소형 원자로용 모듈화 격납구조의 내압성능 분석 (Analysis of Internal Pressure Capacity of Modular Containment Structure for Small Modular Reactor)

  • 격납구조는 사고시 방사능 유출을 막기 위해 내압성능을 확보해야 하므로 소형 원자로용 격납구조에 모듈 방식을 적용하기 위해서는 내압성능의 분석이 필요하다. 따라서 소형 원자로용 모듈화 격납구조의 내압성능 분석을 위해 프리캐스트 콘크리트 모듈과 모듈 사이의 연결부 접촉면과 긴장재 배치를 고려한 FEM모델을 작성하고 정적해석을 수행한다. 이를 통해 모듈화 격납구조의 하중단계별 변위 및 응력의 변화특성을 분석한다. 그리고 변수 분석을 위해 선정된 각 변수가 모듈화 격납구조의 내압성능에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 비교를 위해 일체화 격납구조의 내압성능도 함께 분석한다. FEM해석을 통한 변수 분석을 통해 긴장력 크기, 긴장재 배치 간격, 콘크리트 두께방향 긴장재 위치, 연결부 접촉면 마찰 계수 크기, 콘크리트 두께 등과 같은 변수 값의 범위가 제시되었다. 모듈화 격납구조의 모듈 간 접촉면에서 합성효과를 발생시켜주는 주요인자는 긴장재에 의한 긴장력과 연결부 접촉면의 마찰력이다. 일체화 격납구조 대비 추가적인 긴장재배치를 통해 긴장력을 증가시키면 모듈화 격납구조에서도 일체화 격납구조와 동등 수준의 내압성능을 확보할 수 있다.

내부마찰각과 토압 산정방법에 따른 철도교대의 안정성 비교 연구 (Stability of Railway Bridge Abutment with Earth Pressure and Internal Friction Angle of Backfill)

  • 본 연구에서는 철도 교대를 위한 표준단면을 선정하고, 선정된 단면에 대하여 토압산정방법과 내부마찰각에 따른 직배면과 가상배면에 작용하는 주동토압을 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 기존토압과 개량시행쐐기법의 토압을 이용하여 내부마찰각에 따른 교대의 외적 안정성, 부재력 및 경제성을 분석하였다. 본 연구로부터 가상배면에서의 주동토압은 직배면에서의 주동토압보다 크며, 내부마찰각이 증가함에 따라 감소한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 기존토압(Rankine, Coulomb, 시행쐐기법) 및 개량토압(개량시행쐐기법) 모두 내부마찰각이 증가함에 따라 부재력은 크게 감소하였고, 경제성은 향상되는 것으로 평가되었다.

PRD 강환 말뚝의 연직지지력 특성에 관한 사례 연구 (Case Study on the Characteristics of Vertical Bearing Capacity for Steel Pipe Pile Installed by PRD)

  • Construction case of PRD (Percussion Rotary Drill) pipe pile and matters to be attended in construction of PRD pile were reviewed. The compressive and uplifting static pile load tests for PRD piles were performed and, also, analysis by Pile Driving Analyzer was done. Based on these results, bearing components in each resisting part (that is: steel toe, external skin, and internal skin) were measured separately. The measured resisting force was compared to the value calculated by the estimated formula. The pile capacity was mobilized in steel toe area and the external skin friction and the internal friction were not produced. Thus, it could be considered that toe of PRD pile should be supported in hard bearing stratum (for example, the fresh soft rock).

  • The plunge joints of C.V. Joint for vehicle tend to produce a cyclic axial disturbance at a frequency of three of six times shaft speed, in which this distrubance caused by internal frictional effect is related to joint angle, rotational speed, torque, and joint size. This principal axial thrust force might make vehicle shuddered when coinciding with vehicle frequency of tranverse direction, and be one of reasons to have driver feel uncomfortable, unesay, while driving vehicle. The paper makes analysis of axial thrust force & vehicle shudder through computer simulation, comparing the result with experimental data, and reviewing the effect by changing of variables such as dimensions and driving conditions.

자동차용 등속 조인트의 내부 마찰 모델 개발 (Development of Internal Friction Model in Automotive Constant Velocity Joints)

  • An internal friction model was developed to model the frictional behavior of automotive Constant Velocity (CV) joints by using the test data from an instrumented CV joint friction apparatus with actual driveshaft assemblies. Experiments were conduced under different realistic operating conditions of oscillatory speeds, CV joint articulation angles, lubrication, and torque. The experimental data were used to develop a physics-based semi-empirical CV joint internal friction coefficient model as a function of different CV Joint operating parameters. It was found that the proposed friction model captures the experimental results well not only the static behavior of friction coefficient, but also the dynamic friction terms, which is the main source of force that causes vehicle vibration problems.

Micro-PIV measurement of internal flow in a micro droplet

  • Visualization and PIV measurements of the symmetrical recirculation flow in a nanoliter-sized droplet have been performed using the micro PIV system. The airflow sweeps over the nanoliter-sized liquid droplet fixed in a microchannel and the frictional force drags the liquid on the round interface, which causes the symmetrical recirculation flow in the droplet. The internal recirculation flow in the droplet has been visualized and measured successfully. The results of micro PIV measurement show the maximum speed of the recirculation flow is up to 10 mm/s. The high-speed recirculation can enhance a stirring effect and generate strong shear in the droplet, resulting in acceleration of mixing.

내연기관 피스톤 링의 2차원 윤활 해석 (Two Dimensional Analysis for Lubrication of the Piston Ring of Internal Combustion Engine)

  • This paper considers two dimensional analysis for lubrication between the single piston ring and the cylinder liner. The piston ring is treated as a reciprocating, hydrodynamic bearing with combined sliding and squeeze motion. Reynolds' equation is used, to model lubrication with Reynolds' cavitation boundary condition. This analysis is developed to get the cyclic variation of minimum film thickness and viscous frictional force. Two types of piston ring face shape are considered. This result can be used to study the influence of ring shape design parameter to improve the characteristics of sealing and lubrication.

구조물 내진보강을 위한 다중 마찰댐퍼의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Multi-Friction Dampers for Seismic Retrofitting of Structures)

  • 이 연구는 구조물 내진보강 장치의 하나인 마찰댐퍼에 관한 것으로, 내부 마찰재를 복합재료의 일종인 초고분자량 폴리에틸렌으로 대체하여 댐퍼를 개발하였다. 또한 마찰력이 발생하는 내부 구조를 여러 층으로 적층하는 다중 마찰방식을 적용하였다. 개발된 다중 마찰댐퍼의 성능 검증을 위해서 재료에 대한 기초 물성과 마모 특성, 디스크 스프링에 대한 특성 분석 시험을 수행하였다. 마모시험 시험결과, UHMWPE의 질량 감소율은 0.003%로 복합재료 기반의 마찰재 중에서 가장 우수한 성능을 보였다. 디스크 스프링은 유한요소해석과 시험결과로부터 설계기초자료를 확보하였다. 또한 개발된 다중 마찰댐퍼의 품질 안정성을 확인하기 위해 토크값에 따른 마찰력 변화와 감쇠장치에 대한 지진하중 시험을 수행하였다. 품질성능 시험결과, 토크 값 조절에 따라 선형적인 마찰력 변화를 보였으며, 지진하중 시험 결과, 마찰댐퍼의 허용오차는 설계기준에서 요구하는 15% 미만으로 나타나 내진보강 장치로서의 요구조건을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

Sinking and fit of abutment of locking taper implant system

  • STATEMENT OF PROBLEM. Unlike screw-retention type, fixture-abutment retention in Locking taper connection depends on frictional force so it has possibility of abutment to sink. PURPOSE. In this study, Bicon$^{(R)}$ Implant System, one of the conical internal connection implant system, was used with applying loading force to the abutments connected to the fixture. Then the amount of sinking was measured. MATERIAL AND METHODS. 10 Bicon$^{(R)}$ implant fixtures were used. First, the abutment was connected to the fixture with finger force. Then it was tapped with a mallet for 3 times and loads of 20 kg corresponding to masticatory force using loading application instrument were applied successively. The abutment state, slightly connected to the fixture without pressure was considered as a reference length, and every new abutment length was measured after each load's step was added. The amount of abutment sinking (mm) was gained by subtracting the length of abutment-fixture under each loading condition from reference length. RESULTS. It was evident, that the amount of abutment sinking in Bicon$^{(R)}$ Implant System increased as loads were added. When loads of 20 kg were applied more than 5 - 7 times, sinking stopped at $0.45{\pm}0.09\;mm$. CONCLUSION. Even though locking taper connection type implant shows good adaption to occlusal force, it has potential for abutment sinking as loads are given. When locking taper connection type implant is used, satisfactory loads are recommended for precise abutment location.
