  • 센서 데이터 스트림 처리 기술은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 기술로 그 중요성이 날로 증대되어, 현재 산업계는 물론 학계에서도 그 역량을 이에 집중하고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 센서 데이터 스트림에 대한 특징 및 이를 처리하기 위한 산업계와 학계의 동향을 알아본다. 그리고, 대용량 센서데이터 스트림을 처리하기 위해 요구되어지는 기능을 정리하고, 이를 기반으로 센서 데이터 스트림처리 시스템의 구조를 설계한다.

Distributed Server Configuration Scheme for Internet Online Game (인터넷 온라인 게임을 위한 서버의 분산구성 기법)

  • Generally, the internet online game systems are divided into two parts, clients and servers. The clients provide a connection with game server to each user and communicate between them. And, the server controls all clients by the game rules fairly and manages database systems to maintain the user information. In this paper, we propose a configuration method for internet online game servers using distributed scheme. To apply this method, we divide game server into three sub-level parts again. First part of game server is login server to establish the connection between communication server and clients. Second part is communication server to connect between clients and main game server during playing the game. And last part is DBMS that performs database independently. Our proposed scheme suggests that the game server operates very stable because of decreasing of processing load by distributed scheme. So, our proposed server configuration applies to similar online game easily.

  • We, ICOMM(Information Center Of Machinery & Materials), make efforts to apply the EC to support the Internet Marketing for Small and Medium Enterprises, and at the base of experience are carrying out diffusing the internet minds, applying the CALS, searching the internet information, education for internet and supporting the EC-hosting to count of first importance for 6,000 Manufacturing Industries located in KYOUNGNAM. Traditional Business-to-Business depends on the EDI by using VAN. As the Internet is lively and the Internet users incredibly increasing, the total marketing strategies of Enterprises are cyberized, and Enterprises try finding the new business partner by using Internet technologies, At the base of this Environments, this paper proposes the Internet Marketing Server (that is called EC-Business Server) that consists of the staging server to establish the Mall, the search engine for resembled manufactured goods, and so on. EC-Business Server supports Business-to-Business as in electronic commerce.

  • There have been many streaming servers that provide a large number of contents for a user's preference. General purpose streaming sewer makes use of a RTSP protocol for streaming controls such as message passing with client players. To date, there has been minimal research regarding streaming server's performance test tools. For measuring streaming server's performance, performance evaluation technique is needed and also achieved by RTSP based controls, a server's performance result and its miscellaneous test tools such the PseudoPlayer for pumping data to a specified port and the PseudoMonitor for gathering information. In this paper, We implement a test toolkit for evaluating a streaming server's performance and show the case of its application

  • Due to the rapid increase In the Internet traffic volume, ISPs are faced with the definite need of the expansion of server capacity. In order to Provide prompt services for customers and still prevent excessive facility cost, it is critical to determine the optimum level of internet server capacity. The purpose of this Paper is to provide a simple but effective strategy on the expansion of servers capacity according to the increase in internet traffic. We model an internet server as an M/G/m/m queueing system and derive an efficient method to compute the loss probability which, In turn, Is used as a basis to determine proper server capacity. The Process of estimating the traffic parameter values at each server based on log data analysis is also given. All the procedures are numerically demonstrated through the process of analyzing actual log data collected from a game company.

  • 차세대 인터넷 서버는 인터넷을 통하여 여러 사용자에게 HDTV 급 고품질 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하고자 개발된 시스템이며, 이를 위하여 디스크 연결 및 네트워크 기능을 정합 시킨 특화된 NS 카드를 개발하였다. Contents Container 파일 시스템은 NS 카드 전용으로 개발된 멀티미디어 파일 시스템이며, 본 논문에서는 Contents Container 파일 시스템에 대한 개발 내용을 기술하고, 개발 시스템의 장단점을 파악하고자 EXT3 파일 시스템과 비교 분석하였다.

  • This paper describes an experimental embedded tiny web server system that monitors the processing of manufacture using the Internet. The object of this study is developing of an embedded tiny web server that connects the stand-alone machines in factory to the Internet. Using the World Wide Web (WWW), we proffer user-friendly environments to users. Anyone with a web browser may easily access the processing of manufacture in the factory. Through connecting different network system, our web server extends the private networks to the Internet, the global networks. Our embedded tiny web server is ideal for process control, building and facility management system, factory automation and even home automation.

A Design of X-internet Development Framework by Using Flash Component and Service API (플래시 컴포넌트와 서비스 API를 이용한 X-인터넷 개발 프레임워크 설계)

  • In this paper, we designed a new type of X-internet framework by using Flash component and server service API and analyzed its performance. Proposed X-internet framework uses Flash MX Professional 2004, Java, and software which opened middleware and database. Since proposed framework use the server service API that we developed in this paper and Flash player, this framework does not need server module. Proposed framework enables to obtain design with dynamic user interface compare to Web application and enables to reduce development time. In analytical results, it has been shown that proposed x-internet framework have efficient characteristics such as network traffic, low development cost and dynamic user interface implementation. Since proposed X-internet framework can operate in environment of current developer friendly, it is useful for development of various new application programs and we confirm it through Flash web mail implementation by using proposed x-internet framework.

  • DNS(Domain Name System) is a huge distributed database that converts host name to IP address. We are expecting the importance of DNS is more increased because many Internet application services appear according to the continuous increase of Internet users and nearly all the Internet application services use DNS. To prevent the interruption of DNS service, DNS server is configured with primary DNS server and a secondary DNS server which takes the place of primary DNS server in case of the service interruption. But this scheme is difficult for providing DNS service constantly in case of DDoS attack, which brings about much network load or network problems in DNS server group. Therefore, This paper proposed the scheme to locally distribute load of DNS server, and the use of address system to group the distributed DNS servers. Also, it proposed the authentication scheme of the correspondent server in case the server is changed in DNS server group having grouping address. In this paper, it is shown that the prosed scheme guarantees the improved service reliability with maintaining the present service performance through the evaluation. Through this, we can expect the high improved DNS service can be provided in the Internet environment in the future.

  • 최근 들어 인터넷, 인트라넷을 통해 양질의 동영상 데이터를 네트워크 상으로 실시간 또는 사용자의 요구에 따라 전승해 주는 스트리밍 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 아울러, 유비쿼터스 환경의 도래와 함께 센싱을 통한 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스의 확장이 이루어지고 있으며, 유/무선 환경에서 사용자의 콘텐트에 대한 요구를 끊김 없이/연속 이동을 통해 볼 수 있는 사용자 맞춤형 서비스가 필요로 되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 센서기기를 연동해서 사용자를 인식하고 양질의 동영상을 사용자의 요구 시점에 이동성을 보장하면서 사용자의 다양한 단말 조건을 인식하여 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는 내용을 담고 있다.
