Blockchain for the Trustworthy Decentralized Web Architecture

  • The Internet was created as a decentralized and autonomous system of interconnected computer networks used for data exchange across mutually trusted participants. The element technologies on the Internet, such as inter-domain and intra-domain routing and DNS, operated in a distributed manner. With the development of the Web, the Web has become indispensable in daily life. The existing web applications allow us to form online communities, generate private information, access big data, shop online, pay bills, post photos or videos, and even order groceries. This is what has led to centralization of the Web. This centralization is now controlled by the giant social media platforms that provide it as a service, but the original Internet was not like this. These giant companies realized that the decentralized network's huge value involves gathering, organizing, and monetizing information through centralized web applications. The centralized Web applications have heralded some major issues, which will likely worsen shortly. This study focuses on these problems and investigates blockchain's potentials for decentralized web architecture capable of improving conventional web services' critical features, including autonomous, robust, and secure decentralized processing and traceable trustworthiness in tamper-proof transactions. Finally, we review the decentralized web architecture that circumvents the main Internet gatekeepers and controls our data back from the giant social media companies.

  • Financial technology, also known as FinTech, is one of the fast growing global businesses in since its inception in 2008. Fintech is a new economic industry, comprised of companies that adopted the latest technologies to provide more efficient financial services than the traditional financial services. Fintech companies are generally small to medium sized startups trying to disintermediate existing financial systems. FinTech companies can be differentiated in several areas, based on its business solutions and target customers. In Korea, the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending companies are the most prominent in the FinTech sector. P2P lending is a method of borrowing or lending money to individuals through online services without the use of an official financial institution as an intermediary. The P2P lending companies operate their services entirely online or mobile environment. Consequently, mobile P2P lending application users are dramatically increasing. Thus, it is worth evaluating the acceptance of the mobile apps of the P2P lending companies from a user's perspective. This paper discusses user acceptance of the mobile P2P lending apps, guided by the Technology Acceptance Model. We conclude that the users' acceptance of mobile P2P lending apps are significantly influenced by perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and user satisfaction. These in turn influenced their attitude towards using mobile P2P lending apps and intention to use.

  • In the rapidly changing business environments, Internet companies have the characteristics of organizational culture that emphasize the flexible, open and autonomous nature of organizational culture, and are transforming into flexible smart working environment that is independent of time and place. Despite such an Internet business environment, the security management system still fails to reflect the business environment and organizational culture of the Internet company, and the control-focused security management system in the Internet company is facing limitations. Therefore, this study designed and developed Corporate members' autonomy-centered security items that considering the characteristics of the business environment and organizational culture of the Internet company. The results of this study are expected to be used to implement and operate corporate members' autonomy-centered security management system in internet companies with an agile business environment and an autonomous organizational culture.

  • Due to the rapidly changing global business environment and global management environment, companies must actively act for competitiveness. By examining the development process of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), there is a chance to optimize the organization and find measures to improve the company competitiveness. It seems examining task process, and studying the influence of ERP introduction to management performance by considering whether the excessive maintenance cost or repetitive investment toward ERP is quiet significant. The companies which instituted ERP uses "business process model" provided by "Best Practice" compare own task to choose much efficient method. This allows simultaneous realization of ERP institution and Business Reengineering (BR).

But They are experiencing trouble by restriction like manpower or financial issue. Therefore, frying to grasp how an assistance degree of a company In B2C Internet shopping mall success factors affects will be important information in resources distribution of management strategic which is established by B2C Internet shopping mall company to survives in unlimited competition. In this paper, It is purpose to find which is success factors affecting to a finance and the other part of results in B2C Internet shopping mall companies. In order to achieve a study purpose, we make a model by literature study and inquiries and analysis the result data. Consequently for successful B2C Internet shopping mall operation, it needs a assistance of a company fully. But the company which shall get a maximum effect with resources limited is difficult to assistance fully. This study will be used to establish strategies of distribution of resources appropriately for the company which is not fully assist B2C Internet shopping mall operation because of restrictions of manpower, material and finance.

  • This paper describes a real-time manufacturing scheduling system on Internet using DBR(Drum-Buffer-Rope) scheduling method. We intend to change company-oriented manufacturing scheduling, which has been used at most manufacturing companies, to customer-oriented manufacturing scheduling. Customers can not only choose product kinds, quantities and order due dates, but also evaluate optimum order due date by themselves in real-time through internet and then the results will be converted into practical manufacturing scheduling. If the company cannot meet the customer order due date, it will offer reliable and accurate information to the customers by suggesting the earliest order due date. To evaluate the customer order due date in real time, companies should be able to estimate their accurate production capacity. This research uses Goldratt's DBR scheduling method to realize that function. The DBR scheduling does not recognize the production capacity of the whole company, but only of the constraint resources which have a great effect on the company throughput. Thus, it can improve the customer service level as well as the profit by performing more dynamic and reliable scheduling through Internet.

  • The aim of this study is to analyze Internet homepages of Korean companies. This study especially concentrates on consumer information and communication on a company Internet homepage. The method of this study is to review a company internet homepage. Main findings are as follows. 1) Consumer information is classified into product, living, study, law and regulation related to product, consumer's product evaluation, consumer education, A/S, company info. about branch stores, financial data, webzine and entertainment. 2) Communication type is classified into B2C and C2C, but Korean company concentrates on B2C communication channel.

  • The Internet can deliver various information and services at the lowest cost without time and space constraints while targeting the world among all existing means of communication. Unlike traditional media such as TV, newspapers, and radio in the past, promotions through mobile environments allow target customers to use two-way low-cost, high-efficiency promotional strategies regardless of time and place. With the development of the Internet, social media has developed into a place to acquire information about favorite companies and their products. Social media greatly contributes to the production of text, photos, videos, and various networks, and has expanded global communication and communication media through the interaction and sharing of various information. In addition, through social media, users can communicate in various ways, reveal themselves, and share and exchange information such as knowledge and personal thoughts. In line with these changes, corporate marketers and sellers are striving to provide consumers with appropriate information more quickly.   • Recently many companies began to realize their visions for the sustainable growth with the advent of CSV(Creating Shared Values). Michael E. Porter, a Harvard Professor, claims that placing social value creation at the core of business strategy has the potential to uncover big opportunities for individual companies and that shared value can play a significant role in increasing competitive advantages while fostering social prosperity. In consequence, the various researches have illustrated how to get the opportunity for competitive advantages from building a social value proposition into corporate strategy, and considerable studies have been promoted heavily from the managerial perspective. However, due to the lack of capability converging information technology with business strategy, any research effort to identify technological or Internet-related issues and to link the issues to CSV does not exist. With Korean being a Internet leading country, the demands of researches analyzing core technology, information, and service utilizing Internet are rapidly growing. The study aims to find out Internet-related enablers for CSV. This paper describes the concepts and features of CSV, identifies emerging Internet-related issues toward the opportunity for competitive advantage, and then depicts the rigorous research endeavors in the areas of Internet information, technology, and services. As a result, 11 papers presented and selected as the outstanding papers at APIC-IST 2014 handle the issues to be brought together, which include: Wireless and Sensor Network, Image Processing and HCI, Big Data and Business Intelligence, Security & Privacy in Internet, SNS & Communication, Smart-Learning and e-Learning, and Internet Business Strategy. The study finally recommends indispensible terms for substantially vitalizing CSV.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to examine the effects of e-CRM activities by the internet shopping mall companies on the purchase activities of purchase customers and the potential customers. The internet shopping companies utilize e-CRM to systematically identify customers' varying demands, and to utilize the results as marketing tools, thus producing a significant effect on the potential customers by generating customer feedback through e-Community. Contrary to their intention, however, cognitive dissonance can occur through e-Community, which may lead to customers' complaints. If these complaints are not properly managed and settled in a timely manner, they can be transferred to other potential customers, and the conformity phenomenon could be created by other complaining customers. Findings obtained through this thesis are as follows: If cognitive disharmony is created by customers who purchased products through the internet shopping malls, this can lead to private complaining behaviors, and subsequently, these behaviors are formed through e-Community. If the internet shopping mall companies do not take any timely and proper measures to intervene in the stage of private complaining behaviors in the first place, these behaviors will immediately escalate into the public complaining behaviors. Furthermore, the complaints will be transferred to other potential customers, ultimately resulting in their swift expansion. In other words, contrary to intention of the internet shopping mall companies, e-CRM does not facilitate the potential customers purchase decision, it rather affects them to postpone or withdraw their purchase decision. Accordingly, the internet shopping mall companies are required to manage e-Community with extreme care, and they should promptly respond to the complaining customers so that e-Community can function properly.
