Background: Workforce health is one of the primary and most challenging issues, particularly in industrialized countries. This article aims at modeling the major factors affecting accidents in the workplace, including general health, work-family conflict, effort-reward imbalance, and internal and external locus of control. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Esfahan Steel Company in Iran. A total of 450 participants were divided into two groups-control and case-and the questionnaires were distributed among them. Data were collected through a 7-part questionnaire. Finally, the results were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and Amos software. Results: All the studied variables had a significant relationship with the accident proneness. In the case group, general health with a coefficient of -0.37, worke-family conflict with 0.10, effort-reward imbalance with 0.10, internal locus of control with -0.07, and external locus of control with 0.40 had a direct effect on occupational stress. Occupational stress also had a positive direct effect on accident proneness with a coefficient of 0.47. In addition, fitness indices of control group showed general health (-0.35), worke-family conflict (0.36), effort-reward imbalance (0.13), internal locus of control (-0.15), and external locus of control (0.12) have a direct effect on occupational stress. Besides, occupational stress with a coefficient of 0.09 had a direct effect on accident proneness. Conclusion: It can be concluded that although previous studies and the present study showed the effect of stress on accident and accident proneness, some hidden and external factors such as work-family conflict, effort-reward imbalance, and external locus of control that affect stress should also be considered. It helps industries face less occupational stress and, consequently, less occurrence rates of accidents.
This study compared and analyzed body composition, physical fitness, and physical self-concept between gifted students in mathematics and science attending Korea Science Academy (KSA) and non-gifted students attending traditional high schools. The KSA students were 117 males who entered the school in 2009. As a control group, a total of 117 non-gifted students were randomly selected from 5 cities. The results of covariate analysis taken 2 year interval, pretest (2009) and posttest (2010), indicated that gifted students were significantly taller (p<.05) than non-gifted students, and were lower in BMI (p<.05) and PBF (p<.001). There was no significant difference in physical fitness between gifted and non-gifted students. But non-gifted students have a significantly higher self-concept in physical appearance (p<.05) and physical strength (p<.05). The internal/external frame of reference model and the Big Fish Little Pond Effect (BFLPE) theory were supported. Especially, gifted students were significantly higher (p<.01) in endurance self-concept than non-gifted students. We have discussion this result as the future research subject whether it come from the characteristics of the gifted's tenacity at high level tasks.

Background: It has been proved that participating in exercise improves colorectal cancer patients' prognosis. This study is to identify barriers to exercise in Korean colorectal cancer patients and survivors. Materials and Methods: A total of 427 colorectal cancer patients and survivors from different stages and medical status completed a self-administered questionnaire that surveyed their barriers to exercise and exercise participation. Results: The greatest perceived exercise barriers for the sampled population as a whole were fatigue, low level of physical fitness, and poor health. Those under 60-years old reported lack of time (p=0.008), whereas those over 60 reported low level of physical fitness (p=0.014) as greater exercise barriers than their counterparts. Women reported fatigue as a greater barrier than men (p<0.001). Those who were receiving treatment rated poor health (p=0.0005) and cancer-related factors as greater exercise barriers compared to those who were not receiving treatment. A multivariate model found that other demographic and medical status were not potential factors that may affect exercise participation. Further, for those who were not participating in physical activity, tendency to be physically inactive (p<0.001) and lack of exercise skill (p<0.001) were highly significant barriers, compared to those who were participating in physical activity. Also, for those who were not meeting ACSM guidelines, cancer-related exercise barriers were additionally reported (p<0.001), compared to those who were. Conclusions: Our study suggests that fatigue, low level of physical fitness, and poor health are most reported exercise barriers for Korean colorectal cancer survivors and there are differences in exercise barriers by age, sex, treatment status, and physical activity level. Therefore, support for cancer patients should be provided considering these variables to increase exercise participation.

The purpose of this study is to compare the marginal and internal fit of metal and zirconia coping which is fabricated by manual and CAD/CAM(Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing). The model is prepared with Urethane material and two abutment teeth are fabricated with a knife and chamfer margin. Silicon replica technique is used to measure the marginal fit of manually fabricated and the CAD/CAM coping. Internal fitting level is measured with a microscope and the image is captured with a CCD camera. The distance between abutment teeth and coping is measured with a callibrated image analyzer software; marginal opening (MO), marginal gap (MG), internal gap (IG) at maximum curvature area, axial gap (AG), and occlusal gap (OG). Two-way ANOVA test is applied to compare fabrication technique and to analysis of abutment pattern. In addition, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's test is used to analyze each parameter of the test. The result shows that the fit is < $120{\mu}m$ except OG of CAD/CAM and MO of knife margin. The CAD/CAM fabricated coping showed higher fit level at chamfer margin. However, knife margin showed better fitness compared to chamfer margin at MG. AG showed the minimum dimension with a constant result (< $38{\mu}m$).
Objectives: Air pollution is a growing concern in Korea because of transboundary air pollution from mainland China. A panel study was conducted to clarify the effects of air pollution on respiratory symptoms and health-related quality of life (HR-QoL) in outpatients with and without chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in Korea. Methods: Patients filled out a questionnaire including self-reported HR-QoL in February and were followed up in May and July. The study was conducted from 2013 to 2015, with different participants each year. Air quality parameters were applied in a generalized estimating equation as independent variables to predict factors affecting HR-QoL. Results: Lower physical fitness scores were associated with Asian sand dust events. Daily activity scores were worse when there were high concentrations of particulate matter (PM) less than $10{\mu}m$ in diameter ($PM_{10}$). Lower social functioning scores were associated with high PM less than $2.5{\mu}m$ in diameter and nitrogen dioxide ($NO_2$) concentrations. High $NO_2$ concentrations also showed a significant association with mental health scores. Weather-related cough was prevalent when $PM_{10}$, $NO_2$, or ozone ($O_3$) concentrations were high, regardless of COPD severity. High $PM_{10}$ concentrations were associated with worsened wheezing, particularly in COPD patients. Conclusions: The results suggest that PM, $NO_2$, and $O_3$ cause respiratory symptoms leading to HR-QoL deterioration. While some adverse effects of air pollution appeared to occur regardless of COPD, others occurred more often and more intensely in COPD patients. The public sector, therefore, needs to consider tailoring air pollution countermeasures to people with different conditions to minimize adverse health effects.
To meet the increasing demand for energy around the world, offshore and subsea energy development is constantly being conducted. This trend is accompanied by an increasing demand for pipeline installation, which brings numerous problems, including those related to accessibility, high pressure, and corrosion. Among these, corrosion is a primary factor in pipeline fractures, and can cause severe environmental and industrial damage. Hence, accurate corrosion assessment for corroded pipelines is very important. For this reason, the present study investigated the mechanical behavior of an idealized corroded subsea pipeline with an internal/external pressure load using the commercial FEA code ABAQUS. Then, the analysis result was compared with corrosion assessment codes such as ASME B31G, DNV RP F101, ABS. Finally, a fitness-for-service assessment was conducted.

Though many insecticides are commercially available, development of resistance, pest resurgence and effects on non-target organisms led to the search for alternate insect pest management (IPM) strategy based on larval growth and reproductive fitness. Reproductive potential of insects depends on its acquiring of vitellogenic competence which is under hormonal control. Exogenous application of analogues of JR (JHAs) and ecdysterone could derail normal development and reproduction in insects by manipulating an array of physiological processes. In the rice pest, brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens, JHA, hydroprene induced metathetely from the fifth (final) instar nymphs in an age-dependent manner. Day 0 of the final instar showed highest sensitivity to induce this abnormal development. Adults emerged from treated day 3 nymphs looked normal. Both the morphotypes were reproductively incompetent and showed partial to complete sterility. Pre-adult exposure of the ovarian tissue to hydroprene suppressed mitotic division of germinal cells and induced abnormalities in the later s1ages of growth and differentiation of ovary in N. lugens. More over the nymphal exposure to hydroprene inhibited patency changes of follicular epithelium and affected competence of the follicles for yolk sequestration. In the absence of ovarian growth and oocyte differentiation, germarium found disintegrated, trophic core regressed and terminal oocytes resorbed. Hydroprene exposure to newly ecdysed brachypterous females did not affect ovarian development and egg production. Proper larval-adult transition appeared as a. prerequisite for vitellogenic competence in N. lugens for which the ovarian tissues must be exposed to ecdysterone in the internal milieu devoid of JH.

To improve abdominal muscles strengthening, double straight leg lowering (DSLL) has been widely used in physical therapy, fitness program, and athletic program. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the lumbar stabilization maneuver with a pressure biofeedback unit on the muscle activity of rectus abdominis (RA), external oblique (EO), and internal oblique (IO) during DSLL. Fourteen healthy young men were recruited from university population. The electromyography (EMG) activity was recorded from the RA, EO, and IO of both sides. The normalized EMG activity was compared using a paired t-test. The study showed that EMG activity in the RA, EO, and IO was significantly higher during DSLL with lumbar stabilization (DSLL-LS) compared to performed DSLL (p<.05). These results suggest that DSLL-LS is recommended as an effective method for strengthening exercise for the abdominal muscles.
The purpose of this study was to categorize brand-switching behaviors into subdivided groups by variety seeking and perceived differences between brands and to compare and to analyze brand-switching motive perceived differences between brands clothing-involvement and buying price among the subdivided groups. The subjects were 343 female and male to have jean pants-buying experience in their age of 20-29 living in Seoul and Kyunggi province. For the analysis of the data mean frequency t-test $\chi^2$-Test Factor analysis MANOVA Duncan-test were conducted and the cronbach's $\alpha$ has been calculated to measure the reliability The results are as follows: 1. brand-switching behaviors are categorized into 4 groups by strength of variety-seeking and perceived differences between brands that are small or large which are habitual brand switchers internal derived brand-switchers external derived brand-switchers and combined derived brand-switchers. 2. Among the 4 sub-groups there were significant difference in brand-switching motive according to factors such as change-seeking needs and price & promotion. And there were significant differences in perceived differences between brands according to factors such as apparel design clothing -symbolism fitness except apparel shop. 3. According to strength of variety-seeking levels of clothing-involvement and buying price have increased Combined derived brand-switchers have totally the strongest variety-seeking and the highest clothin-involvement and they purchase the highest priced jean-pants of the other types of consumers.
In this study, the characteristics of digital anthropometric methods were determined with case studies. These methods were broadly classified into two categories: non-wearable and wearable. Then, these categories were further classified into four types: 3D Scanning, mobile app, smart clothing, and smart tool Among the non-wearable types, the "3D scanning" technique was based on the use of 3D hardware equipment. With this technique, the body shape was measured and the internal body information was obtained. Therefore, it is used in fields of healthcare and fitness. Among the wearable types, "Smart clothing" involves a special clothing that measures human body and a smartphone application. Both the components are linked to a fashion platform, which is based on the measured sizes that help shoppers. The "Smart tool" has the characteristic of measuring only with smart tools and smartphone applications; it does not involve the measurement of images. The common advantage of digital anthropometric methods are as follows: they reduce the time and cost of measurement by enabling self-measurement. Moreover, simple measurements are used to determine the size of anthropometry. Thereafter, it accumulates this data to track the continuous changes in size. From an industrial point of view, digital anthropometric technology should be used to increase sales. The on-demand market can be expanded as global consumers would throng the Korean fashion market. For the consumer, an avatar should be created to fit the user's size. This would provide a fun experience to the user.
