One of the most important inventions and developments in the digital world today is the healthcare system based on blockchain technology. Healthcare is an important field that requires the application of security mechanisms due to the sensitivity of patient data. The association of blockchain with healthcare contributed to achieving better security mechanisms than the traditional approach. The new approach operates in a decentralized system, which in turn, improves security in the healthcare environment. Consequently, blockchain technology has emerged as one of the most crucial solutions to security violations and challenges in the healthcare industry. This paper provides a comprehensive review of several experts' recent protection and detection approaches in this domain. It is also imperative to note that the paper focuses only on the recent techniques that have been published during 2017-2020. The sophisticated procedures have been investigated and discussed in terms of similarities and differences to highlight the significance of the protection needed to secure the healthcare environment.

This study's principal goal is to find the interrelation between transparency & disclosure (TD) and the healthcare sector's firm valuation (FV). The paper uses the market-to-book (MTB) ratio and market capitalization as proxies, where sales measure act as a control variable. Dynamic panel data regression (PD) is the method applied for analyzing data. Data pertains to 10 healthcare companies gathered over five years (2016-2020). Results imply that TD has a negative and significant influence on the FV, where market capitalization acts as a proxy for valuation. This association indicates that a greater degree of TD diminishes FV. TD is also reported to have a negative and insignificant association with MTB. Therefore, TD does not influence FV. The findings of this paper have significant practical implications. Results can help policymakers determine mandatory disclosure levels that are not detrimental to the healthcare sector. Managers and analysts must also analyze the dimensions of disclosure that can negatively impact the firm's valuation and make decisions regarding TD accordingly. This is the first study to assess the influence of TD on the FV of the Indian healthcare sector, which makes it unique. This study is limited to the healthcare sector, which is its shortcoming.

Competition assures improved products and services to meet customers' needs. The soundness of a firm's financial health is crucial for the country's economic well-being. Distressed companies cause investor panic, which has a knock-on effect on the economy and leads to a deterioration in the image and value of the companies. This paper aims to empirically investigate the influence of competition on financial distress (FD) in the healthcare industry using the Altman Zscore values as the proxy for FD. This study uses secondary data from ten healthcare companies operating in India between 2016 and 2020. The study's findings indicate a significant negative relation with the exogenous variables of the study, implying that a higher level of competition enhances a firm's FD or adversely affects financial health. The main implication of the study is two-pronged. Firstly, the firms' managers and decision-makers need not worry about competition as a deterrent to stability. Secondly, the policymakers need not be concerned that high competition may lead to financial stress for the firms. Therefore, this paper concludes that competition is good for firms operating in India.

The main purpose of the article is to determine the role of the digitalization phenomenon (its positive and negative sides) as a means of anti-corruption policy in the healthcare sector of Ukraine and provide practical recommendations for transforming the domestic healthcare sector based on digitalization through the implementation of organizational and legal measures. The definitions of such concepts as: corruption in the healthcare sector; digitalization; digitalization of the healthcare sector; e-medicine. A typology of reasons for promoting the development of corruption in the healthcare sector of modern Ukraine is given. As a result of the study, a number of scientific tasks were implemented. The negative side of the introduction of digitalization in the healthcare sector has been identified and illustrated. The types of e-services in the healthcare sector are systematized, each of them is characterized and the fundamental directions of their development are indicated. The existing problems of technostress are characterized (techno-overload; techno-invasion; techno-complexity; techno-insecurity; techno-uncertainty). In the context of considering digitalization as a means of anti-corruption policy in the healthcare sector, practical organizational and legal measures are proposed for implementation.

Modernization of the medical healthcare system, through the use of technology, has become an important field of study today. The healthcare system is intended to efficiently deliver care and services to consumers. It is such that the healthcare system is defined as an industry which provides health services (health activities) so as to meet the health needs and demands of individuals, the family and the community. In this study, transforming healthcare so as to better meet the needs of patients will require changes in the strength of delivering care for patients who already have good access to services, while also improving the care for patients who find it harder to get the care they need.

The current progression in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning (ML) based technologies converted the traditional healthcare system into a smart healthcare system. The incorporation of IoT and ML has changed the way of treating patients and offers lots of opportunities in the healthcare domain. In this view, this research article presents a new IoT and ML-based disease diagnosis model for the diagnosis of different diseases. In the proposed model, vital signs are collected via IoT-based smart medical devices, and the analysis is done by using different data mining techniques for detecting the possibility of risk in people's health status. Recommendations are made based on the results generated by different data mining techniques, for high-risk patients, an emergency alert will be generated to healthcare service providers and family members. Implementation of this model is done on Anaconda Jupyter notebook by using different Python libraries in it. The result states that among all data mining techniques, SVM achieved the highest accuracy of 0.897 on the same dataset for classification of Parkinson's disease.
This study analyzes the research trends and evaluates the specialized characteristics of the journal of Korea healthcare architecture. Total 308 papers from 1995(Vol.1) to 2010(Vol.16) were analyzed by following seven criteria: (1) research focus by analyzing the key words of each paper; (2) research method(qualitative and quantitative research); (3) research nature(practical/prescriptive vs. theoretical/normative); (4) research target(healthcare, welfare, and others); (5) researcher characteristics(position, major, and numbers of author); (6) supported research(in-university, out-of-university, and out-of-pocket funds); and (7) international study. The research findings include followings. First, research focus lies in the function of healthcare and welfare facilities. Second, qualitative method is the dominant form of research. Third, practical/prescriptive research continuously increases. Fourth, research target is mainly a healthcare facility, while the research of welfare facility is increasing. Fifth, the considerable numbers of first author are graduate students. Sixth, out-of-university research funds increase. Finally, international studies related to Japan are mostly published.
Smart hospitals involve the use of recent ICT (information and communications technology) technologies to improve healthcare access, efficiency, and effectiveness. Standardization in smart hospital technologies is crucial for interoperability, scalability, policy formulation, quality control, and maintenance. Korea's leadership in smart hospital technology were highlighted. Approaches for standardizing smart hospitals were proposed. Finally, potential new international standard items for robotics in smart hospitals were identified and categorized by function: sampling, remote operation, delivery, disinfection, and movement tracking/contact tracing. Standardization in smart hospital technologies is crucial for ensuring interoperability, scalability, ethical use of artificial intelligence, and quality control. Implementing international standards in smart hospitals is expected to benefit individuals, healthcare institutions, nations, and industry by improving healthcare access, quality, and competitiveness.
Purpose: Although numerous research has covered content on trends in the adoption and use of wearable devices, their uses across several sectors such as healthcare, gaming, and fashion, there seems to be a considerable paucity with regard to empirical research focusing on the solutions for factors that undermine the effectiveness of wearable devices in healthcare. The present research aims to highlight what has been covered on wearable devices in healthcare while highlighting the limitations for future research. Research design, data, and methodology -The present authors conducted one of the most famous qualitative literature approach which has been called as PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) statement. The selecting criteria for eligible prior studies was estimated by whether studies are suitable for the current research, identifying they are peer-reviewed and issued by notable publishers between 2017 and 2022. Result - Our results indicated that (1) Increasing the Affordability and User Education on Wearable Devices in Healthcare (2) Tackling the Technological Issues in Wearable Devices to Promote Healthcare Delivery (3) Solving Security and Privacy Issues Associated with Wearable Devices (4) Promoting Standards and Appropriate Regulations for Wearable Devices. Conclusion - To add, resolving the technological issues associated with wearable devices in healthcare will ensure that the new devices in the market will have longer battery life, multiple functions, and enhanced accuracy, thus ensuring that patients receive better care. Necessary interventions are taken on time to avoid any deleterious consequences such as proliferating mortality rates among the different patient groups.
