Development of an Intelligent Illegal Gambling Site Detection Model Based on Tag2Vec (Tag2vec 기반의 지능형 불법 도박 사이트 탐지 모형 개발)

  • Illegal gambling through online gambling sites has become a significant social problem. The development of Internet technology and the spread of smartphones have led to the proliferation of illegal gambling sites, so now illegal online gambling has become accessible to anyone. In order to mitigate its negative effect, the Korean government is trying to detect illegal gambling sites by using self-monitoring agents or reporting systems such as 'Nuricops.' However, it is difficult to detect all illegal sites due to limitations such as a lack of staffing. Accordingly, several scholars have proposed intelligent illegal gambling site detection techniques. Xu et al. (2019) found that fake or illegal websites generally have unique features in the HTML tag structure. It implies that the HTML tag structure can be important for detecting illegal sites. However, prior studies to improve the model's performance by utilizing the HTML tag structure in the illegal site detection model are rare. Against this background, our study aimed to improve the model's performance by utilizing the HTML tag structure and proposes Tag2Vec, a modified version of Doc2Vec, as a methodology to vectorize the HTML tag structure properly. To validate the proposed model, we perform the empirical analysis using a data set consisting of the list of harmful sites from 'The Cheat' and normal sites through Google search. As a result, it was confirmed that the Tag2Vec-based detection model proposed in this study showed better classification accuracy, recall, and F1_Score than the URL-based detection model-a comparative model. The proposed model of this study is expected to be effectively utilized to improve the health of our society through intelligent technology.

Determination of Heavy Metals in Sanitary Products of Women (여성용 위생용품의 유해중금속 분석)

  • Endometriosis becomes the most common cause of pelvic pain and infertility women. The cause of endometriosis has ever been entirely proven. However, an increased use of commercial feminine hygiene products such as tampons and sanitary napkins was considered one of the major affect. Harmful substances in feminine hygiene products was analyzed and evaluated. Samples of commercial products obtained from Korea, Japan, America, Germany, and China were analyzed for six hazardous inorganic elements (chromium, cobalt, nickel, copper, cadmium and lead). In the extractable heavy metals of napkins, Cr, Ni and Cu were found in all of the samples, while Cd was detected only in two samples. In the tampons, Cr, Ni and Cu were found in all of the samples. The presence of Co and Cd was not detected in all samples The concentrations of extractable heavy metals in the tampons were lower than those in the sanitary napkins. The content of extractable heavy metals in the sanitary products was compared with the criteria of the 100 $\ddot{O}KO$ TEX Standard. It was confirmed that the level of heavy metals in the sanitary products posed no serious risk to health, based on the human-ecological criteria defined by the 100 $\ddot{O}KO$ TEX Standard.

A Study of Weight Control and Associated Factors among High School Female Students (서울 일부 지역 여고생의 체중조절 및 이와 관련된 요인)

  • The study purpose was to examine weight control status and related factors among 370 high school girls in Seoul. Factors examined included interest toward weight control, body satisfaction, body image, beliefs regarding weight control and self-efficacy. $65.1\%$ had attempted to control weight and were categorized into attempt group. Those in the attempt group had higher body weight (p < 0.001) and BMI (p < 0.001) than the counterparts. They tried to control weight 2.9 times on average (22.4 days each time). The major information sources for weight control were internet ($62.8\%$), and TV/radio ($17.1\%$). Exercise was most commonly used for weight control, followed by reducing meal amount and skipping dinner. The attempt group was less satisfied with body size (p < 0.001) and perceived their body size as heavier than the counterparts (p < 0.001), but they showed more interest toward weight control (p < 0.001). The ideal body size of society or the body size that they want was very thin in both groups. Twelve out of 20 beliefs regarding weight control were significantly different between the two groups. The attempt group believed more strongly on the advantages such as increased self-confidence, appearance, attractiveness (p < 0.001) and 'good for making friends' (p < 0.01) In contrast, the attempt group believed less strongly about the disadvantages including harmful effects on health (p < 0.001), parents' dislike, feelings of discouragement (p < 0.01) and becoming (p < 0.05). The attempt group showed lower overall self-efficacy to control overeating (p < 0.05) than the counterparts. Especially, the attempt group felt less control of overeating in situations such as eating-out, after school, when they are with family (p < 0.01) or with friends, when they feel hungry, during examination periods and when others offer food (p < 0.05). This study suggested that weight management education for adolescents include strategies for changing body image and beliefs regarding weight control, as well as increasing self-efficacy to control overeating. Study on Development of LED Camping Light Design Based on IOT and Emotional Lighting Contents (IOT 및 감성조명 콘텐츠 기반의 LED 캠핑등 디자인 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study is aimed at suggesting information about technical choices for designing LED camping lights based on emotional lighting contents of integrated IOT and design areas which take a central role in creation and knowledge based industries and the procedure for materializing them. 'i-Light,' a portable LED camping light, is 'connected lighting' connecting men, space and emotion and a smart camping light based on IOT and emotional lighting contents. 'i-Light' has two functions. One is about lighting for adjusting color and color temperature naturally and the other is about safety for detecting harmful gases. 'i-Light' also has various emotional functions for experiencing interaction and taste of light. For the purpose, portable LED camping lights were designed, first of all, and then a highly color rendering/full-color lighting module, a smart sensor module and an IOT device platform were developed. In addition, efforts were made to establish detailed data about emotional lighting contents and to develop a Web application based on them. Finally, prototypes of portable LED camping lights were made to get a test bench and usability evaluation from related organizations. According to the results, all of 12 developed emotional lighting contents and three IOT safety sensors were suitable and prototypes were satisfactory. This paper will suggest a direction about actual technical choices for development of contents and products integrating artificial intelligence and big data and about the procedure for materializing them.
