최근 무선통신기술이 발달하면서 GIS기반의 응용분야도 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나 다양한 기종이나 플랫폼에서 응용시스템을 구현하는 데에는 한계가 있음이 지적되어 왔다. 한편, eXtensible Markup Language(XML)는 이러한 플랫폼간의 데이터 교환이나 포맷 문제를 해결할 수 있는 기술로 주목받고 있다. Geographic Markup Language(GML)는 XML에 근거한 언어로서 인터넷이나 다양한 모바일 기기상에서 서비스가 가능한 기술로 자주 거론되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 네트웍이나 무선 플랫폼을 통해 지리적 데이터를 전달하거나 표현하는데 GML을 사용하는 방안을 제시한다. 현재 사용되고 있는 지리정보 서비스들과 GML을 사용한 방법을 상호 비교하고, 이에 근거하여 GML을 사용한 지리정보 서비스 개선방안에 대해 제안한다.

As development of Information Technology and Internet are available, many industries are creating a lot of values through extension from physical space to virtual reality. However, use of Information Technology and Internet in real estate appraisal is unprepared. As a result, There is necessity of appraisal information system development based on GIS and Internet for pratical use of Information Technology. Therefore, in this study, presented development model which present a basic design of appraisal information system to fulfill information request in appraisal and use GIS and Internet.

지리 정보 시스템(GIS; Geographical Information System)은 하드웨어, 소프트웨어, 데이터, 사람, 그리고 메소드로 구성된다. 이중 데이터는 GIS 의 가장 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 GIS 개발자들에 의해 개척되고 있는 최신의 기술인 인터넷 GIS에서 공간 데이터의 효율적 사용을 위한 공간 객체 표현, 저장 및 전송을 위한 파일 포맷인 HVF를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 HVF의 문법을 정의하고, API를 통한 HVF 생성을 위해 헤드섹션 생성모듈과 메인섹션 생성모듈을 구현하였다. 그리고 HVF를 여러 응용 분야에서 데이터의 공유가 가능한 자료 구조의 형태로 변환하기 위해 HVF를 위한 공간객체 변환기를 개발하였다. 이를 위해 변환기를 구성하는 3개의 단위 모듈인 파일 처리 모듈, HVF 수입 모듈, 그리고 HVF 수출 모듈들을 설계 및 구현하였다. 특히, 인터넷 GIS를 위해 개발된 HVF는 네트워크의 트래픽을 감소하기 위한 공간 데이터의 크기와 이용 효율을 위한 한글 처리에 대해 고려 하였다.

Recent Internet Service Environment has been moved to provide geographic information based on location as well as existent various information. In this paper, we develop an integrated software connecting GIS information to Internet. In the other hand, in GIS S/W, it is important that rapid output of Digital Map and effective trnasmission of specified Digital Map about moving area. To achieve the purpose, we propose a reduced digital format to diminish original digital maps. Also, we develop a GIS-based software engine with functions connecting location information to URL as well as map viewer and map handling. Futhermore, our developed GIS S/W is based Module in LBS application using GPS sensor.

As an emerging technology in Computer graphics areas, SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic) makes it possible to make use of Vector graphics for servicing maps in basic internet browsing environment. SVG based thematic map Internet GIS system implemented by this research is free of special server side GIS mapping system and client side extra technology. It provides high-quality vector map which can interact with the user, template map which can be used for other purpose, glance the future map based on Webservices technologies. Many good characteristics of SVG in mapping at computer screen and reusability of SVG document provide new era of visualzation of geographic information.

Elshayal $Smart{\copyright}$ software is an almost First Arabian GIS $software{\copyright}$ which completely developed by Arabian developers team and independent of any commercial software package. The software current Features are View and Edit shape files, build new layers, add existing layers, remove layers, swap layers, save layers, set layer data sources, layer properties, zoom in & zoom out, pan, identify, selecting features, invert selection, show data table, data query builder, location query builder, build network, find shortest path, print map, save map image, copy map image to clipboard, save project map, edit move vertex, edit move features, snap vertexes, set vertex XY, move settings, converting coordinate system, applying VB script, copy selected features to another layer, move selected features to another layer, delete selected features, edit data table, modify table structure, edit map features, drawing new features, GPS tracking, 3D view, etc... The software expected Features are: Viewing raster image and image geo-referencing, read other map formats such as DXF Format and Tiger Line Format.

GIS와 정보통신기술과 연계된 위치기반서비스는 개인의 위치정보를 측정하고 이용한다. 위치정보는 특정된 개인의 현재 위치와 그 위치를 통한 개인의 행동 등을 추정할 수 있는 정보로서 프라이버시 침해 가능성이 매우 높은 정보이므로 강력한 보호 제도가 필요하다. 이러한 배경에서 정보통신부가 추진하고 있는 위치정보보호법안은 개인정보 보호와 위치기반서비스 사업 활성화라는 상충되는 두 가지 목적에 대한 합의점을 제대로 찾지 못하고 있어 실질적인 개인정보 보호 대책으로 부족하며 지속적 보완이 필요하다. 본 연구는 효과적인 지리정보의 유통과 활용의 관점에서 개인의 위치정보 보호 문제를 고찰하고 합리적인 대안을 모색하였다.

The mobile and ubiquitous environment is experiencing a rapid development of information and communications technology as it provides an ever increasing flow of information. Particularly, GIS is now widely applied in daily life due to its high accuracy and functionality. GIS information is utilized through the tiling method, which divides and manages large-scale map information. The tiling method manages map information and additional information to allow overlay, so as to facilitate quick access to tiled data. Unlike past studies, this paper proposes a new architecture and algorithms for tile searching and indexing management to optimize map information and additional information for GIS mobile applications. Since this involves the processing of large-scale information and continuous information changes, information is clustered for rapid processing. In addition, data size is minimized to overcome the constrained performance associated with mobile devices. Our system has been implemented in actual services, leading to a twofold increase in performance in terms of processing speed and mobile bandwidth.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the activation methods of GIS industries through GIS industry current issue analysis in Korea to provide as following. First of an in order to analyse current GIS industries, there are three divisions as follows: existing GIS industry, new technology GIS industry, and commercial GIS industry. The existing GIS industry includes survey industry, municipality UIS and remote sensing. The new technology GIS industry has telematics industry, LiDAR industry, ubiquitous industry, LBS industry, internet, and u-city industry. The commercial GIS industry consists of civilian request GIS industry and spacial data distribution industry. The national geographic information industry contains problems and directions of the 1st, 2nd NGIS and 3rd NGIS plan direction policy. These classified GIS industries present various problems of policies and invaluable results for the future GIS industry activation directions as follows: Presence of the GIS contents technologies win be the most important core for the GIS industry activation related to IT839 policy of the government in Korea.

This study systematized synthetically to use internet GIS and real estate appraisal method in computing system for the real estate decision. First, indicated the method of using GIS and databases to appraise the real estate by using the cost approach. Second, used the artificial neural network to predict the change of land prices and the artificial neural network convinced us that it indicates easily the result of land prices without complicated processes. Third, examined land prices using the artificial neural network but there is limits for the land price prediction because of difficult data gathering. also, this study may heighten information levels of the real estate field according to 21th century information level if use actively a internet, information users who should pay much moneys in existent real estate decisions may can approach easily.
