  • ebXML (Electronic Business using extensible Markup language), sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS, is a modular suite of specifications that enables enterprises of any size and in any geographical location to conduct business over the Internet. Using ebXML, companies now have a standard method to exchange business messages, conduct trading relationships, communicate data In common terms and define and resistor business processes. It is the mission of ebXML that provides an open XML-based infrastructure enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all parties for creating a single e1ectronic electronic market. This paper briefly overviews the concept of core component, context, assembly rule and context rule. Then, It designs by standard specifications of ebXML core component commonly used in an industry and among industries, and assembles business messages by using XML schema. Therefore, it suggests the mechanism which effectively exchanges business messages among the trading partners. This paper designs core component by using only three business messages of retail industry : orders, dispatch report, sales report.

  • As the networks (i.e., intranet and internet) proliferate all over the world, it is inevitable to move some (or all) of the enterprise activities into virtual spaces. Differently from business data, product data have complex semantics and thus are not properly exchanged among different application programs. Even though some neutral formats of product data have been developed by standard organizations, translating them among various application programs still needs the comprehensive understanding of the complex semantics. Recently, it is widely recognized that capturing more knowledge is the next step In overcome the current difficulties on sharing product data. In this paper, we present Web-based knowledge management that facilitates seamless sharing of product data among various application programs in virtual enterprises. Three types of knowledge are managed by the knowledge management system - metadata, ontology, and mapping. In this environment, we consider both business applications (e.g., ERP, SCM, and EDI System) and engineering applications (e.g., CAD and CAM system).

  • 본 논문에서는 메타레벨의 XML 보안 기법을 이용한 처방전 보안 시스템을 제안하였다. XML/EDI의 암호화를 위하여 XML 문서에만 전자서명을 첨부하는 것이 아니라, DTD에 전자 서명을 첨부하는 방법을 사용함으로써 보다 안전한 처방전 전송 시스템을 구축하고자 한다. 처방전 DTD는 처방전의 각 구성요소에 따라 처방전 정보, 환자 정보, 의료기관 정보, 처방내역 정보, 조제내역 정보 엘리먼트를 정의하고 그 하위에 정보 전송에 따른 정보를 관리하기 위한 하위 엘리먼트를 정의하였다. 안전한 처방전 전송을 위하여 DTD파일을 읽어 들이면서 파싱을 하고 여기서 추출되는 엘리먼트나 속성, 엔티티들을 해시테이블에 저장한다. 파싱이 종료되면 해시 테이블을 읽어 들여서 메시지 다이제스트를 수행하고 이를 개인키와 합성하여 전자 서명을 생성한다.

The Effect of IT Knowledge and IT Communication on the Operational Performance of Small Firms (소기업의 IT 지식, IT 커뮤니케이션과 운영 성과와의 관계 분석)

  • This Paper examines the effect of IT knowledge and IT communication on the operational performance of small firms. Small firms which could be defined firms with less than 50 people in total lags behind medium and large firms in computerization. In order to fill up the computerization gap resulted from size differences, Korean government has been promoting the 'Networking Small Firms' project since 2001. Survey data with 698 small firms in Korea, we could find that If knowledge and IT communication significantly contributed to the operational performance of small firms. Internal process performance is affected by individual IT knowledge, traditional communication, and e-mail communication. Customer performance is affected by above three factors, organizational IT knowledge and internet/EDI communication. Interestingly, financial performance is not affected by traditional communication but only IT knowledge and IT communication.

  • Today, information society is affected by new technologies including Electronic Commerce(EC), Electronic Data Interchange(EDI), Commerce At Light Speed(CALS ), multimedia and teleconferencing. Electronic Commerce is believed to be a field that will bring about a huge revolution of human life in the 21st century and thus its industry will give greatly influential effect on other industries In this paper, we have surveyed and studied through the internet and related materials for the development of framework of Electronic Commerce. It is required that we need the leading role of our government for the earlier activation of Electronic Commerce usage and have to establish the solid background of EC technology creation of our nation's originality and to activate the venture industry oriented for idea and technology rather than the industries in the form of larger enterprises. In conclusion, we have to expand our own ability of research and development to keep the continuous growth of our Electronic Commerce market and industries through the development of new product and prior acquisition of market as well as to expand the path of various technology aquisition by the strategic M&A and capital investment with the leading foreign enterprises.

  • This paper was studied on change for Marine Administration of telecommunications. Analysis method was studied of Policy Delphi. The three kinds of telecommunications network influence on Marine administration is National Information Infrastructure Network, Integrated Services Digital Network and Local Area Network. The five kinds of telecommunications service influence on Marine administration is Telecommuting Service, Electronic Approval Service, Teleconference Service, Electronic Data Interchange Service, and Internet Service. The results of this as follow: First, all Marine agency must be innovation. Second, Marine Administration must be use Telecommunications. Marine Administration must be for customer.

  • International trade has been changed from traditional trade to e-trade due to the fast expanding of information technology like e-marketplace, EDI (Electronic data interchange) using Internet since mid of 1990's. e-Trade, as a new trade method, could handle every trade procedure such as market research, contract, customs clearance, logistics and payment using IT like internet without restriction of time and space. The evolution of transaction-based business model is upon us. The business models of many e-Marketplace in their early stages have typically been based on transaction fees. Many e-Marketplaces have even called out transaction revenues as a core element of their business plans. The transaction business represents the most simple of business models, but it does not provide a long-term sustain able advantage. For buyer's convenience, wide selection and test price hold appeal. For suppliers, the extended global market reach and direct access to customers and consortiums of customers is powerful. To maximize leverage of these new e-marketplace, you must from both a buyer perspective as well as a supplier perspective. Also required is a strategy that takes in account all of the various e-Marketplace transaction standards and one that allows the easy accomodation to new e-marketplace as the market change. These new e-marketplace will need to be factored into the sales channel strategies. To be successful, integration with these e-marketplaces should occur at a complete business process level. This study would suggest on the role of buyers and sellers for e-trade which could maximize effect of e-trade in order to cope with rapid changing IT environment and global trade environment. Therefore, this study suggests top priority tasks for implementing on the specialization strategy of e-trade process.

  • The purpose of this study is how to apply to e-Commerce of parts procurement system in the Japanese Automobile Industry and examine the influence of that through the case studies of automobile makers. In the Japanese automobile industry, B2B e-Commerce of parts procurement system have a shifted from closed circuits through VAN to opened IP-VPN and eventually to the JNX of internet environment. The Japanese automobile industry depends mainly on IP-VPN and JNX, especially EDI on a one to one basis with parts procurement suppliers. As to the future direction of B2B e-Commerce of parts procurement in the Japanese automobile industry, many of commodity parts will be traded among established participants on internet websites owned by automobile maker groups. Finally, for improvement of B2B e-Commerce of parts procurement in the Japanese automobile industry I suggested that there are 'revitalize of e-Marketplace', 'improvement of IT and business process', 'extension of B2B e-Commerce among small and medium sized suppliers'.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the send and receive of the message in the TEDI System. The TEDI System replaces a series of trade documents with electronic date, and it realizes secure and reliable transactions of data among parties by means of open networks, such as the Internet. The TEDI system is composed of Web browsers, TC Serves, a RSP Server, and Certification Servers. TEDI has development the system and legal frame work. Exporters, importers, carriers, banks insurance and companies those who engage in the trade releated business have tested TEDI system and evaluated the legal frame work from the practical point of view. TEDI is now refining the system and preparing for the service. A fundamental feature of the TEDI System is the attribution to participants of data messages through public key certificates issued by certification authorities that allow for verification of digital signatures. Access to servers maintained by such certification authorities also takes place through the internet. In principle, certificates used by any reputable certification authority may be employed as long as they are compatible with X.509 V3.

  • The Port Logistics Information System (Port-MIS) is the system that processes all of port management such as entry and departure of ships, using facilities within ports, port traffic control, cargo entering and carrying and tax collection in 31 trade ports over the whole country. Lately, The Port Logistics Information System (Port-MIS) has been reformed as a WEB-based system and established basis to provide real time information support structure, diversification of civil complaint system, and optimized civil complaint service by using wire and wireless internet. The typical study on the Port Logistics Information System was C/S program and EDI-centered. But it has significance to study on service quality measurement of WEB Port-MIS that has been served as a new web-based platform since April 2010, for there was no such a study until now.
