Reactor Noise is defined as the fluctuations of measured instrumentation signals during full-power operation of reactor which have informations on reactor system dynamics such as neutron kinetics, thermal-hydraulics, and structural dynamics. Reactor noise analyses of ex-core neutron detector internals such as fuel assembly and Core Support Barrel in Nuclear Power Plant. A real time mode separation technique have been developed and applied for the analyses. The analyses data base have been constructed for the continuous monitoring and diagnose of the reactor internals. Detailed design of diagnostic system reactor internal structures using neutron noise(RIDS).

This paper presents a nonlinear robust approach to the slip control problem for a torque converter bypass clutch in a passenger car. The proposed nonlinear robust controller builds upon only the measurements avail-able from inexpensive sensors that are already installed in passenger cars for control. The issue of torque estimation problems for the implementation of the proposed controller is addressed. The stability of the internal dynamics is investigated, upon which a nonlinear robust controller is designed using input-output feedback linearization and Lyapunov redesign technique. The performance of the designed controller is validated by simulation studies.

Numerical analysis for valve train dynamics of an internal combustion engine is presented. The components of the valve train are modeled by finite element techniques, and the dynamic contacts between the components are analyzed by the solution strategies of differential algebraic equations. Also an iterative scheme similar to the augmented Lagrange multiplier method is employed to enforce the contact constraints. It is shown that the contact and separation between the components of the valve train can be computed by the finite element techniques, and the numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the solution.
The internal temperature will change depending on operation conditions and material of cyclone dust collector. This study compares the results of collection efficiency and temperature distribution on the different heat flux at wall of dust collector. The previous researcher's experiment results were used to confirm the reliability of CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) model. Based on this verified CFD model, we extended the analysis on the cyclone dust collectors. In CFD study, we used RNG k-epsilon model for analysis of turbulence flow, fluid is air, the velocity at inlet is 10 m/s, the temperature of air is $600^{\circ}C$. Because of the difference of outer vortex and inner vortex temperature, the collection efficiency will reduce with the increase of heat flux, showed the highest collection efficiency at heat insulation.
In the chemical, mineral and electronics, mechanically stirred tanks are widely used for complex liquid mixing processes. The paper present results from a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model for the mixing tank in casing process. We used CFD software, FLUENT(Fluent, Inc, Lebanon, NH, version 6.2). A species transport model was used to model the problem. The flow patterns in a mixing tank, 1.6 m in diameter and 2.0 m in height, were studied using CFD. Numerical analysis results show that improved mixing tank was reduced low speed flow region and turbulent region in internal flow of mixing tank.
This paper proposes a linear model predictive control of 6-DOF remotely operated underwater vehicles using nonlinear robust internal-loop compensator (NRIC). First, we design a integrator embedded linear model prediction controller for a linear nominal model, and then let the real model follow the values calculated through forward dynamics. This work is carried out through an NRIC and in this process, modeling errors and external disturbance are compensated. This concept is similar to disturbance observer-based control, but it has the difference that H∞ optimality is guaranteed. Finally, tracking results at trajectory containing the velocity discontinuity point and the position tracking performance in the disturbance environment is confirmed through the comparative study with a traditional inverse dynamics PD controller.
Background: The number of immigrants with tuberculosis (TB) increases each year in South Korea. Determining the transmission dynamics based on whole genome sequencing (WGS) to cluster the strains has been challenging. Methods: WGS, annotation refinement, and orthology assignment for the GenBank accession number acquisition were performed on two clinical isolates from Chinese immigrants. In addition, the genomes of the two isolates were compared with the genomes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates, from two native Korean and five native Chinese individuals using a phylogenetic topology tree based on the Multiple Alignment of Conserved Genomic Sequence with Rearrangements (Mauve) package. Results: The newly assigned accession numbers for two clinical isolates were CP020381.2 (a Korean-Chinese from Yanbian Province) and CP022014.1 (a Chinese from Shandong Province), respectively. Mauve alignment classified all nine TB isolates into a discriminative collinear set with matched regions. The phylogenetic analysis revealed a rooted phylogenetic tree grouping the nine strains into two lineages: strains from Chinese individuals and strains from Korean individuals. Conclusion: Phylogenetic trees based on the Mauve alignments were supposed to be useful in revealing the dynamics of TB transmission from immigrants in South Korea, which can provide valuable information for scaling up the TB screening policy for immigrants.

The effects of internal waves on dynamics of hypoxic waters were investigated by numerical simulation by means of a hydrostatic-ecosystem coupled numerical model for Lake Biwa. The numerical model consists of hydrostatic and ecosystem submodels. Numerical simulation was carried out for a period during April 2007 and March 2008, after preliminary numerical simulation for three years. As a result, the numerical model could capture the vertical profiles of the observed water quality. During September 30 and October 21 in 2007, the major internal waves were Kelvin and Poincare waves, the periods of which were 1.63 or 1.77 days and 0.48 days, respectively. Hypoxic waters appeared in bottom boundary layer around October and were still when thermocline locates in upper layer. During late autumn and winter seasons, differences in density between upper and lower layers were reduced and the amplitude of internal waves increased. Hypoxic waters began to move under the effects of internal waves. Movement of hypoxic waters will diminish the habitat for aquatic organisms in deeper waters.
The two correlation times previously obtained in our coupled $^{13}C$ relaxation measurement for the methyl group in 2,6-dichlorotoluene may be used as a criterion for evaluating the reorientation dynamics of an internal rotor. We numerically tested an extended diffusion model and the Smoluchowski diffusion equation to see how the rotational inertial effect and jump character contribute to the internal correlation time ratio of the internal rotor. We also analytically solved the general jump model with three different rate constants in a sixfold symmetric potential barrier. By assuming that the internal rotation of the methyl group in 2,6-dichlorotoluene can be described in terms of jumps among sixfold harmonic potential wells, we can conclude that the jump model satisfactorily reproduce the experimental data and the rate for sixfold jump is at least 1.53 times as great as that of a threefold jump.
