 정보를 가지고 있지만 개인정보를 수집하여 악의적인 행동을 하는 각종 웹사이트에 제공함으로써 개인정보 유출 뿐 아니라 경제적 손실을 야기할 수 있다. 현재의 정보기술은 인터넷뿐만 아니라 모바일이나 개인용 단말기에서도 정보를 얻을 수 있기 때문에 개인정보의 유출은 엄청난 속도로 퍼져나갈 수 있다. 따라서 웹페이지 상에서 개인정보는 개개인을 구별하는 기본적인 정보로서 그 중요성이 더욱 증가 되고 있는 반면 개인정보 유출로 피해 사례 또한 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 웹상에서의 최근 개인정보 침해 사례와 그 원인 및 보호 방안을 검토 및 분석한다.

Purpose: The present study purposed to investigate and analyze domestic websites providing information about dementia and to suggest future directions for the development of dementia-related websites. Mothod: For this purpose, the researcher selected 13 domestic websites that were available in November and December 2004, and evaluated them in terms of construction, operation, accessibility and contents on a scale 4 point (0$\~$3). Result: The construction of dementia-related websites got 6$\~$13 out of 18 points, which suggests that management policies for the operation of dementia-related web sites are inadequate. The operation of dementia-related web sites got 7$\~$15 out of 24 points. In particular, all 13 sites got a low score in the aspect of continuance. With regard to accessibility, the sites were evaluated on how easily users could access the sites and they got 2$\~$8 out of 15 points. In evaluating contents, the sites got 9$\~$18 out of 21 points with regard to the purpose and appropriateness of the contents. Conclusion: This shows that most sites did not provide diverse types of dementia-related information. Because it is highly advantageous to perform primary dementia-preventing management through websites, this study proposes to develop a website evaluation system in order to provide high quality dementia-related information.

Increasing affectability of high-speed Internet and convenient access devices has made the Internet a major source of information search and sharing. As the provision of information has rapidly becomes an important and viable business model, the objective utility and marketability of information contents have become a focus of interest among many academicians and managers. Researchers have traditionally focused on the design of the interface, availability of resources, network accessibility, the format of web sites and their underlying systems. However, the usefulness of contents has been left as a little explored issue. To correctly diagnose and pursue the viability of contents provision business a shift of perspective is required : a shift from technology-oriented perspective toward user-oriented perspective, and a shift from form and design focus toward content focus. This research attempted to analyze consumer-oriented information quality in a more systematic way by focusing on a limited domain travel-related information contents. We proposed a relationship among consumers'behavior, characteristics of information, and the values of information measured by users. An empirical examination of the model was performed using a survey on Internet users in Korea. Implications are drawn for managers responsible for creating marketable contents.

The number of cellular phone users has exceeded over twenty million recently. Some researches show that people in the twenties to thirtieth usually regard the cellular as an instrument for not only call but also Internet. It means the cellular is being highlighted as a mediator for transmitting information. Therfore it'll play an essential role soon as a gateway for unifying wire and wireless services if we can browse Internet sites, for example our own homepage or commercial site, with the cellular. This paper explain WAP topology which enable the mobile terminal to access to the Web and show a method of designing and realizing WML document on the Web.
