레저활동을 위한 액션캠 사용자 경험 디자인 연구 (A study on action cam user experience design for leisure activities)

  • 이 연구는 최근 증가하는 레저활동에서 사용되는 액션캠의 기능에 관한 사용자 경험 디자인 연구이다. 사용하기 편리하게 발전하는 동영상 플랫폼과 함께 액션캠의 시장규모도 함께 커지고 있다. 하지만, 어떤 기능의 품질이 사용자 경험을 높여 주는지에 관한 연구가 미비하다. 따라서 카노 모델(Kano Model)의 분석 방법과 심층 인터뷰를 실행하여 사용자 경험 요소에 따른 액션캠 기능을 분류하였고, 기능별로 만족도 조사를 진행하여 액션캠의 기능에 따른 품질의 정도가 사용자의 경험에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 어떤 기능이 먼저 개선되어야 하고, 또한 어떤 기능이 지속적인 연구와 투자가 이루어져야 하는지를 알 수 있었다. 본 연구가 사용자 중심의 액션캠 개발 시 유용한 정보로 활용되기를 기대한다.

재활용 분리배출에 따른 분리 체계 가이드라인 제안 (Suggestion of Guidelines for Separation System According to Recycling Separate Discharge)

  • 본 연구는 재활용 의무 대상 제품 포장재의 재활용 분리 체계에 대하여 사용자 관점에서 새로운 디자인 가이드라인을 제시하는 것이다. 국내 사례는 현행법과 재활용 분리배출에 대한 문헌을 사전 연구하였고, 국외 사례는 아시아, 유럽, 북아메리카 대륙에서 재활용 분리배출에 대한 성과를 거둔 도시를 각각 1개씩 선정 조사하였다. 사용자의 긍정적인 참여 결과의 피드백과 올바른 분리배출에 관한 보상이라는 사용자 중심 디자인관점에서 ID(Identification) 사용자 분리배출 체계를 제안한다. 이 체계는 명시된 개인식별 코드가 부착된 분리배출 전용 용기와 개인용 애플리케이션을 이용한다. 사용자는 분리배출 전용 용기에 기재된 분리배출 표시와 분리배출 요령에 따라 해당 분리배출 품목을 전용 용기에 배출하며, 선별처리 결과가 사용자에게 통보되고, 이에 따른 보상이 이루어지는 체계이다. 이 분리배출 체계는 사용자의 적극적인 참여를 유발할 수 있는 분리배출 체계라는 의미를 가진다.

uTradeHub 활성화 방안에 관한 실증 분석 (An Emperical Study on Activation of uTradehub)

  • As the rapid development of IT and the internet changed the trading method from the traditional offline transaction into the online e-Trading, the international documentation standards, the eUCP and the domestic laws and legislations have been established, adapting to the new e-Trading environment. This study was conducted to analyze the factors which affect the use of uTradeHub on the domestic trading companies and trade-related organizations and suggest how to activate e-Trading. To do this, classify the users into the enterprises and the trade-related organizations, set up the hypothesis of the study with the measurement variables of the user convenience, the new service, the system suitability and the legislation environment and carry out a survey targeting the trading companies and the trade-related offices to do an actual proof analysis. The analysis was performed by using the statistical program, SPSS IBM22.0, and the study hypothesis was tested by the multiple regression analysis methodology. The test result showed that the trading companies set a high value on the user convenience, the new service and the legislation environment of uTradeHub, meanwhile the trade-related organizations regarded the system security and reliability, the user convenience and the legislation environment as the major affecting factor on the use of uTradeHub.

진주 국제 농식품 박람회의 이용자 평가 분석 (User analysis for Jinju international agriculture & food EXPO 2013)

  • In Korea, many local governments has hosted the agriculture and/or food EXPO for the promotion of agro-food industry. Some EXPOs were successful to achieve their initial goal, but others were severely criticized due to wasting budget without outcome. The comprehensive debates and studies for the better management of EXPOs are required. The purpose of this paper is to analyze users for Jinju international agriculture & food EXPO 2013 and to suggest the strategies for the development of this EXPO. Survey analyses for two groups (enterprises and audiences) were conducted for this research. The results of studies present a few findings: First, the differentiated strategies for each groups (enterprises and audiences) should be developed. Second, EXPO need to attract more participants from the whole country. Third, the methods of advertisement should be improved, especially on-line ads. Fourth, various complains from participants, which are collected via surveys, need to be handled.

대학도서관의 다국어 맞춤형 서비스가 중국인 유학생의 이용자 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Customized Multilingual Services of Academic Libraries on the User Satisfaction of Chinese Students)

  • 대학도서관은 유학생들이 학습 자원을 얻는 가장 주요한 정보원에 속하므로 유학생들의 학업에 미치는 영향이 크다. 그러나 현재 대다수의 대학도서관은 영어를 제외한 다국어 지원 서비스를 적절히 제공하지 않기 때문에 영어가 모국어가 아닌 유학생들의 학업 수행을 어렵게 만들 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학도서관 서비스 중 다국어로 제공할 수 있는 서비스를 유학생 맞춤형 서비스로 정의하고, 이러한 맞춤형 서비스가 대학도서관 이용자 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 더 나아가서, 본 연구는 유학생 맞춤형 서비스를 적절히 제공하고 있는 대학도서관의 유학생들과 그렇지 않은 대학도서관의 유학생들의 이용자 만족도를 비교하였다. 이를 위해 서로 다른 두 대학에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생을 대상으로 설문 조사하여 총 138부의 응답을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 유학생 맞춤형 서비스가 유학생의 대학도서관 이용 만족도에 영향을 미친다는 것을 발견하였다. 특히, 다국어 서비스의 지원은 안내 책자/표지판, 홈페이지를 통한 자료 접근 및 이용, 그리고 이용자 교육 등과 같은 서비스에 대한 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학도서관이 유학생들의 학업 활동을 효과적으로 지원하는 서비스에 대한 실질적 함의를 시사한다.

User modeling based on fuzzy category and interest for web usage mining

  • Web usage mining is a research field for searching potentially useful and valuable information from web log file. Web log file is a simple list of pages that users refer. Therefore, it is not easy to analyze user's current interest field from web log file. This paper presents web usage mining method for finding users' current interest based on fuzzy categories. We consider not only how many times a user visits pages but also when he visits. We describe a user's current interest with a fuzzy interest degree to categories. Based on fuzzy categories and fuzzy interest degrees, we also propose a method to cluster users according to their interests for user modeling. For user clustering, we define a category vector space. Experiments show that our method properly reflects the time factor of users' web visiting as well as the users' visit number.

A Dynamic Ontology-based Multi-Agent Context-Awareness User Profile Construction Method for Personalized Information Retrieval

  • With the increase in amount of data and information available on the web, there have been high demands on personalized information retrieval services to provide context-aware services for the web users. This paper proposes a novel dynamic multi-agent context-awareness user profile construction method based on ontology to incorporate concepts and properties to model the user profile. This method comprehensively considers the frequency and the specific of the concept in one document and its corresponding domain ontology to construct the user profile, based on which, a fuzzy c-means clustering method is adopted to cluster the user's interest domain, and a dynamic update policy is adopted to continuously consider the change of the users' interest. The simulation result shows that along with the gradual perfection of the our user profile, our proposed system is better than traditional semantic based retrieval system in terms of the Recall Ratio and Precision Ratio.

  • Recently, the study of smart phone user habits has become a highly focused topic due to the rapid growth of the smart phone market. Indeed, sequential pattern analysis methods were efficiently used for web-based user habit mining long time ago. However, by means of simulations, it has been observed that these methods might fail for smart phone-based user habit mining. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that leads to a considerably increased performance of the traditional sequential pattern analysis methods by reasonably cutting off each chronological sequence of user logs on a device into shorter ones, which represent the sequential user activities in various periods of a day.

Use Case Elicitation Method Using "When" Sentences from User Reviews

  • User review sites are spaces where users can freely post and share their opinions, which are trusted by many people and directly influence sales. In addition, they overcome the limitations arising from existing requirements collection and are able to gather the needs of large numbers of different people at a low cost. Therefore, such sites are attracting attention as new spaces for understanding user needs. In a previous study, a user review analysis was attempted using 5W and 1H, and we inferred that a sentence containing "when" has special information based on the user experience. In addition, the requirements of the derivative activities in a user review can identify more user needs than the general requirements of derivative activities. In this paper, we propose a systematic method of deriving "when" sentences contain meaningful information from user reviews and converting them into use cases, which is one of the requirements of a specification method. This method converts unstructured data into structured data such that it can be included as the user requirements during software development from user comments expressed in natural language. This method will reduce project failures and increase the likelihood of success by enabling an efficient collection and analysis of user needs from valuable user reviews.

User Experience Validation Using the Honeycomb Model in the Requirements Development Stage

  • Recently, the importance of user experience (UX) has been rapidly increasing. Its utilization is emphasized for development of systems, products, and services. User experience is widely used across industries including services, products, processes, society, and culture. Therefore, if it is unsatisfactory, it is likely to have a direct negative impact on the corresponding system, product, or service. The failure to analyze user experience causes significant damage to the project, which may lead to its failure or redevelopment; it is hence necessary to prioritize the verification of UX in the earliest stages of development. The requirements development stage, which is a preceding stage, is an appropriate stage for the verification of user experience because the identification of user needs is completed and prototypes can be implemented. In this paper, we proposed a systematic requirements development stage; it adds user experience verification activities to the requirements development stage, using the Honeycomb model, which is a widely used tool for verifying the overall UX. User experience verification was added to the existing requirements development activities, which consisted of three steps: model definition and requirements placement, discussions between external and internal stakeholders, and review by internal stakeholders. By easily validating the user experience through this systematic requirements development stage, we expect to minimize the damage to the project due to the failure of the user experience analysis and increase the possibility of success.
