해양구조물용 고압 컨트롤 밸브에 대한 기초 연구 (A Fundamental Study on Offshore Structures of high pressure control valve)

  • This study have goal with conceptual design for Offshore Structures of high pressure control valve for localization. Ball valve for development accomplished with flow analysis based on provision of ANSI B16.34, ANSI B16.10, ANSI B16.25 In order to localize the Offshore Structures high pressure control valve. Numerical simulation using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) in order to predict a mass flow rate and a flow coefficient form flow dynamic point of view. The working fluid assumed the glycerin (C3H8O3). The valve inlet and outlet setup a pressure boundary condition. The outlet pressure was fixed by atmospheric pressure and calculated until increasing 1bar to 10bar. CFD analysis used STAR-CCM+ which is commercial code and Governing equations were calculated by moving mesh which is rotated 90 degrees when ball valve operated opening and closing in 1 degree interval. The result shows change of mass flow rate according to opening and closing angle of valve, Flow decrease observed open valve that equal percentage flow paten which is general inclination of ball valve. Relation with flow and flow coefficient can not be proportional according to inlet pressure when compare with mass flow rate. Because flow coefficient have influence in flow and pressure difference. Namely, flow can be change even if it has same Cv value. The structural analysis used ANSYS which is a commercial code. Stress analysis result of internal pressure in valve showed lower than yield strength. This is expect to need more detail design and verification for stem and seat structure.

  • Recently, plastic products in air-intake parts of automotive engines have become very popular due to advantages that include reduced weight, constricted cost, and lower intake air temperature. However, flow-induced noise in air-intake parts becomes a more serious problem for plastic intake-manifolds than for conventional aluminum-made manifolds. This is due to the fact that plastic manifolds transmit more noise owing to their lower material density. Internal aerodynamic noise from an Idle Speed control Actuator (ISA) is qualitatively analyzed by using a scaling law, which is expressed with some flow parameters such as pressure drop, maximum flow velocity, and turbulence kinetic energy. First, basic flow characteristics through ISA passage are identified with the flow predictions obtained by applying Computational Fluid Dynamics techniques. Then, the effects on ISA passage noise of each design factors including the duct turning shape and vane geometries are assessed. Based on these results, the preliminary low noise design for the ISA passage are proposed. The current method for the prediction of internal aerodynamic noise consists of the steady CFD and the scaling laws for the noise prediction. This combination is most cost-effective, compared with other methods, and therefore is believed to be suited for the preliminary design tool in the industrial field.

Transcranial Doppler를 이용(利用)한 급성기뇌경색(急性期腦硬塞)이 추골기저동맥계(椎骨基底動脈係) 혈관(血管)의 혈류속도(血流速度)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Transcranial Doppler(TCD) Assesment of Vertebrobasal Vascular Blood Flow in Cerebral Infarction)

  • Objectives : To determine the effects on blood flow of vertebrobasal vascular system in cerebral infarction, Methods : We altered 33 normal patients and 12 patients who were diagnosed cerebral infarction on Rt. middle cerebral artery(MCA) region and 8 patients who were diagnosed cerebral infarction on Lt, MCA region, and measured the mean velocity, systolic to diastolic rate(SD rate), asymmetrical index(A/I) by TCD. Results : The mean velocity of posterior cerebral artery(PCA), vertebral artery was increased in same direction as infarcted site and the mean velocity of basal artery was more increased than control, and the SD rate of PCA, vertebral artery, basal artery was larger than control. The A/l of PCA, vertebral artery was revealed that mean velocity of vertebrobasal vascular system is increase the same direction as infarcted area. Conclusion : TCD examination within 7 days(acute stage) after stroke can help to predict the infarcted direction.

  • 본 연구에서는 Whitmore와 Chandler의 모델을 기반으로 아산화질소를 사용하는 blow-down 방식의 하이브리드 로켓의 유량제어를 통한 추력제어 및 내탄도 해석에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 유량제어가 포함된 아산화질소의 탱크 내 거동에 대한 예측을 수행하였으며, 해석결과와 실험결과의 일치도가 상당히 높음을 확인하였다. 또한, 추력제어 내탄도 해석의 검증을 위하여 500 N급 하이브리드 로켓을 이용한 지상연소시험을 수행하였으며, 연소실 압력 및 추력 모두 실험결과와 해석결과가 상당히 일치함을 확인하여 추력제어 성능을 예측할 수 있는 모델링 기법을 제시하였다.

  • Nonlinear feedback control scheme for reactive distillation column has been proposed. The proposed control scheme is derived in the framework of Nonlinear Internal Model Control. The product compositions and liquid and vapor flow rates in sections of the reactive distillation column are estimated from selected tray temperature measurements by an observer. The control scheme is applied to example reactive distillation column in which two products are produced in a single column and the reversible reaction A + B = C + D occurs. Piosk : A Practical Kiosk To Prevent Information Leakage

  • One of important concerns in information security is to control information flow. It is whether to protect confidential information from being leaked, or to protect trusted information from being tainted. In this paper, we present Piosk (Physical blockage of Information flow Kiosk) that addresses both the problems practically. Piosk can forestall and prevent the leakage of information, and defend inner tangible assets against a variety of malwares as well. When a visitor who carries a re-writable portable storage device, must insert the device into Piosk installed next to the security gate. Then, Piosk scans the device at the very moment, and detects & repairs malicious codes that might be exist. After that, Piosk writes the contents (including sanitized ones) on a new read-only portable device such as a compact disk. By doing so, the leakage of internal information through both insiders and outsiders can be prevented physically. We have designed and prototyped Piosk. The experimental verification of the Piosk prototype implementation reveals that, Piosk can accurately detect every malware at the same detection level as Virus Total and effectively prevent the leakage of internal information. In addition, we compare Piosk with the state-of-the-art methods and describe the special advantages of Piosk over existing methods.

다채널 고온 초전도 볼텍스 유동 트랜지스터의 I-V 특성 해석 (Analysis of I-V Characteristics in the Multi-channel Superconducting Vortex Flow Transistor)

  • The principle of the superconducting vortex flow transistor (SVFT) is based on control of the Abrikosov vortex flowing along a channel. The induced voltage is controlled by a bias current and a control current, instead of external magnetic field. The device is composed of parallel weak links with a nearby current control line. We explained the process to get an I-V characteristic equation and described the method to induce the external and internal magnetic field by the Biot-Savarts law in this paper. The equation can be used to predict the I-V curves for fabricated device. From the equation we demonstrated that the current-voltage characteristics were changed with input parameters. I-V characteristics were simulated to analyze a SVFT with multi-channel by a computer program.

수소 충전소용 유량제어밸브(FCV)의 구조 및 피로해석을 통한 내구 성능 평가 (Durability Assessment by Structural and Fatigue Analysis of Flow Control Valves (FCVs) for Hydrogen Refueling Stations)

  • This study was conducted to develop a domestic product for a flow control valve for a hydrogen refueling station, and a domestic prototype was manufactured and the durability performance evaluation was conducted through comparison with an imported products. The stress generated by the internal pressure was checked and safety was confirmed using a commercial structural analysis program, ABAQUS, in accordance with the withstand pressure test standards. In addition, after identifying the weak areas the fatigue life was predicted through a commercial software, fe-safe. This fatigue analysis showed that the hydrogen gas repeated test criteria were satisfied.
