This paper analyzes how the international callback services affect on the international telecommunications market. We present a simple game-theoretic model to compare the equilibrium outcomes before and after the arrival of callback operator. We find that the callback service arises from the inefficiencies in the national telecommunications market and the accounting rate system between international telecommunications carriers. Also, we identify the conflicting interests among the governments and carriers, by examining how the callback service affects the collection rate, quantities demanded, carrier's profit and social welfare of each country.

The revised ISO9000 family of standards represents a significant improvement on the 1994 version and, if implemented well within organizations, should facilitate the development of effective, process-oriented Quality Management Systems. This paper describes how the International Standardized Testing Organization (ISTO) tests the understanding of ISO9000 : 2000, and presents an analysis of the results of the first examinations held in the UK, USA, Mexico and Hong Kong, in February and March 2001.

For international projects in general and the projects in the Gulf area in Particular, the most common cause of construction disputes and claims is construction delay. This paper will present different surveys to identify the causes of delay, the parties responsible, and how delay can be avoided. This paper will outline how these factors impact damage assessment and entitlement. Furthermore, a case study will be presented to show how the responsibility and damages due to delay are assessed and how entitlements are calculated.

In Korea-U.S.A. FTA Negotiation, U.S.A. request to eliminate barriers of tariffs and non-tariff in trade of cosmetics. Korea applies tariffs of 8% on most cosmetics and personal care products. There are some non-tariffs barriers in cosmetics trade between Korea and U.S.A., for example, transparency on restriction and regulatory, cosmeceuticals, import clearance review, quality control testing, ingredient labelling. Tariffs of 8% on most cosmetics should be eliminated, a proviso of complementary measures on sanitation of Korean people about imported cosmetics. This is a meaning of reformation of prior management(tariffs) by strong ex post management in cosmetics trade. It is important that Korea should construct system of ex post management, for instance, construction of data base on manufacturer, importer, bland name of cosmetics and all ingredients of cosmetics. This is concerned with labelling of cosmetics and cosmeceutical and publication of Korean edition of INCI(International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredient).

With the rapidly increasing of Korean enterprises, the importance of foreign exchange(FX) risk management for the future operation generated from FDI contract is becoming the critical problem of international business. This type of FX risk, called as "economic exposure risk", requires us of the unique risk management principles and techniques. In this paper, we identify the properties of economic exchange rate exposure, analyze the identification and measurement processes of risk sources and strength, and perform the estimation of the main determinants and its profile effects of the invoicing currency for the efficient management of economic FX exposure.

Research sponsored by the Korean Government investigated the establishment of a risk management process by Korean contractors involved with plant projects in the Middle East. This research effort builds upon the work completed by the Construction Industry Institute (CII), called the International Project Risk Assessment (IPRA) tool and method, and also explored how CII's Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) could be incorporated to improve project planning by addressing risks and scope development issues. Specific findings and recommendations were developed including the creation of the Contractor Critical Areas of Concern (CCAC) risk screening tool for Korean contractors pursuing Middle East oil and gas projects.

The Japanese construction industry has faced on lack of quality that is one of the strong confidence fields. It is said that the main reason of this trend is in the case of construction supervisor's defects. But real problems are both the degree of drawing's completion and design activities in construction phase by architect. The purpose of this paper examines that the role of construction supervisor in Japan is changing to the management field and construction conformation, based on the analysis of the WBS based on international comparison among Korea, China, the UK, the US, and Japan.

Purpose - This paper mainly studied the role of the logistics legal system in promoting international transport logistics, building marine economy international cooperation demonstration zone and deepening the economic and financial cooperation etc between China and Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - The study conducted a survey on China and Korea's 2012-2017 years data. After empirically analyzing the data, we believe that cultural industry in Korea and China will maintain its growth momentum. Results - This study explored the way to establish an integrated logistics system between China and Korea to match the e-commerce certification system, online payment system and logistic distribution, thereby gradually promoting economic development and logistics integration in Asia. Conclusions- China-Korea FTA can encourage private flow to take on enterprises. In terms of improving logistics efficiency, reducing logistics costs and establishing a unified logistics industry standardization system. This will accelerate logistics industry integration in Northeast Asia, build a unified logistics management center in Northeast Asia, and promote a new model of integrated logistics cooperation in Northeast Asia. Therefore, it has a practical and reference significance.

International Roughness Index (IRI) has been widely used by state DOTs to quantify pavement smoothness. When pavement condition falls below certain IRI thresholds, corresponding pavement maintenance treatments should be considered for application. Selection of appropriate IRI thresholds is essential to tactical allocation of limited resources to improve the conditions of states' roadway systems. This selection process is often challenging, however, because IRI thresholds are largely determined by Perceived Ride Quality (PRQ), and PRQ differs in each state. In this paper, a framework is proposed to address this problem. Passenger raters will be randomly selected from predetermined geographic locations, and their PRQ ratings collected. Taking this perceived ride data, along with other data collected, a statistical analysis will be conducted to establish the relationship between measured IRI values and PRQ. Appropriate IRI thresholds will then be determined. Once this framework is implemented, state DOTs could make informative maintenance decisions, which are expected to greatly enhance the public perception of pavement conditions in today's challenging economy.

The Internet of Things (IoT) enables the connection of millions of disparate devices to the World Wide Web. To perform the task, a lot of smart gadgets must work together. The gadgets recognize other devices as part of their network service. Keeping participating devices safe is a crucial component of the internet of things. When gadgets communicate with one another, they require a promise of confidence. Trust provides certainty that the gadgets or objects will function as expected. Trust management is more difficult than security management. This review includes a thorough examination of trust management in a variety of situations.
