A Privacy Preserving Vertical Handover Authentication Scheme for WiMAX-WiFi Networks

  • Integrated WiMAX and WiFi networks is of great potential for the future due to the wider coverage of WiMAX and the high data transport capacity of WiFi. However, seamless and secure handover (HO) is one of the most challenging issues in this field. In this paper, we present a novel vertical HO authentication scheme with privacy preserving for WiMAX-WiFi heterogeneous networks. Our scheme uses ticket-based and pseudonym-based cryptographic methods to secure HO process and to achieve high efficiency. The formal verification by the AVISPA tool shows that the proposed scheme is secure against various malicious attacks and the simulation result indicates that it outperforms the existing schemes in terms of communication and computation cost.

  • As robotic technology expands into various fields, robots need to execute some complicated tasks in diverse environments. However, the previous robotic software solutions were limited to independent systems. We can not adapt to diverse functionalities and environments. This makes it hard to provide rapid and effective services and leads to costs and losses in the development process. To overcome these problems, we propose a robot software framework with behavior trees based on ROS2. This framework simplifies complex robot behaviors through behavior trees and makes it easy to modify, extend, and reuse robot behaviors. Furthermore, ROS2 standardizes connections between software modules, enhances the robot's flexibility, and enables independent development and testing of software. Our framework aims to provide a foundation for high-quality robot service provision by supporting the modularity, reusability, independent development, and testing required by intelligent robots that need to provide services in various environments.

Secure and Efficient Privacy-Preserving Identity-Based Batch Public Auditing with Proxy Processing

  • With delegating proxy to process data before outsourcing, data owners in restricted access could enjoy flexible and powerful cloud storage service for productivity, but still confront with data integrity breach. Identity-based data auditing as a critical technology, could address this security concern efficiently and eliminate complicated owners' public key certificates management issue. Recently, Yu et al. proposed an Identity-Based Public Auditing for Dynamic Outsourced Data with Proxy Processing (https://doi.org/10.3837/tiis.2017.10.019). It aims to offer identity-based, privacy-preserving and batch auditing for multiple owners' data on different clouds, while allowing proxy processing. In this article, we first demonstrate this scheme is insecure in the sense that malicious cloud could pass integrity auditing without original data. Additionally, clouds and owners are able to recover proxy's private key and thus impersonate it to forge tags for any data. Secondly, we propose an improved scheme with provable security in the random oracle model, to achieve desirable secure identity based privacy-preserving batch public auditing with proxy processing. Thirdly, based on theoretical analysis and performance simulation, our scheme shows better efficiency over existing identity-based auditing scheme with proxy processing on single owner and single cloud effort, which will benefit secure big data storage if extrapolating in real application.

Data anomaly detection and Data fusion based on Incremental Principal Component Analysis in Fog Computing

  • The intelligent agriculture monitoring is based on the perception and analysis of environmental data, which enables the monitoring of the production environment and the control of environmental regulation equipment. As the scale of the application continues to expand, a large amount of data will be generated from the perception layer and uploaded to the cloud service, which will bring challenges of insufficient bandwidth and processing capacity. A fog-based offline and real-time hybrid data analysis architecture was proposed in this paper, which combines offline and real-time analysis to enable real-time data processing on resource-constrained IoT devices. Furthermore, we propose a data process-ing algorithm based on the incremental principal component analysis, which can achieve data dimensionality reduction and update of principal components. We also introduce the concept of Squared Prediction Error (SPE) value and realize the abnormal detection of data through the combination of SPE value and data fusion algorithm. To ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the algorithm, we design a regular-SPE hybrid model update strategy, which enables the principal component to be updated on demand when data anomalies are found. In addition, this strategy can significantly reduce resource consumption growth due to the data analysis architectures. Practical datasets-based simulations have confirmed that the proposed algorithm can perform data fusion and exception processing in real-time on resource-constrained devices; Our model update strategy can reduce the overall system resource consumption while ensuring the accuracy of the algorithm.

원격 제어 교육용 MBL 플랫폼 개발에 관한 연구 (An Educational MBL Platform Development with Remote Access Functionality)

  • 본 논문에서는 물리, 화학, 생물 등 실험 교과목에 대하여 학생들이 가정 및 여러 장소에서 원격 접근 기능을 가지는 마이크로프로세서 기반 실험 장치(Microprocessor Based Laboratory Systems, MBL)의 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 플랫폼 구조 설계에 관하여 연구하였다. 본 시스템에서는 학교 실험실에서 수행되는 실험교과목에 대한 다양한 주변 환경 및 실험방법에 대하여 지원 가능하도록 원격접근기능을 TCP/IP 프로토콜로 구현한 NUTOS를 실시간 운영체제를 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 MBL-NUTOS(Microprocessor Based Laboratory-NUT/OS)는 실시간 인터넷 접속이 가능하며 서버 또는 클라이언트로 활용 가능하도록 설계되었으며 실험을 통하여 본 플랫폼의 유용성을 입증하였다. 본 MBL 하드웨어 플랫폼에서는 기존의 마이크로프로세서 기반 실험 장치가 가지고 있지 않은 네트워크 접근기능이 구현되었으며 또한 실시간으로 실험 상황을 인터넷으로 억세스 할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 더욱이, 저비용 고집적도를 가지게 설계되어 일선 학교에서 용이하게 사용 할 수 있도록 하였으며, 학교 실험실에서 수행되는 실험이 미래 유비쿼터스 교육환경에 적용 가능하도록 하여 첨단 과학에 대한 학생들의 인지를 넓히는 주요 매개체로서 그 교육 효과를 높이도록 하였다.

Best Practice on Software Traceability Environment based on PaaS Cloud Service

  • In the software industry of Korean Small and Medium-sized Enterprise(SME)s, the development process is often not mature. This may lead to failures in quality control and output management. As a result, the quality of the software can be degraded. To solve the problem, the software visualization technique, which is from the National IT Industry Promotion Agency Software Engineering Center can be applied. We have experienced with mentoring not only the visualization of software development process, but also various visualization process of SMEs. However, the existing software visualization method was difficult to install environment and its time cost was high. This paper proposes a software visualization environment through a cloud service along with a case of building a software visualization environment. We expect that this method will make it easier to build a visualization environment and improve the quality of SME software.

Content Distribution for 5G Systems Based on Distributed Cloud Service Network Architecture

  • Future mobile communications face enormous challenges as traditional voice services are replaced with increasing mobile multimedia and data services. To address the vast data traffic volume and the requirement of user Quality of Experience (QoE) in the next generation mobile networks, it is imperative to develop efficient content distribution technique, aiming at significantly reducing redundant data transmissions and improving content delivery performance. On the other hand, in recent years cloud computing as a promising new content-centric paradigm is exploited to fulfil the multimedia requirements by provisioning data and computing resources on demand. In this paper, we propose a cooperative caching framework which implements State based Content Distribution (SCD) algorithm for future mobile networks. In our proposed framework, cloud service providers deploy a plurality of cloudlets in the network forming a Distributed Cloud Service Network (DCSN), and pre-allocate content services in local cloudlets to avoid redundant content transmissions. We use content popularity and content state which is determined by content requests, editorial updates and new arrivals to formulate a content distribution optimization model. Data contents are deployed in local cloudlets according to the optimal solution to achieve the lowest average content delivery latency. We use simulation experiments to validate the effectiveness of our proposed framework. Numerical results show that the proposed framework can significantly improve content cache hit rate, reduce content delivery latency and outbound traffic volume in comparison with known existing caching strategies.

Fast triangle flip bat algorithm based on curve strategy and rank transformation to improve DV-Hop performance

  • The information of localization is a fundamental requirement in wireless sensor network (WSN). The method of distance vector-hop (DV-Hop), a range-free localization algorithm, can locate the ordinary nodes by utilizing the connectivity and multi-hop transmission. However, the error of the estimated distance between the beacon nodes and ordinary nodes is too large. In order to enhance the positioning precision of DV-Hop, fast triangle flip bat algorithm, which is based on curve strategy and rank transformation (FTBA-TCR) is proposed. The rank is introduced to directly select individuals in the population of each generation, which arranges all individuals according to their merits and a threshold is set to get the better solution. To test the algorithm performance, the CEC2013 test suite is used to check out the algorithm's performance. Meanwhile, there are four other algorithms are compared with the proposed algorithm. The results show that our algorithm is greater than other algorithms. And this algorithm is used to enhance the performance of DV-Hop algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm receives the lower average localization error and the best performance by comparing with the other algorithms.

공용 클라우드 기반 PC 실습실 서비스의 실시간 비용 예측 모델 연구 (A Study on Realtime Cost Estimation Model of PC Laboratory Service based on Public Cloud)

  • IaaS는 인프라 하드웨어를 소유하지 않고 필요에 따라 임대하는 새로운 방식의 컴퓨팅 서비스로서 비용측면에서 매우 효율적인 것으로 알려져 있다. 일반적으로 사용량에 따른 과금 방식을 채택하므로 인프라 비용에 민감한 서비스를 운영하기에 적합하다. 이러한 서비스를 운영하는 책임자는 예상되는 소요 비용을 조기에 파악하여 클라우드 활용 정책을 적시에 변경하기를 원할 것이다. 그러나 클라우드 서비스 제공자들은 십수시간 지연된 과금 정보를 제공하여 신속한 대처가 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 가상 머신 인스턴스 수준에서 사용량을 모니터링하고 이에 기반하여 실시간 IaaS 비용 예측 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델 검증을 위하여 1학기 동안의 공용 클라우드 기반의 PC 실습실 서비스를 운용하였으며, 이를 통하여 부과된 실제 금액과의 차이는 평균 5.2% 이하임을 확인하였다.

항공고등학교 실습교육에서 연소실 분해 조립을 중심으로 고찰한 3D 학습 자료의 활용 방안 (Potential Use of 3D Course Material as a Pedagogical Tool for Laboratory Courses with respect to Assembly/Disassembly of the Combustion Chamber in Vocational High Schools)

  • 본 논문에서는 항공고등학교 정비실습 교육과정에서 Solidworks를 이용하여 제작한 3D 학습 자료를 활용하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 현행 교과서는 연소실분해조립 실습과정을 2D 사진을 기반으로 설명을 하고 있기 때문에 학생들이 입체로 조립되는 가스터빈 기관 연소실의 분해조립순서를 익히고, 부품 내부의 상호관계를 이해하는데 많은 어려움이 있다. 연소실은 가스터빈기관을 구성하는 주요 구성품중에서도 가장 중요한 핵심부품으로써 연소실 분해 조립 실습교육은 학생들이 정확하게 이해하고 학습해야만 한다. 제작된 3D 학습 자료에서는 정투상도 기법을 응용하여 연소실 부품과 같은 3차원 객체를 X, Y, Z 축을 기준으로 부품이 $360^{\circ}$ 회전하는 애니메이션을 제작해 학생들이 다양한 각도에서 회전하는 물체를 관찰할 수 있도록 하였으며, 학습효과를 높이기 위해 물체의 정면, 평면, 측면을 동시에 관찰할 수 있는 등각보기에서 부품의 회전 영상을 애니메이션으로 추가하였다. MS office power point 2007을 기반으로 전용 viewer를 제작하여 제작된 3D 학습 자료를 학생들이 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 하였으며 3D 학습 자료를 활용한 학습지도안을 제안하였다.
