  • With the development of VR technology, the visual immersion of VR games has been greatly enhanced nowadays. There has been an issue that has been troubling players in previous VR games, which is motion sickness. Therefore, VR games have been limited in terms of game mechanics, game duration, and game scale, greatly reducing the immersive experience of visual immersion. However, <Half-Life: Alyx> is different from previous VR games in that players can actually perform spatial displacement in the game scene, rather than being fixed in one place for 360-degree observation and interaction. At the same time, compared to traditional games, VR games no longer need to rely on screens, and the complete visual immersion enhances the fun and playability of the game. This research focuses on the VR game <Half-Life: Alyx> to explore its immersive factors in terms of visual perception. Through in-depth analysis of elements such as color, texture mapping, lighting, etc. in VR games, it was found that the game creates a strong sense of visual immersion in these aspects. Through analysis, it is helpful to gain a deeper understanding of the factors that contribute to visual immersion in VR games, which has certain reference value for game developers and related professionals.

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the types of internet personal game broadcasting in China and to examine viewers' preferences type of it. By targeting top 100 creators of Player-Unknown's Battleground streaming as a personal game broadcaster with over 100,000 followers, the game types were classified based on the purpose and characteristic of game broadcasting such as game play, entertainment, and audience participation. As a result, the type of internet personal game broadcasting in China was classified into progamer type, cooperative playing type, storytelling type, and reciprocal entertainment type. The progamer type was 38% and it was the highest proportion of Player-Unknown's Battlegrounds streaming. Next came storytelling type, cooperative playing type and reciprocal entertainment type with 25%, 19% and 18% respectively. In sum, progamer type and storytelling type which shows relatively low real - time communication with audiences accounted for a high percentage of 63%. This implies that the characteristics of the broadcast media focused on 'showing' have influenced the production and planning of personal game broad casting. The interactive characteristics of the platform of personal game broad casting can be expected to gradually change the conventional customs of broadcasting media.

  • This paper proposes an image generation method using a Multi Discriminator Generative Adversarial Net (MDGAN) as a next generation 2D game sprite creation technique. The proposed GAN is an Autoencoder-based model that receives three areas of information-color, shape, and animation, and combines them into new images. This model consists of two encoders that extract color and shape from each image, and a decoder that takes all the values of each encoder and generates an animated image. We also suggest an image processing technique during the learning process to remove the noise of the generated images. The resulting images show that 2D sprites in games can be generated by independently learning the three image attributes of shape, color, and animation. The proposed system can increase the productivity of massive 2D image modification work during the game development process. The experimental results demonstrate that our MDGAN can be used for 2D image sprite generation and modification work with little manual cost.

  • Objectives : As the side effect brought up by internet game addiction, many reports come out, but most of past articles are for middle or high school students. There is seldom a poisoning game treatise to a primary school student, if there is treatise, it is real condition that treatise for lead pipe with psychological reasons is seldom discussion about physical symptoms. This research searches high grade elementary students' game use actual conditions and when divide to general user group, latent danger use group, high dangerous use group, according to serious illness degree of game poisoning, three groups and game poisoning happens, recognized about body symptoms that happen much. Methods : Target population of these questionnaire are fifth and sixth grade elementary student of Seoul city 2 school. Chose 263 elementary students, 144 men, 119 women who understand purpose of research and admit participation is 25 October, 2006 since 1 September, 2006 Results : As poisoning serious illness degree is high, there are many number of game times, much more boys are addicted to internet game than girs, insomnia is apt to happen frequently in game poisoning danger group, and correlation is high by megrim, shoulder ache, digestive trouble. Insomnia, symptoms that show next even if some symptoms show first because there is high correlation between megrim, shoulder ache, digestive trouble is high possibility to happen among four symptoms. Insomnia, megrim, shoulder ache, digestive trouble that happen by internet game poisoning, is apt to increase by increasing addiction. Symptoms treatment can divide by internal treatment that treat insomnia, megrim, digestive trouble, external treatment that is typical symptoms of VDT syndrome shoulder ache, headache, fatigue persimmon. Root treatment is mind symptoms treatment. Game addiction treatment is relationship method 'seven emotions injury treatment' in oriental medicine. • While the Internet continues to integrate with modern lives, the risks of negative outcomes resulting from problematic use (PU) are also increasing. Although psychological well-being and use motivations have been shown to play major roles in Internet PU, understanding the moderating mechanism is critical for advanced knowledge. The present study employed survey data from users of a live video-game streaming service (LVGS) that is an area rarely been studied. Result concluded a positive moderating effect of escapism motive (EM) on the association between loneliness and the PU of LVGS, while the moderating mechanism between EM and stress was not indicated. A moderating effect of information seeking (IS) on the relationship between stress and the PU of LVGS was found negative, but no mechanism between IS and loneliness was indicated. This study highlights how the interplay of different motivation and pathologies may induce or prevent video-game-related addiction.

  • Korea's Compulsive Shutdown System bans online game providers from offering their services to children under 16 years of age from midnight to 6 a.m. Although it was introduced only after lengthy rounds of discussion, controversy over the system still continues. The key question is whether the system, which unilaterally emphasizes juvenile protection, infringes upon the freedom of playing games for teenagers, the freedom of business for game products related business operators and the right to foster children for parents, which are basic rights under the Constitution. It is very encouraging that the State took up the issue and prepared various systems for juvenile protection through the Compulsive Shutdown System. Yet the government has to plan as comprehensive and effective of a measure as it possibly can by predicting the trends of technology development and game use, and also set detailed standards to ensure that the system should not become an excessive or inappropriate regulation. Although the State's compulsive intervention may be positive since it is hard to expect a self purification capability to exhibit itself concerning game use among teenagers, a plan to prevent game addiction among adolescents from the long-term and fundamental perspectives should be prepared as well.

  • A new trend has been emerging in recent years, with video game live streaming becoming a meeting ground for gamers, as well as a marketing strategy for game developers. In line with this trend, the emergence of the "Let's Play" culture has significantly changed the manner in which people enjoyed video games. In order to academically explore this new experience, this study seeks to answer the following research questions: (1) Does engaging in video game streaming offer the same feeling as playing the game? (2) If so, what are the factors that affect the feeling of telepresence from viewers' perspective? and (3) How does the feeling of telepresence affect viewers' learning experience of the streamed game? We generated and empirically tested a comprehensive research model based on the telepresence and consumer learning theories. The research findings revealed that the authenticity and pleasantness of the streamer and the interaction of viewers positively affect telepresence, which in turn is positively associated with the gained knowledge and a positive attitude toward the streamed game. Based on the research findings, various practical implications are discussed for game developers as well as platform providers.

  • Metabus, currently represented by Second Life on the Internet, is the next-generation 3DCG Internet world in which the 2D Internet world has evolved, and has grown as a new ICT culture of mankind that can replace real society with virtual society. As such, the reason why the world of metabus has rapidly expanded is that the era of 3D Internet has arrived due to the evolution of the Internet, which only used information, and the spread of 5G communication in user-participating WEB. However, there are many situations in which laws do not exist in this virtual world and various illegal acts occur. As the Internet culture developed earlier, illegal activities by users began to appear, and as the legal responsibility of Internet providers was discussed, mankind quickly passed the Millennium Copyright Act or introduced new copyright protection measures such as technical protection, transmission rights, and rights management information. Therefore, this paper reviews and studies how to accept and further grow this new metabus culture, including the viewpoint of intellectual property.
