2020년 1월 30일, 세계보건기구(World Health Organization)는 COVID-19의 확산이 "국제보건규정(International Health Regulations)" 제1조에 규정된 "국제적 공중보건 비상사태(Public Health Emergency of International Concern)"의 기준을 충족한다고 선언하고, 팬데믹 퇴치를 위한 다양한 예비 권고를 제안하였다. 이후 3월부터 팬데믹이 본격화되면서 (일부 국가에서는 마스크 착용이 법으로 금지되었음에도 불구하고) 갑자기 공공장소에서 마스크를 쓰라는 지시가 내려졌다. 경제·사회 환경이 예상치 못한 방향으로 바뀌면서 법조계에서도 화상심리 도입 등 조금씩 변화의 바람이 불기 시작했다. 아마도 COVID-19 이후에는 이전의 일상과는 매우 다른 모습으로 변화될 가능성이 크다. COVID-19가 국제중재 진행방식에도 영향을 미치고 있는바 관건은 이러한 영향이 몇 년 동안만 지속되는 일시적인 문제로 그칠 것인지, 아니면 COVID-19의 확산이 국제중재 진행방식의 전환점이 될 것인지가 의문이다. 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 본 연구는 COVID-19가 국제중재에 미치는 영향 및 효과를 고찰하고, 향후 전망을 제시한다.

본 연구의 목적은 제2차 세계대전 이후의 국제정치질서와 국제항공질서를 비교하여, 한미항공협정에 미친 영향력을 찾아보고, 향후의 국제항공협정의 전망을 해 보는것이다. 현실주의 국제정치와 국제항공정책의 패권적 힘에 의한 국제항공질서의 편성에서 2차 대전 이후의 한미 항공협정이 강대국의 영향력에서 불균형하게 형성된 것에서 시작하여, 1970년대 후반의 신 현실주의의 영향력에서 형성된 국제항공 자유화정책에 따라 1979년도의 한미항공협정의 개정을 통해서 상당한 개방의 방향으로 개정되었다. 그리고 1990년대의 국제정치의 구성주의적 협력의 정치의 영향으로 미국과 네델란드 간의 항공자유화협정을 시작으로 상호협력을 위한 인식의 공유와 전문지식의 공유를 통해서 이제 사용자를 위한 국제항공협정으로 개정 발전되어 왔다. 향후로는 보다 시민이나 이용자를 위한 항공협정으로 발전하게 될 것으로 전망하고 있다.

본 연구에서는 페이스북 접속동기가 페이스북 사용후 대인관계 변화와 페이스북의 지속적 사용의도에 어떻게 영향을 미치는 지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 목적으로 부산 및 경남지역 대학생 420명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 확인된 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 관계유지를 위한 페이스북 접속동기와 사회적 압력에 의한 페이스북 접속동기가 페이스북 사용후 대인관계변화에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 습관적 이용에 의한 페이스북 접속동기가 페이스북의 지속적 사용의도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 관계유지를 위한 페이스북 접속동기와 사회적 압력에 의한 페이스북 접속동기가 사용후 대인관계의 변화를 통하여 간접적으로 페이스북의 지속적 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 관계유지를 위한 페이스북 접속동기와 사회적 압력에 의한 페이스북 접속동기가 페이스북 사용후 대인관계변화를 유발하는 요인으로서 작용할 수 있으며, 관계유지를 위한 페이스북 접속동기와 사회적 압력에 의한 페이스북 접속동기가 페이스북 사용후 대인관계를 변화시켜 페이스북을 지속적으로 사용하게 됨을 밝혔다는 데에 연구의 의의가 있다.

Chinese retailing enterprises have been facing a tough competition from foreign retail giants since China entered WTO. They must change their traditional ways of doing business and adopt new information technologies and electronic commerce in order to survive. This paper analyzes the current situation and the problems in Chinese retailing enterprises, including the cultural, the social, the technological and the environmental aspects. It gives strategies, tactics and countermeasures of E-Commerce development for Chinese retailing enterprises.

This paper examines the perceptions of sustainability, which is conceptualised as cross-generational social preferences, on the formation of international environmental agreements (IEAs) in a two-stage game in two periods. There are two scenarios are considered: myopic and sustainable development scenarios. The myopic scenario assumes the decision makers only concern the present welfare. Whilst the scenario of sustainable development has two characters: cross-generational fairness and altruism. When both are taken into account, a coalition will be expanded. The numerical example indicates that the marginal cost of the total emissions is the crucial factor for the formation of IEAs. Only when the marginal cost is low, a sustainable system can be succeeded. While, the technological advancement may lead to a more efficient production per unit of emissions, it also encourages countries to emit more in total and have a lower level of welfare. The results confirm the importance of sustainability to IEAs. The lesson learnt from this study is: when decision makers are myopic, the system is unsustainable even if an IEA is formed. Only when the perception of sustainability is considered, the system could be sustainable. Regardless of the existence of IEAs, international environmental conventions shall not neglect the fundamental goal to pursue sustainable development.

The aim of this study is to examine and compare Koreans and Japanese creativities in advertising. It was to analyze empirically their creativities appreciated in 200 TV commercials broadcasted between 1992 and 1998. The content analysis, was a useful process, provided very important clues for comparative analysis. Many difference were found in the examined TV commercials in Korea and Japan. It showed major difference in ways in which the level of noise, the using of cuts, social space, camera work, etc. except preference of jingle, colors, elements of tradition. The most distinctive difference is that the Japanese TV commercials deal with atmosphere than the Korean commercials. This result may help to explain a common social phenomenon of not losing the original culture in each society, as a result of "international acculturation" and the subsequent "indigenization by adaptive change"

Objectives: This study aims to explain the process of photovoice, to review relevant research cases, and to discuss the issues in photovoice applications for community health promotion. Methods: Literature review is performed on photovoice manuals, systematic review literature on international photovoice research, and Korean photovoice studies. The review was based on 8 research papers and 6 practice manuals. Results: Photovoice so far has specified its orientation to participatory research. Its implementation includes photovoice training, photo taking and sharing, interviews and discussions, photo exhibit, and social action planning for policy change. SHOWeD questions and the like guide photovoice discussions while they face some challenges in application. Social action planning for policy change part of the photovoice needs attention in implementation and evaluation. Conclusions: Adherence to the participatory principles and action research orientation in photovoice requires persistent efforts. Process and impact evaluation with development of photovoice research infrastructure will enhance photovoice application.

In the global context, particularly in Christian nations, Christmas is considered a culturally and ethically significant time. In this study, we examine Charles Dickens' novel, "A Christmas Carol," and the celebration of Christmas in Korea. We explore the values of Christmas in Korea derived from the significance and importance of this novel. These values include repentance, empathy, compassion, and the importance of humanity. Korean Christmas is regarded as a time for practicing these values, bearing a message akin to the transformation of characters like Scrooge. Furthermore, "A Christmas Carol" conveys a message of improvement and change over time, emphasizing change and growth in Korean Christmas. People reflect on their past, correct their mistakes, nurture hope for the future, and experience personal growth and transformation. Additionally, the novel raises awareness of social injustice and inequality, offering alternatives. In Korean society, Christmas encourages the willingness to care for and help others, facilitating discussions and understanding of societal issues. For these reasons, "A Christmas Carol" is considered a culturally and ethically significant time in Korean Christmas, and the two are intertwined in various aspects. This study explores the interaction between cultural change and ethical teachings by 'A Christmas Carol' and investigates the impact of this work on Christmas culture and social change. It serves as the basis for emphasizing moral principles and humanity during the Christmas season, and this research provides suggestions for future research directions, aiming to deepen the understanding of Dickens' work and the importance of "A Christmas Carol." Through these efforts, it is expected that valuable insights into the connection between Christmas culture and moral messages will be gained. In this study, we will delve into the enduring appeal and cultural significance of "A Christmas Carol," discussing how this novel has evolved into a beloved holiday tradition and a true symbol of Christmas. We will also examine the adaptation of this novel into various media and its influence on holiday season celebrations. Insights into the impact of this novel on Korean society and its continued significance in modern times will be provided, suggesting a direction for a healthier and more desirable path for Korean society.

개방, 참여, 공유로 대표되는 웹2.0 인터넷 흐름 속에 새롭게 세간의 화두가 되면서 급성장하고 있는 소셜 미디어, 모바일 미디어 환경 속에서 경제, 사회, 문화는 물론, 정치 분야에도 전반적이고 다양한 변화를 꾀하여야 한다. 한국은 과거의 IT기술력을 바탕으로 새로 다가오고 있는 소셜미디어 환경 속에서도 세계 시장에서 선도적인 역할을 해나가는 위치를 찾아 가고 있다. 우리 국민은 과거 IT 분야에서 새로운 제품에 대한 Early Adopter역할을 해내어 국제 사회에 관심을 끌은바 있다. 급속히 변하해가는 소셜미디어 환경 속에서 정치 분야에서도 이에 맞는 방식으로 친 국민 의사소통 방식이 이루어 질수 있도록 노력해야 한다. 스마트 시민 정당 조직으로서의 비전을 정비하고 소셜미디어 전략을 마련하고 실행하는 등 변화의 노력을 시도하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 소셜미디어 환경 속에서 어떠한 방법론으로 변해야 보다 더 친밀하게 국민에게 다가가고 국민과 하나가 되는 성공을 거둘 수 있는가에 대해 연구하고 방향을 제시 해 보고자 한다. 이 연구가 기존 정부 운영이나 정당 운영 방식에 대해 되돌아보게 하고 소셜미디어 환경에 맞는 효율적인 운영 전략을 되새겨 보게 하는 데 일조하게 될 것이다.

This study examines the interplay between the reactions of YouTube users and North Korean propaganda. Interesting enough, the study has noticed changes in the strict media environment under young leader Kim. Messages delivered by the communist regime to the outside world appeared to resemble those of 'normal' countries. Although North Korean YouTube was led mainly by the account operator, visitors from different nations do comment on the channel, which suggests the possibility of building international communities for propaganda purposes. Overall, the study observed a sparsely connected social network among ordinary commenters. However, the operator did not exercise tight control over peer-to-peer communication but merely answered questions and tried to facilitate mass participation. In contrast to the many news clips, the documentary content on North Korea's YouTube channel did not explicitly advocate for North Korea's current political positions.
